  • "Amazing to spend Christmas here."

The property was thoughtfully decorated and came with a tree . Beds are comfortable with good quality bedding . Kitchen is well equipped and the downstairs space flows well for Families. Upstairs seating area a great solace space . Parking is a bonus and was a bit tight with our long car but we managed and better than searching for a space . We are trying to find another date to come back !

  • "We saw this property while staying at a holiday property just around the corner last year ,It was priced £1600 were were were staying in a £3100 property which was dreadful ."

We walked round the corner and liked what we saw ,read up on it and booked it immediately for this year .Wow what a fabulous uprise when we actually went there last week .It is the most lovely house .There is nothing but praise for the owners .They have furnished it perfectly ,Tv,s that actually work in every room ,a fab seating area upstairs we’re the husband would go and read the paper in peace .I wanted to take this home back to my place ,I sat in the lounge and just thought ,I need to revamp my home now .We booked within a couple of days to stay next year .Sorry for going on but it’s the nicest place we have stayed in in near 40yrs going to Keswick at our affordable price . Major problem for car owners has been parking/permits ,we’re could get 3cars on the path comfortably without blocking the side path .

  • "This was a fantastic place for us to stay."

Very close to the beautiful park for our Grandparents to wander around and excellent access to walks close by for the rest of the family. The accommodation was very clean and very well equipped with all that was needed for our week long stay. Only downside to the property was the access to the driveway and the limited space to be able to get in and out based on the cars parking on the road and over the marked lines. The actual space for parking is more than ample for three cars, when you can navigate your way onto the drive. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Thank you for your kind comments, we are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and time with family. We take all comments on board. We hope to welcome you again. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "Great property, had a fantastic stay."

Very comfortable house with plenty of space for us all (6 adults). Everything we needed in the kitchen which was great as we did lots of cooking. Comfy bedrooms with lots of space for all our stuff. Great to have a utility room for all our outdoor gear. High quality furnishings and appliances. Very clean too. Great location in central Keswick for exploring the hills and lakes - lots of lovely restaurants and bars in Keswick. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would stay again.

  • "This is our second visit to the property, the first being in 2018."

I was pleased to see additional seating in the living room allowing plenty of options for our family to sit on. The kitchen is a real delight, quality appliances and a good range of cookware and crockery. We appreciated having dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll and foil as these are things some properties do not provide. As a family group of 6, we appreciated having the space to spread out in the property and a dining room to enjoy our meals together. The jigsaw puzzles and games provided fun on the occasional wet days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bowderstone and would have no hesitation in recommending the property to others. Thank you to the owners for providing a very comfortable, well appointed house.

Thank you for your kind feedback, we are so glad that you enjoyed the property and all that it has to offer. Property Owner

  • "Lovely bungalow which was well presented and fully equipped."

Plenty of space - which was needed with it being a party of 8. Parking for 3 cars an added bonus in Keswick. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Slight negative is that there wasn’t a welcome hamper - only a small carton of milk, however it did not detract from our stay.

Very well equipped and comfortable. So much room, ourselves, children and their partners could spread out. The garden was also lovely, and outdoor space to sit in was a real bonus. As was the drive to park 3 cars on. I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere with so many televisions! Would definitely book again for a family holiday.

  • "Fabulous property in the heart of Keswick, can’t fault it."

Some party members said they found the beds uncomfortable, my husband and I thought they were great - you can’t please everyone with that kind of thing, it is what it is. Parking a massive plus, if only you could stop people parking so close on the main road - again, nothing you can do about it! Really well equipped and immaculate, we were so pleased with absolutely everything. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to feedback after your recent stay at Bowderstone. We are thrilled to hear you had a great stay. We haven't had any comments regarding the beds but we are glad for the feedback. • "Beautiful property in excellent location close to town centre and park/ green space amenities."

Home from home, everything you need is there, good decor and furnishings, extremely comfortable living. Bonus is the ability to park at the property, the only downside being that as there are so many cars parking on the street in front, access and sometimes exit can require a lot of manoeuvring especially if inconsiderate drivers encroach onto the white line outside the property which indicates that the space should be left clear for access. Overall though it’s a superb property and one we shall look to rebook in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to feeback after your most recent stay at Bowderstone. We are pleased to hear you had a lovely week and thank you for your kind comments. We agree it is a great bonus to have 3 x private parking spaces within the grounds of Bowderstone. Unfortunately we have no control on the road outside which is Greta Street. In the summer 6 weeks holiday this can get busy as it is all unrestricted parking on the streets surrounding Blencathra Street. Sometimes people are less considerate with the white line in place trying to prevent this. Hopefully the council will extend this white line in the future. Thank you again for your lovely comments and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner
