Perfect location for walks around the area and lots to see and do in the vicinity. We were unlucky in that the pub was closed during our stay but can imagine that when open, it makes this location an even better place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the pub across the road, visited the local community shop within the church. There is a cafe above it too! We walked to Croft Castle NT and drove to Berrington Hall NT and Hampton Court Castle and Gardens. All very close. The Cart Barn is a lovely place to stay in. Facilities very good and they have provided lots of leaflets about walks and the local area.

  • "A warm welcome from the owner."

The cart barn has a nice modern interior, with good amenities. Outside sympathetic with other buildings. The village has a community shop in the church, and a very nice pub. Our only negative is the state of the roads, so many potholes, and extremely narrow lanes.

The country lanes are very narrow making it interesting to drive around. Lots of National trust properties around, so a good base for a holiday.
