  • "We had a lovely stay and 68 Crosswinds."

The caravan was bigger and more luxurious than expected, with excellent facilities, e.g. washing machine, dishwasher etc. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfy. We would return.

Good communication with the owner especially when we had a problem with the gas. It was sorted quickly, Would benefit from a hair dryer, iron/ ironing board and coffee machine.

Only took 5 mins to walk over to the guest services and shop. Whole site was well maintained. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation, and it felt very homely.

  • "This holiday home is great, the only negative feedback is the site facilities, check them out before buying a pass."

Swimming pools both dirty with stuff floating in them, tiles need a good clean. The rest of the areas need a thorough facelift - £40 for 1 swim.....I wished I checked them out! Chris & Ruth are excellent hosts, accommodation wonderful and of a high standard. Thank you

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed our holiday home, we strive to keep it of a high standard of comfort and cleanliness. It is unfortunate that the facilities on the park are currently substandard. As we hope you can appreciate this is somewhat out of our control, however we will forward your comments on to the park's management. We sincerely hope that this did not impact too much on your holiday and if you holiday on the Isle of Wight in the future, we will gladly welcome you back to our holiday home. Thank you, Chris & Ruth Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely but an issue with the TV reception was not sorted for 5 days nearly all the holiday."

Regardless of a bank holiday there should be things in place for this for the amount paid for the holiday. Oven trays missing had to buy our own and no oven gloves provided.

  • "It was wonderful, I highly recomend, so clean, so comfortable, with everything we needed."

Our needs are very specific as my husband is really disabled, so a walk in shower and room to be able to comfortably walk around the bed, with as few as possible steps and close parking were all 'musts'. We also had great cooking facilities, a dishwasher and washer, plus the sofas and beds were really comfy (a tv in the main bedroom, which had a king sized bed was particularly helpful). This may be a caravan, but it was head and shoulders about other accommodations, and the area of site was really quiet, another plus. I am so pleased that I found this caravan, I do like caravans, but in general they are nolonger suitable for us, this one was fabulous!

Really enjoyed the property, we all like it, whitecliff Bay, need to get there act together, with, Entrainment, very poor, like the swimming pool outside, lifeguard fantastic, staff in the club at night, very good, it's the poeple at the top, who run the camp poor, Poeple who driver cars a round crosswinds need to slowly down, but crosswinds very nice place, so the property is a 10, Entrainment 3

  • "Enjoyed seven night stay at Crosswinds 68."

Quiet location and good view of the planes flying from Bembridge. Very clean and comfortable and everything needed was there. Only criticism is that we didn't take any games and unfortunately there were none at the property. Very easy to get around as buses stop 5 minutes away with excellent connections over the island. Hope to return soon.

  • "We have stayed in a lot of static caravans for our holidays and this was hands down the nicest one ever."

So comfortable and clean. The king size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding was so comfortable. Even though we didn't use the twin room they had full size single beds and very roomy. The owners Chris and Ruth extremely welcoming. Washing machine and dishwasher a bonus. Will definitely not stop anywhere else when going back to Isle of Wight.

Lovely position of the caravan overlooking the airfield, our children loved sitting on the balcony watching the planes taking off and landing.

About the location

BEMBRIDGE

Ryde 7 miles; Newport 11 miles; Cowes 16 miles; Yarmouth 20 miles.

Bembridge sits on the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight, and it is claimed to be the biggest village in England. Bembridge used to be an island in its own right, and until the Victorian era, was a collection of wooden huts and farmhouses, hence Bembridge remains somewhat detached from the rest of the island even today, which adds to its charm. Bembridge is considered to be one of the most upmarket areas on the island and offers a surprisingly busy intertidal sheltered harbour, which is always full of pleasure crafts and fishing boats providing a constant flow of traffic to and from The Solent. From the harbour you will find quiet beaches consisting of sand and pebbles, perfect for swimming, beachcombing and crabbing and in high winds you will see plenty of kite surfing activity. As you walk along Bembridge beach, you will discover the lifeboat station, cafes and the famous Crab & Lobster Inn, as well as the magnificent Culver Cliffs as your backdrop. The village centre offers a good range of small shops, with its award-winning butcher's and 'The Best Dressed Crab in Town' which is situated in Bembridge harbour, you can also sample local produce from the greengrocer's, visit the art gallery and much more; in fact everything you should need while holidaying here.
