Jasmine Cottage

Second time we have stayed at Jasmine Cottage, found it again to be very clean and comfortable, only slight niggle there needs to be a coffee table available to use in the lounge.

Nice bungalow in a quiet street only a 5 minute walk from the seafront.

Everything you could need for a weeks holiday was provided by the owners together with an abundance of TVs! (Nice touch). Had a great relaxing week and would certainly go here again. Shirley & David (Harrogate).

We had a lovely week at Jasmine Cottage.

It was extremely clean and very comfortable. Excellent location plus near to public transport if needed. The owners provided milk and biscuits and sent a welcome message, which was very much appreciated. The only improvement would be to have a coffee table or nest of tables in the lounge. We would highly recommend the cottage and will probably be returning in the future.

Jasmine Cottage is exactly as it looks in the photos and tastefully furnished to a very high spec.

It is probably the cleanest accommodation I have ever stayed in, and the garden was totally secure for our dog. We may well return. Thank you.

What a lovely bungalow, spotless and very modern.

A big secure , sunny garden, with sun loungers, ideal for the dog . If your taking a dog/s, take what you need ..... (we always do).

The bungalow was as good the photographs online.

Spotless, comfortable and well stocked. Perfect if you wish to bring a dog as gardens are secure. Patios provide outside seating to relax in. The bungalow is a 20 minute walk to the promenade where there are lots of cafes and restaurants to dine in. Well situated for local buses which we used to visit Canterbury and Whitstable. Buses also run to Margate and beyond. The railway station is only a few minutes away. Lovely local park on the way to the seafront. Will definitely be returning for a further break in the future.

Generally comfortable stay.

Electric car charging point welcome. Good base for local Kent attractions. A few things would've improved the stay. Microwave in a low cupboard was unusable for those like us with restricted mobility. Shower flow could be upgraded as it was very low pressure, and the extractor fan was not that effective in reducing condensation. Appreciate the need for signs as reminders to not have dogs on furniture, but it felt unwelcoming. Instructions for the heating would've been helpful.

On arrival the host had milk & biscuits for us , after a long journey from Exeter it saved us having to shop for milk , the only thing missing was a small nest of tables , their is no where to put a drink , I think this is a small oversight as there is a lovely rug in the lounge it would be a shame to get any drinks spilled on it , the gas boiler in the front bedroom fires up all throughout the night which is annoying with no instructions of how to turn it off , the bungalow is superb all as the pictures show , thanks to the host , sea front within a 20 minute walk , restaurants to suite all tastes ,whitstable is well worth a visit with all the coastal walks and sea food pubs & restaurants

Jasmine cottage is a lovely place to stay with all the facilities you could possibly require and so comfortable and extremely well maintained.

It is situated within easy walking distance from anywhere you might want to go to in Herne Bay as well as other parts of Kent by either bus or car there is a bus stop just across the road !!... The Owner is very obliging and will act immediately should anything need attending to - so fantastic and a great holiday !!

TV’s in bedrooms was great. Nice enclosed garden for furry friends. Not to far from seafront & town. Kitchen is well equipped. Also off road parking a bonus.

Jasmine Cottage is a well appointed cottage, decorated and furnished to a high standard.

The garden is secure if you have a dog with you and the on site electric car charger allowed us to be fully charged each day. The cottage is well positioned for the beach and the main shopping street, pubs and restaurants. The owner "Chris" was friendly and very helpful when we contacted him and advised us of local places to eat "The Curious Cat". We accidentally left a watch in the cottage which was found and posted to our home address and the owner refused to be reimbursed. We would definitely book again when returning to the area.

Jasmine cottage is an ideally located to explore the Herne Bay coast The comfort of the bungalow was good and we had no reason to mention anything negative A few previous review niggles had been addressed and we would highly recommend this bungalow especially with a dog.

The dishwasher was a bonus and the very easy rubbish bins were hassle free. We thought how quiet the area was and slept really well and great to hear the seagulls Thankyou for a very relaxing stay. The milk and biscuits were a lovely greeting.

We had a lovely stay, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, easy parking at the front of the property and good takeaways that delivered.

Would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

Property was lovely Everything you needed, home from home.

The only negatives was strong smell of dog and the toilet seat was dirty. Tried to clean it, but I couldn’t needs to be changed. And l suggest you get somebody in to deep clean settee and rugs hopefully this will get rid of the strong smell of dogs . Would definitely rent this property again

Great location for the Kent coast.

Nice property, and we had everything we needed. Secure for our dog. Bonus to have a dishwasher, as this wasn’t listed on the booking site.I feel that the details for the property need to be updated. Lovely week.

Lovely Christmas Week spent at Jasmine Cottage.

Very comfy furniture and beds and was lovely and clean and considering it’s surrounded by houses, very quiet. Great tv in lounge plus one in each bedroom and kitchen. I only have one real bugbear and that is the underside of the toilet is very stained and couldn’t remove so I would recommend a replacement as everything else was lovely and clean. Also a new battery for the hoover as lasted about 6 mins on low so it ran out before you could finish and there wasn’t a broom or ashpan to sweep so when we left I couldn’t Hoover everywhere. Didn’t see a dishwasher on the listing but great there was one so just bought some tablets from local Co op. This could be added to listing Was a nice restful break and easily accessible to beach and memorial park.

The bungalow was furnished nicely and decorated for Xmas which was nice.

Location great for station and a slightly longer walk to the beach. Garden lovely for dogs. The house was a bit overlooked by neighbours at the back but there were privacy blinds to use. We only found a couple of niggles which we did leave a note for the owner, they didn’t really detract from the quality of the place. The oven could do with a deep clean. Some oven gloves and kitchen tongs would be useful. Also a few more mugs. The bathroom was nice and new, however the shower wasn’t particularly powerful and the shower head drooped so not easy to get under it! The toilet doesn’t flush first time, probably a small job for a plumber? The cushions in the sofa really need a wash, as they had a strong dog smell. My dog was quite distracted by the smell.

Jasmine Cottage was spotless clean all with a new modern interior and everything needed.

We really enjoyed our stay and the garden is completely secure for dogs which helped us relax knowing our dogs were safe, maybe a little overlooked by the house behind the garden but that didn’t bother us and neighbours were very friendly. A garden umbrella would be good as you only have to shade from the house as we were lucky to have a beautiful sunny week when we stayed in June. Lots of walks nearby inland and along the coast, beach is walkable about 15 mins away from Cottage. Highly recommend and hope to return again.

The property was just as described.

Easy to find, great parking and on a quiet road. The garden was fully secured for our dog and quiet neighbours. Great location to walk to Whitstable, walk around Herne Bay and literally a 5 min walk to the train station. Also great location to reach Canterbury, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Nice and clean with comfortable furniture, nice and warm and homely.

The cottage was just perfect in every way.

Everything was clean and tidy, in fact the owners had thought of all the things that holiday makers would need. Best stay I think we have ever had!

Lovely bungalow in which to base a holiday in Kent, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with cutlery, crockery etc.

nice living room in which to rest after a busy day and a great outdoor space for our dog. Possibly only criticism would be more towels please not enough for three people it was a good job we took our own. Also a visitors book would be nice too so guests can leave comments such as good places to eat and visit.

Lovely bungalow, comfortable and clean.

Everything we needed and in a great location for walking to beach, seafront attractions and shops. Trains and buses services very close. Ideal if you don’t want to rely on a car to get about.

The description of the property was as we found it. Very quiet location of the property. About 15mins walk to Herne Bay beach and pier. Herne Bay was very clean and lovely gardens along the promenade.

An immaculate cottage, fitted to a very high standard.

Everything seemed to have been thought of which made it home from home. Good parking, convenient for local shops and just a ten minute walk from the sea front. All together made for a very enjoyable stay.

Well equipped, immaculately clean, quiet location

This was our first time staying at Jasmine Cottage and we were not disappointed.

The cottage is located in a quiet area of Herne bay within a 5 minute walk from the railway station, and a 15 walk from the sea front. The accommodation is very well furnished, catering for everyone's needs. The bedrooms were sizable and beds comfortable. The living/dining room has has plenty of space to eat and a large sofa. The kitchen has a small table which is nice for breakfast time and every utensil that would need. The garden was well kept. Weather permitting, would be great for breakfast and evenings. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage and will definitely be returning in the future.

This cottage has everything you need on holiday and it is how all holiday cottages should be.

Well presented and maintained cottage.

We were impressed with the number of sockets and hooks provided. The location was great being near the station and a bus route and within walking distance of the beach. We didn’t need to take the car out at all

Jasmine cottage was absolutely perfect for a getaway.

It was well equipped and comfortable and one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. It was decorated to a high standard and had everything you could possibly need. It was perfectly located for us to either explore Kent by car or just walk down to join the coastal path to walk the dog. Would happily recommend and come back to stay again.

Hi yes I would like to let you know we had a really nice relaxing two weeks the bungalow had everything you could wish for including a nice garden for our dog and local shops 10 minutes walk away.

We had a great week and the cottage was lovely, everything we could wish for.

3 tvs came in handy when we had different viewing ideas! The dishwasher was a nice surprise as we didn’t know it had one. The property is so convenient for trips by bus, especially into Canterbury.bus stop so close a few yards over the next road! The garden is very dog friendly , my Yorkiepoo Rosie had a great holiday too!

Why did the owner lie to me?

There was no cleaning team. It was your partner who failed to clean the bungalow. The same partner that arrived at 10.10am, shooshing us out the place, despite me spending 2 hours cleaning on my arrival. As you know I took all photos and sent them to you. You said I could rent it again next xmas as it suited my needs after you led me to believe it was down to a cleaning company. Even then you failed to respond to me. It's extremely rude. Anyone thinking of booking this property, please be aware that in the winter it's very draughty, which we realised as the weather got colder earlier this week. Not having any curtains adds to this and the fact that the duvets were light summer ones, meant that you had ti sleep with heating on every night. Which became very uncomfortable. The beds are firm so if you like a medium mattress, book elsewhere. The points I have mentioned above are a great shame, as the bungalow is a lovely size. Every utensil you could think of (accept a tin opener) and high spec kitchen. Not so comfy sofa but okay Lots of storage space. Fab Size garden Beware of the fact theirs no slip mats in the shower and it also tends to overflow, so need to constantly stop and let the water drain away. It's very irritating when you have someone try to insult your intelligence. I only know that the people that are currently renting the property have a cleaner space to live in, because I cleaned it!

Jasmine Cottage is comfortable and equipped to a high standard.

Herne Bay is a good centre for visiting Canterbury, Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Whitstable, Faversham and further afield. The station is only five minutes walk from the Cottage, so most of these places can be reached easily by train. The enclosed garden is good for dog owners.

We will definitely be back , the only thing wrong was no tin opener or tongs in the kitchen .A perfect place to explore Kent
