  • "Little Yaffle turned out to be a lovely surprise after having to change our original accomodation at the last minute due to a problem."

Situated in a peaceful village the bungalow is set in a lovely garden with off road parking. Inside is comfortable and roomy for two people. Although the kitchen was adequate we did have to move things around to put our ambient food away, so another cupboard would be useful. Great location to explore Kent, we especially liked Deal and Sandwich. Lots of great walks especially over the Dover cliffs. We had a great Sunday lunch at the Smugglers in St Margaret's. We would definitely recommend this location if you are looking for a holiday rich in history and interesting places to visit.

Well resourced kitchen, roomy shower, comfortable lounge/diner overlooking the garden. Ultra dog friendly, walks in the country on the doorstep. Charming and helpful hosts made this stay excellent for us. Welcomed with cake on arrival, many thanks We would certainly book again when visiting this part of the country

The owners were very welcoming to our dog and even left a treat out for her! There were also thoughtful touches like dog towels left in case we needed them. They also left us a lovely cake, eggs, milk and a tea/coffee selection that was much appreciated. Perfectly located for us visiting Samphire Hoe. We would like to stay here again.

The owner was friendly and helpful. There was a nice welcome pack of tea, coffee, chocolate cake, and later in the week some fresh eggs from the hens, and a large bundle of rhubarb to take home. We would definitely recommend this holiday cottage, and hope to return in the future.

Their discreet absence allowed us to feel comfortable and at home, yet were available when help was needed. A delicious cake on arrival to settle us in, followed by eggs from their own free-range chickens to contribute towards our self-catering needs. Even our washed clothing was gladly taken from us for drying, and handed back very quickly. Overall, the cottage was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed. A great location for a restful holiday, for those who love walking or driving around the Kent Country-side and enjoying the Kent coast. Hopefully, we will be ret.urning

Our hosts, Abi & Susannah (as well as the two four legged chums) went over and above what we had expected. The facilities and location were exceptional with the best ever shower ! Lovely garden to sit in, fabulous cycling and walking options and a great location to travel further afield (even though we went no further than our favourite town Sandwich). All in all and absolutely perfect place to spend a week and we will definitely return.

A cake awaited us, as did a bottle of bubbles to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary! The cottage is very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The garden is particularly lovely and peaceful. Little Yaffle is an annex to the hosts' bungalow but that the set up is such that you feel disconnected from the main property, as the hosts enter through a different door and have a main garden to the rear whilst Little Yaffle has the front garden. It's really well located, with a lovely dog walk nearby, fantastic local pub, and really easy to get to Walmer, Deal and Dover. We also recommend the local ice cream dairy - Solleys!

  • "Fantastic annex in perfect location for visiting Kent."

Annex was very well equipped - absolutely everything we needed and more. Owners were so helpful - even went out and bought a shower mat for my elderly mother. And told me good dog walking & running routes. And there was cake for us on our arrival - and even bought me a vegan cake when they found out I was vegan. They also gave my mother fresh eggs from their chickens and tomatoes from their garden. Beautiful garden and perfect peace and quiet. Thank you.

Their cottage is in a quiet secluded spot yet only a few miles from The White Cliffs, Dover Castle, Walmer and Deal castles and The Richborough Roman site to name but a few. Little Yaffle is a well equipped annexe to the owners home although the hosts very much leave holiday makers alone. Having said that the welcome was great and nothing was too much trouble during my stay. The nearest shops are only 2 miles away in St Margarets at Cliff and probably the best review I can give is to say that I will definitely return to Little Yaffle when next staying in the area. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here!
