  Great bathroom with large shower area, well equipped kitchen, dining/sitting area has modern Ikea type furniture and the bedroom has a comfortable bed. Generally clean although skirting boards could do with dusting!

• "This weeks holiday destination was chosen so that I could have some complete rest and relaxation."

  Also being my first solo holiday with my dog Billy. It was just perfect. Accommodation was so comfortable and very well equipped. Lovely and quiet with a couple of residential homes near by so didn't feel isolated. I took a relaxing garden chair with me and sat out in the grounds under a lovely tree with some shade from the sun. I would highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed.

• "The property is newly refurbished with good finishes to the kitchen, bathroom etc."

  It has a feel of upmarket student accommodation, with charmless furnishings and no artwork or personal touches. The furnishings are inexpensive and comfort is minimalist. The bed is basic, the only seating is relatively uncomfortable. The dwelling just lacks comfort,warmth and character. Ir you want a spotless newly refurbished holiday without character and comfort, then this is for you.

• "We had a lovely 2 night stay whilst we were visiting family in Southampton."

  The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and all bedding was good quality. The large outdoor space was perfect for sitting and enjoying the lovely warm evenings we had too.

• "We enjoyed our time so much."

  The accommodations is beautiful in lovely surroundings overlooking farm fields out the way of hustle and bustle of busy life, yet only 8 mins away from a retail park where everything you want can be got. We had days in Portsmouth at the Marie Rose ship, Southampton shopping and beach day at Bournemouth. We ate great food in the Farmers Home in the village. The Old Parlour was by far one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The only down fall was muddy dog paws on the floor along with bath mat but I’m sure with how clean everything else where this was just an oversight from two busy working people and would not stop us from revisiting.

• "Very nice place to stay."

  Equipped well but could do with paring knife, teapot and an ordinary soft broom and proper dustpan. The one that was there wasn’t adequate. French door wouldn’t lock without a great deal of force and I assume that will be mended. Would certainly go again. Very well planned out property.

• "Highly Recommended: A Perfect Hub for Exploring the South Coast We recently spent 10 nights at this wonderful holiday let, and it was the perfect base for our coastal adventures."

  Situated in a prime location near Southampton and Portsmouth, the property offers a wonderfully quiet and relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. The let was thoughtfully designed and provided every amenity we could possibly need for a long stay: * Living Space: A comfortable sitting area perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. * Kitchen: Fully equipped with everything you need to feel at home. * Bedroom & Bath: A cozy bedroom and a clean, modern bathroom with a great shower. We were so touched to find milk, biscuits, and crisps waiting for us on arrival—exactly what we needed after a long drive! The property features a large back garden and patio area. While it’s not enclosed, being located on a working farm meant we didn’t have to worry about our dog wandering too far. The owners live on-site, which was incredibly helpful. They are exceptionally friendly and hospitable, always available if we had a question but never intrusive. The location is unbeatable for sightseers. During our stay, we managed to visit: * Nature: The New Forest, The South Downs, and long dog walks at Itchen Valley Park. * Coastal Towns: Christchurch, Bournemouth, and a trip over to the Isle of Wight. * Hidden Gems: We discovered the Weald & Downland Living Museum (where The Repair Shop is filmed), which was a fantastic find! * Plenty of local pubs serving food, a shop and garage and a five minute drive to a retail park with a couple of good supermarkets. Whether you are a couple traveling with or without a dog, we cannot recommend this place enough. It is peaceful, well-equipped, and perfectly positioned.

• "Great property."

  All very clean, well laid out and welcoming; directions were perfect. Good place for exploring New Forest, Southampton and Portsmouth areas. Lovely quiet location - perfect for us (a couple in their 50s, with a dog, needing a short break away!) Nit-picking I know, but maybe a draining board rack would be advantageous? Other than that it couldn't have been better. Thanks!!

• "Beautiful place to stay with very nice touches."

  There was milk in the fridge aswell as biscuits, wine and treats for our dog . It was perfect for our trip to Southampton. I would highly recommend this property.

• "The old parlour is a lovely little place."

  Welcome basket on arrival, even some bits for my dog. Thank you very much. Towel in a basket by the front door for muddy paws too, lovely touch. Very clean and well supplied with crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. I found the only thing missing was a broom. Dustban and brush and a mop etc to clean the lovely wooden floors. I like to leave a place as clean as it is when I get there. I did my best with what we had. The old Parlour is just on the outskirts of Durley. Beautiful area and lots of places to walk the dog. Our stay did coincide with bad weather and lots of mud and water. There are also lots of amenities nearby. We loved our long weekend and I would highly recommend staying there.
