What guests are saying

The listing on Sykes website was inaccurate.

There was no freezer - only a fridge with ice-box. Also this had not been properly maintained - the ice build-up did not allow the door of the ice box to close resulting in further ice build-up and therefore barely useable capacity in the ice-box. The owner has been notified of this and other problems below. The property - although comfortable with good electric heating - needed some further maintenance: the bathroom door handle was loose and cobwebs should be removed from the porch. Also, instructions were not supplied for operating the kitchen appliances - particularly the induction hob and oven. Turning to the property location, the instructions provided by Sykes were wrong (led to a location near Culloden battlefield some 10 miles away) but luckily the property owner was able to supply correct instructions before our arrival (by email - mobile phone number supplied only took answerphone messages). On the plus side, the property had a secluded and peaceful location, with forest walks nearby; however we would not anticipate returning on account of the shortcomings listed above.
