"This was a lovely little place to stay which had all that we needed for breakfast and dinner for when we decided not to eat out."
It was close enough to walk to everything you need and want in Bournemouth but it was far enough away to be quiet and chilled when you reached the apartment. The bed was comfortable but was a bit soft but the sofa bed was good to sleep on.
The apartment is on a steepish hill and does have steep stairs leading to it so you do have to bear that in mind for if you have a small child or person who has mobility difficulties but is close to the centre of Bournemouth and the beach (10 minute slow walk).
Overall we had a lovely stay and we had everything we needed plus the added little touches were a welcome addition. Thank you

"Location is great."
However, the property needs a deep clean generally throughout. The bedding was not of an acceptable cleanliness standard and the bed was not used. Didn't stay for the time booked (leaving on Thursday rather than Saturday).
Could be a great property with more focus on preparation of the property for guests.

"This property listing gave the impression that it was in Sandbanks, but in fact it was in the centre of Bournemouth on a steep hill."
On first impression, the flat seemed very nice, but the mattress on the bed was very soft, I’m 73 and have a bad back, so I ended up sleeping on the sofa, my daughter found it more comfortable to sleep on the floor.
As the week went by, the flat became more and more infested with blue bottle flies, I contacted the owner and a can of fly killer was delivered promptly, but did not get rid of the problem, on one day I must have hoovered up at least 100 dead or dying flies, I continued to hoover them up daily throughout our stay, they just kept reoccurring 20-30 each time, it made me feel sick, they would be buzzing around my head as I tried to sleep on the sofa at night.
We also reported to the owner that water was accumulating on the floor in the bathroom, next to the outside wall (caused by a damp problem) but nothing was done about it.
The flat itself could probably do with a good freshen up and a deep clean, the bedding was old and could do with replacing, the walls outside of the flat as you come down the steps need painting, they are dirty with black mould on them.
In its present condition, I would not recommend staying in this flat, but once it’s had a deep clean and freshened up, it would make a good base for exploring Bournemouth.
Also, don’t advertise it as Sandbanks, this is misleading.

"Great little apartment in a great location for both the town & beach."
Bed & sofa were super comfy, nice big bath towels & the little outside area was perfect for a morning cuppa. The blinds in the bedroom & lounge needed to be darker. Very much enjoyed our stay & will definitely return. Cheaper parking is round the corner at the NCP if there are no spaces outside.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, thank you for the feedback I will look at what we can do about darkening the window coverings. x

"Generally okay but there was mould near the bedroom outer door and a few signs of damp which probably explains some peeling wallpaper."
Shower and bathroom was probably the best feature along with the convenience of being so close to town and the beach. However parking can be challenge as there's very few spaces. Lastly, there was a homeless person camping next to the apartment and a smell of drugs especially on Friday and Saturday night's. The music from the nightclub across the road was quite disruptive too. Overall, we did enjoy our stay but it probably wasn't ideal for our family set up (2x2). More suited for single or couples visiting. Thanks to the owner for fixing the pullout bed and providing extra kitchen amenities.
Apologies for the late reply but I wanted to get you some answers. I am so sorry the external are of the apartment did not come up to scratch and you had the problem in the bedroom.
we have since stripped back the wall in the bedroom and dealt with a leak in the corner and replastered and redecorated. The land next to the apartment has now been sold and cleared and looks like it maybe additional parking for the hotel at the bottom of the hill. it is now all clean and gated. I can only apologise re the nightclub at the back of the property on the other side of the road down the hill but unfortunately you are right in the town centre within walking distance of everything so at the weekend it can have a lively atmosphere.

"From the outside the property looked disappointing, overflowing wheelie bins, and some kind of hostel a few doors away, I have worked in homeless hostels, so it was an educated guess."
The residents often out side smoking, I found this a bit off putting but not as much as the bins, there was a used condom left on the path by the bins. So a lot to over look.
I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience on accessing the flat but you indicate you were happy with our flat itself?
Unfortunately the whole street is listed buildings and the bins have to be put on the streets on Wednesday nights for Thursday collection and it can look a mess as these are put out for 24 hrs. One of the the properties further up the street is rented by the room to people on benefits but we have not had anyone bothered or disturbed by this and no complaints of bad behaviour or noise. unfortunately int he town centre you get access to everywhere but also everyone.

"Services was great they replace toaster when we called them."
Sofa bed was not 100% fit for sleeping and be mindful you have to carry pushchair downstairs because it's not at ground level. no noise.
Everything nearby. Shops restaurants beach etc Recommended for all but not if you have pushchair.
Apologise, I will check the description as this is the downstairs flat and does benefit from its own front door and outside area but obviously stairs are necessary. Buggy's could be brought in the outdoor area at the back which I believe is just two steps down.

"Pleasantly surprised that the interior of Sandbanks was of a high quality and well maintained."
We did have a problem with the heating boiler and within 20 minutes of contacting Sykes the owner was at the flat and resolved it and also sent an engineer round the following day to ensure that things were hunky dory.
All in all a very enjoyable stay
Recommend parking up between 4 to 7 pm as we always found a space on the road right outside flat for our weeks stay.
Sorry late response
Many thanks for your positive feedback.
Also the handy tip with regards to parking.
