"This is our second year coming to this property we chose it for its comfort location and size."
It’s well equipped and super comfortable. On both occasions its been presented well and is spotlessly clean in a lovely quiet street with easy parking and great views up over the hills. We will definitely book again next year.

"A fabulous house, located within easy walking distance of Keswick, even the on street parking proved no problem at all."
The house was clean with excellent facilities, everything we could possibly have wanted for the perfect stay

"We’ve stayed in several Keswick holiday properties, so we have a good frame of reference for comparison."
This was a lovely property, everything to a very high standard and clean. Comfy beds and excellent bathrooms. Good dining room and nice big kitchen. Nice cosy living room with a log burner which we hardly used due to the amazing weather this week, what a nice problem to have. The house was perfect for our group who stayed this week.
If I had to suggest improvements, and I’m being very picky here, a few more pans and baking/oven trays would be good as cooking for 6 was a little tricky with what was provided. Possibly a bigger fridge as well although I know this is built in so not possible to change. Perhaps a second fridge in the utility?
With that said, that’s me being very very picky indeed. We loved our stay and we will absolutely be back in the future. Thank you.

What a lovely house, was surprised by how big it was inside, had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean, the decor was very nice, the living room was very cosy, the beds were so comfortable, 5 minute walk into Keswick, no allocated parking for the property but was always plenty of space outside on the road, the only strange criticism was the towels smelt of smoke, which was really strange as the house was clearly smoke free, enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked it again for this year, would highly recommend staying here

"On arrival very disappointed as when we booked we were promised the house would ..."
On arrival very disappointed as when we booked we were promised the house would be decorated for Christmas as we had booked the Christmas week after calling lakelovers to find out why no decorations we then had to go and buy our own and decorate the house ourselves not what you want after a 5 hour journey lakelovers did reimburse us for the cost of decorations
The manger of the property Tracey did come to house and try and fix our problems which was appreciated
When we inspected rooms the back bedroom had water running down wall and black mould on wall and ceiling when we questioned this we were told sorry we thought the leak was fixed this room remained damp and cold the whole week our son (‘who’s 6ft tall)had to sleep in small little cabin bed in another room for the week not great
Also tap in kitchen constantly running this was attempted to be fixed whilst we were there but plumber could not fix
Apart from these issues the beds were comfortable the showers were out of this world and all other things in this house were of a very good standard
Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay at Brandelhow House. We are sorry that you arrived for the Christmas week to find no decorations. There had been a change in information prior to your stay which unfortunately did not get passed onto yourselves before you came away. This was an internal error and we apologised at the time and agreed to recompensate you for. We are glad to hear that you managed to source some decorations to make the place feel festive and homely. Regarding the running water down the wall in the back bedroom. Sadly, there is a damp issue which we are aware of and trying to resolve. The chimney outside needs some remedial work but due to the poor weather lately we haven’t had chance to get this fixed. We have plans in January to get this resolved pending dry/non icy weather. This sadly gets worse when windows are shut, and heat is locked in. We have added a dehumidifier to help improve this. Regarding the tap, a plumber did attend and managed to reduce the leak however a new tap was needed completely, and this is being carried out next week whilst the owner is at the property. We hope you otherwise had a lovely Christmas week in Keswick. Property Owner

"The house was excellent."
Plenty room and had everything we needed (except clothes pegs and a teapot, but that’s really searching for any shortfalls). Easy walk into town. Room to store bikes in a lockable shed. Comfortable beds. Tastefully furnished and equipped. Parking on street was never a problem.

"Have stayed here for the second year running."
Very nice, spacious property. The only thing which could improve this is if it had a downstairs W.C

"The holiday cottage was much bigger than we expected, with loads of space and comfortable furniture, the only downside was the parking but we expected this staying so close to Keswick Town Centre."
But aside from the parking the location was perfect and we could do everything straight from the door so once we parked up on the Friday we didn’t really need the car anyway.

"Dripping tap in kitchen occurred during stay and our only other comment was that dogs were not allowed upstairs which was extremely difficult to
Maintain with dogs that are used to going upstairs."
In this particular property there was no stair gate and the stairs were extremely wide. Apart from that the house and location were excellent and we would certainly like to stay again

"This was the second time we had stayed in the property as we liked it so much the first time."
I felt that it was not as clean as it had been previously as I found dirty tissues under the bed and the carpets had debris on them. I still like the property but feel that the price increase of 60% for the same week next year, means that we will not be staying there again, which is a pity.

"Brandelhow House was a perfect base for walking in the Lakes."
The house had been recently renovated to a very high standard and was short of nothing. Lakelovers were great to deal with and were really flexible and accommodating around rearranging dates etc which happened several times due to Covid 19. I could not recommend them more highly.
