  • "Very well appointed ground floor apartment with delightful patio screened from the parking area where we enjoyed our breakfasts."

We felt the website photos didn’t do the accommodation justice. Georgie was discrete and friendly and readily answered any questions we had. You do have to be careful getting onto the A21 because of its proximity to a bend on a busy road but apart from that the cottage is extremely well placed to visit the many historic and interesting properties within easy reach.

Thank you for your kind comments. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

Very convenient for visiting all the National Trust properties and gardens in the area. The Black Horse pub in Pembury had superb food and friendly staff.

  • "Lovely cottage very comfortable bedrooms with on suits."

good location for day trips, the kitchen is ideal for quick meals which for us was ideal.

  • "Generally a nice quiet clean property with very pleasant helpful owners."

A bit small and the kitchen is limited in size but for most people eating out etc it is perfectly adequate. The downside is the get out from the lane onto the A21 which can be a bit dangerous but generally OK and would use again.

  • "This cottage was all that was promised in the documentation but to a high standard and very comfortable."

Sufficiently off the main road so that it was very quiet ( the dawn chorus was truly beautiful) but a good spot for west Kent and east Sussex. A very relaxing place with some good walking etc. Thank you. John

Royal Tunbridge Wells has been a popular place to visit for over 400 years, ever since a natural spring, known as The Chalybeate Spring, was unearthed by chance by a young nobleman. Due to the discovery of these health-giving waters, Royal Tunbridge Wells quickly became a magnet to those looking to improve their well-being whilst enjoying the beautiful surrounding countryside. The Wells are still open from Easter to September, where a costumed ‘dipper’ will serve you a glass for a small charge. With a wealth of interesting history to discover, this spa town now offers a vibrant, bustling destination with shops, restaurants, bars, bistros and theatres surrounded by woodland and greenery. You only have to spend a day walking the cobbled streets, browsing the boutiques and mulling over the items to be found in any of the curio or antiques shops, tucked away in the side streets, to see why this ancient town is one of the most visited in Kent. Enjoy a coffee and slice of cake in one of the plentiful pavement cafes as you relax, before taking in a play or concert at the one of the three theatres. This lively town offers everything from shops to cycle paths, pubs to parks, museums and historic houses, theatres, restaurants and walking routes into the country, so whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend or a longer holiday exploring the historic towns and villages of Kent, then you’ve found the perfect spot.
