Move through to the attractive, fully fitted kitchen, where you will find everything you need for a comfortable, self-catered stay. The property offers convenient sleeping arrangements including a double room on the ground floor, and a twin and a king-size bedroom on the first floor.The King is complete with a sleek ensuite walk-in shower. A family bathroom on the ground floor serves the rest of the party, making every day routines simple to manage. When the sun is shining, open the back door and wander into the enclosed courtyard garden, where children and the dogs can potter in safety while the grown-ups enjoy drinks and meals in the fresh air.
When it is time to explore, the village of Bridge places you close to traditional pubs, an exquisite dining experience and local events at the renowned hotel and restaurant, The Pig, and beautiful countryside walks perfect for discovering this captivating corner of the country. A short drive or bus ride away, Canterbury offers historic streets and the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral, along with a plethora of places to eat and drink. For a change of scene, head to any of the coastal towns of Whitstable, Margate and Deal for a hip and arty experience or to simply enjoy the bracing sea air and some traditional seaside fun. The location of this place is perfect and has a few pubs, shops, and cafe in walking distance.
The facilities were lacking. There was no mirror in the downstairs bathroom or downstairs bedroom. There was nothing in the kitchen. I dont think ive ever stayed anywhere that doesn't at least provide tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and oil. Also it was so hot and not one single fan was provided which seems insane with the temperature English summers have been for the past few years. I had to sleep on the floor as it was so hot and the cheap plastic mattress protector only made it hotter. I asked for a fan and she just said she didnt provide it so the customer satisfaction to this person was low as she obviously didn't care. The showers temperature was also weird would switch to hot and cold whenever it wanted. It was clean and a good location. Has a massive garden but unfortunately its over grown doesn't have a lot of nice seating and is kinda a shame its been left, when it could be made into an amazing space and would add so much more to the property. It worked for what we needed but I wouldn't stay there again.
We had a nice stay at Felix Cottage and would be happy to return.
It was basically a base for a Kent trip visiting relatives, though very hot weather had us spending more time at the cottage than anticipated. The cottage was as described, and we particularly enjoyed the shaded garden, Communications with the owner were excellent. The location is ideal for exploring the eastern part of Kent, and visiting nearby places like Canterbury and Dover.
Was a lovely place to stay - only very small feedback would be it needs more mirrors in the bathrooms/bedrooms.
Other than that was lovely! We couldn’t open a window and the phone was picked up immediately and someone offered to come over straight away!
