Absolutely superb on every level.

Venue is exceptional, the books and games were perfect, the kitchen had all the kit we needed and the venue guide/info book was spot on. Great location, lots of character, and the small bit of noise from the road was easy to ignore. Would love to stay again.

We had a lovely stay thank you, it was perfect, a beautiful interesting historical cottage but comfortable and with all mod cons.

A fabulous character cottage in a charming village setting.

We stayed for three nights as a girls’ getaway and had such a lovely time. The hosts had provided everything we could possibly need, especially in the well-equipped kitchen, along with plenty of helpful local information. The cottage itself is beautiful, full of character, and the spacious living areas were perfect for our group stay. Thank you again for a wonderful break!

The property is very comfortable and charming.

Lovely big rooms and stylishly decorated. It is also very well equiped, one of the best we ever had. Although it is located next to a very busy road, the garden is very private and green. We thought it a very good and nice house in a good location to explore Hampshire. We did have some issues. A lot of the trees and bushes are very overgrown and take away a lot of sunshine. Even though we had blue sky and 20 degrees, after five o' clock the sun was blocked and we couldn't sit outside. The drive is narrow and covered by trees which made a lot of mess or our cars. The kids had very red and irritated skin after using the hot tub for 20 min. The water quality was off. The owner responded quickly and the chlorine level was better after that but I would recommend testing before using. All in all we had a great week and found it a great place to stay. With some gardening it would be perfect.

Coppice Hill House was just what we needed for our multi generational family break.

Facilities were excellent, although we didn't get to use the extensive library/games etc, it was great to have them as a back up. The hot tub was a bit hit with everyone, as was the exceedingly well equipped kitchen. The only very minor thing we were missing were bins - could have done with a bin either the bedrooms or bathrooms. Would highly recommend to anyone for a big party type holiday (ours was a 70th birthday) We only tested one pub (The Crown) but it was very friendly and the food was great.

All facilities you would expect at home! Would thoroughly recommend for a long winter weekend away!

Well….

.we got to the house ok and it all went uphill from there. The welcome pack was a nice touch, and was consumed upon arrival after our journey. We were all impressed with the various rooms, along with the creaks and groans that go hand in hand with a place that has been around for centuries. The hot tub was brilliant, and we were conscious of the neighbours, so we kept laughter to a minimum until we got in. After all gathering around the electric hob we eventually got it working ok, so it was fortunate that the instructions were there, but it added to the festivities. The only issue was the lack of availability for the glass empties. We looked for a black box, but decided to put them with the previous renter’s one, which was a small crate, as best we could, as well as using a recycling unit whenever we remembered. ‘Keys, wallet, empty bottles’…..nah! So, all in all, a pleasant time had by all!

A property full of character and probably the best equipped home we’ve ever stayed in.

If you are looking for pristine (soulless) decor this isn’t for you but if you want charm Coppice Hill house oozes it in every room. For rainy days the library has an amazing selection of board games, books, DVDs and a games consol. The enclosed rear garden is safe for outside play. There was a comprehensive range of information about the house, its history and the local area. The owners were responsive when we had minor queries and clearly focused on making our stay relaxed and happy. Beds were comfy, we had a four generation family reunion and from youngest to oldest we all loved our stay.

The property was very well stocked with anything we might need, including a heated airer and plenty of cooking and dining equipment which was really good as we had a full house.

I corresponded with the owner about the television and she responded quickly. The only downside was how busy the road was outside the property which isn't anything that can be resolved, fortunately for us we couldn't relax in the garden as it rained so much!!

Beautiful property, well maintained, great location (we had a short drive to Peppa Pig world for our daughter and to Portsmouth to visit HMS Victory and also a day trip to Isle of Wight).

We travelled from the North East, so a long journey, but it was worth it! Comfortable beds, excellent living/kitchen space. Enjoyed doing the provided jigsaws & games on the rainy day too. My family loved the hot tub and our dog loved the big garden - nice and safe for a 4 year old and a dog! One thing I will mention is it is quite noisy from the traffic due to being on a busy road. This didn’t bother me and certainly isn’t anything the owners can do about it, but just wanted to point it out so anyone else thinking of booking will be prepared. Great communication from owners and lovely touch of leaving scones/tea/coffee. Also thanks for leaving fans in bedrooms, as it was quite humid during our stay due to the lovely weather! Thank you for a wonderful stay, I would not hesitate to recommend! :)

This is a lovely home which is very well equipped.

There are lots of mugs glasses crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment. A whole cupboard of plastic cups and crockery kids cutlery, ideal for children or our doors. We enjoyed the hot tub and the young children enjoyed exploring the games in playroom and the outside games in the phone box! Beds were comfortable and spacious, having baths as well as shower is a treat! Thank you!

A lovely old property full of character and charm It was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped.

There was plenty of outside space where we enjoyed al fresco dining and the hot tub as well of course! The location was great with easy access to countryside and coast It was good to have the town within walking distance with it's coffee shops and pubs. We would be more than happy to spend another family break there.

Another wonderful weekend in this well equipped cottage.

The weather was sunny and warm so we were able to make use of the garden as well as the hot tub. Fiona is a great host and communication was excellent. The cottage is situated within walking distance of the lovely town and surrounding walks which makes it ideal for a relaxing get together with family or friends.

Coppice house was a lovely old property with everything you could wish for.

We enjoyed the rambling old house and the closeness to the palace ruins and village. The owner provided quick response to any questions we had which was nice. The gardens felt very neglected and as we had such nice weather we spent time outside. I’m sure we were just unlucky that the gardener had not attended before we arrived and left. Also no mention of the property being on a major road which was very noisy. All in all a lovely place to stay.

What a lovely old house, spacious, well supplied and with some welcome Easter treats to welcome us in.

We found the road very noisy but everything else was as expected. We were disappointed to find the local ponds inaccessible for pond dipping. The hot tub was a great success! It was really useful to have the two separate lounges and TVs but we had trouble using the DVD until it was discovered to be disconnected.

We all had a lovely stay.

We loved the array of games and books the beds were comfy and there was plenty of space for everyone. The wood burning fire was fab too. The only thing I would have liked to have had was some tin foil and cling film available. No huge drama as we went and bought some but would have meant the oven dishes were easier to clean. Despite being on a main road you cannot hear it from inside at all. I would recommend the property for large mixed families and the fact we could bring the dog was a huge bonus. She loved barking at the pigeons goading her from the trees in the garden. A brilliant stay.

An all female family weekend.

There was eight of us and it is difficult to find a property with enough beds, but this house fitted our needs perfectly. It was well equipped in a great location for the town and local walks. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. We had a fantastic weekend and hope to do it again soon. Thank you Fiona for your communication and attention to detail it was much appreciated.

Lovely holiday home.

Stayed here during half term and had a great time. It had everything we needed. Nice little village with 3 pubs (the nicest one was closed for a refit) but the one closed to the house was okay & very busy. Great dish & chip shop and traditional butchers.

Would highly recommend this lovely house.

It was a very homely and a chilled out place to stay. As the weather was so bad we were unable to venture out very far, but we didn't need to . The house had everything we needed, from a well equipped kitchen to games, books etc. The beds were very comfy and there was an added bonus of the hot tub. There were 2 local pubs within 5 minutes walk and a variety of shops and cafes that provided everything.we needed. It was a great central location. Thank you to the owners for a very clean house and the additional welcome pack .

We absolutely loved this house.

It’s full of character with lots of interesting features. The beds were all extremely comfy, the library is fantastic place to unwind, and my kids loved the hot tub. I would not hesitate to book it again if we are ever in the area.

We highly recommend this stunning, beautiful cottage.

It’s so spacious and clean and in a great location! On our arrival we had a welcome pack, a nice little touch. There was a recommendation booklet to read which was very useful as we wasn’t familiar with the area. There was plenty to do, 10 mins drive to Marwell zoo, definitely worth a visit. 20 mins to the watercress steam railway. Lovely places to go for a nice walk. Even had 2 local pubs which were a 5 mins walk. Also a good selection of restaurants. And to top all this there was a relaxing hot tub to come back to. Choices of outdoor and indoor games to play. The beds were extremely comfy. And It was a luxury to have a four poster with an en-suite. With an extra separate bathroom & downstairs shower & toilet. We will definitely be coming back!

Loved staying in Coppice Hill House.

It has a very family, comfortable, cosy feel. The outdoor space is great and enjoyed playing garden games and the hot tub.

Lovely house with a very well appointed kitchen.

Loved the study and master bedroom. Would love a couple of bar stools in the kitchen to use for breakfast and for someone whilst watching cooking prep. Gardens are more suited to big dogs but if we stayed with ours we could stop them using the steps. Nice touch to leave a hamper. Feel privileged to stay in such a beautiful family home
