  • "We had a lovely week here."

    Very relaxing. The garden and bi-fold doors were a big plus. Very comfortable, apart from the twin beds which were very creaky and lumpy. Very clean with nice towels. Lovely kitchen area. Could do with a few more tea towels though, and the TV badly needs updating. We couldn't get into any of our streaming services, and as a previous review said, a mirror and dressing table in the twin room would be appreciated, but overall, a lovely place to stay.

  • "Lovely property great for a break."

    Has everything you need there. Comfortable beds. However a mirror of any kind in the twin bedroom would have been a good idea. There is plenty of room to put a dressing table or mirror. Does make it awkward to dry your hair in the master bedroom when others need to use theirs too.

  • "Really warm welcoming homely feel to the property."

    Spotlessly clean. All appliances worked beautifully instructions booklets another plus. One small note main bathroom extractor fan not working. Beds very comfortable and towels and linen top quality. Tourist information current and plentiful. Wfi excellent. Outside area delightful bi-fold doors added to experience. Delightful area to stay close to so many gems. We visit the new forest frequently and this revealed some new areas to explore.

  • "Squirrels dray was very clean and comfortable, kitchen had everything you need to make meals everyday although the microwave could do with being replaced (very old and small, but still in working order)."

    Very well laid out with plenty of space and a lovely log burner in the middle for cosy evenings. Will definitely be returning.

  • "We are a family of three and had a lovely stay at Squirrels Drey for a week, it surpassed our expectation."

    The property was lovely and well equipped with everything you could need for a short stay. There was tennis, pickleball and a pool on the site we could use. We went out and about exploring Portsmouth and surrounding areas and had lovely meals in local pubs and restaurants. It was a throughly relaxing week. Thank you.

  • "There were a few Maintainance issues - door & window handles loose & a badly fitting plinth in the kitchen However when I rang the owner, she couldn’t have been more helpful & thanked us for bringing it to her attention & promised that these would be rectified after our stay."

    The chalet was well equipped & very comfortable & the site was lovely & peaceful.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay in December."

    We were a party of three adults and found absolutely everything we needed - lovely Christmas tree, plenty of kitchen equipment including oven trays. The cottage is toasty warm with underfloor heating and we didn’t feel the need to use the wood fire, although you’re provided with kindling, wood etc for your first burn. I was “working form the Drey” for a couple of days and the Wi-Fi is absolutely fine. We had a little issue one day with a tripped circuit outside of the cottage, but had very prompt response from the contact and it was fixed within 10 minutes. In fact communication before and during the stay was excellent. The location is lovely and quiet and even in December it was amazing to hear the wildlife and birds. Agree that more effort could possibly be put in to providing recycling - we took ours home. Oh, and the towels are amazingly fluffy and cozy. Would definitely recommend and happily return if in the area.

  • "A brilliant cottage with everything you could ever need, a very quiet location with its own private garden."

    There are lots of places to visit within half an hours drive. We especially liked the use of the pool, sauna and tennis courts, which were very easy to book. Parking was of great benefit just being the other side of the garden gate. We would definitely look to use the cottage again if ever holidaying in this area.

  • "We had a great week at Squirrel’s Drey - it’s a large cottage, well equipped, great showers and fluffy towels - we loved the private garden area and use of the country club facilities was a bonus."

    My only gripe was the lack of recycling facilities - we stored up our glass, plastic and paper and recycled it at home. Looking after the planet is important so this is an addition the owners need to address!

  • "We had a fantastic stay."

    The cottage was beautiful and the facilities at the country club were excellent. Only criticism is it said baby friendly but there was no travel cot, so we had to bring our own! Thanks for a brilliant time

  • "The plumbing was a little challenging."

    Both Toilets didn’t alway flush and the main part of the showers in both bathrooms didn’t seem to work only the hand held ones. Otherwise all good though a very found the heating on at 30 degrees .
