  • "Battel Hall is a stunning historic property that has been beautifully renovated and furnished, and equipped with pretty well everything you could possibly need."

It is very comfortable and warm and cosy (despite being such a big old property) and there’s always lots of hot water. The Leeds Castle staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, and we were very pleasantly surprised to find that all the beds were changed mid week and fresh towels supplied twice during our one week stay. Wrist bands for access to Leeds Castle are supplied, and it’s only a short walk across the fields to reach the castle grounds. Our party of 10 had a fabulous time and all agreed that this was one of the best places we’ve stayed.

Dear Anne, We are so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Battel Hall. We hope to welcome you back to enjoy the Leeds Castle Estate again in the future. Kindest regards The Leeds Castle Accommodation Team Property Owner

Resting within the grounds of the grand Leeds Castle Estate is this opulent and lavish 14th century manor house fully refurbished and offering large groups an idyllic setting, whatever the occasion.

Period features adorn the galleried entrance hall, an original stone carved basin offering a striking welcome, with a cloakroom sat adjacent to the hall.

Within the charming morning room, you can find hues of yellow and creams upon the hand-painted De Gournay wallpaper, complimented by the elegant yellow armchairs and cream sofas, you can relax before the open fire as the winter sun floods in from the windows.

Over in the drawing room there is sumptuous velvet seating, the walls adorned with portraiture and the floors with handsome rugs, reminding you of a gentleman's club room, perfect for unwinding following a busy day exploring.

Step over classic black and white tiled flooring into the kitchen and utility room, where granite work surfaces rest above quality appliances and provide plenty of space to get creative, or for a special occasion arrange the private chef for a dinner party.

Host your guests within the elegant dining room where oak panelling originally from the Castle lines the walls, and a huge fireplace lies opposite the bespoke oak dining table where dinner can be served around the table for six, amongst other vintage furnishings adding further character.

Each bedroom within this marvellous property is truly something to behold, with each room enjoying an en-suite bathroom ranging from state of the art walk-in shower rooms, to grandiose roll-top baths with rainfall shower over.

With each room decorated with their own unique colour scheme and style, you can expect hues of majestic golds, dreamy pinks, royal blues, rich reds and graceful greens to adorn the décor, along with lavish antique furniture, offering luxury tranquil sleeping quarters for the whole party.

Relax within the beautiful enclosed garden lined by evergreen hedges and made lovelier with the many flowers growing in the beds, creating a pleasant atmosphere to relax in, while the large patio is perfect for hosting an occasion.
