  • "This is our second visit to Bristowe to celebrate my 50th Birthday and the house is perfect for a family together, very well equipped and very spacious for all different ages to have some space."

Location is perfect with a 5 min walk through the park into Keswick town and with the Pheasant Inn located 2 mins away. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay and we will be back for a 3rd time ! 5 stars

  • "We stayed here for a special family celebration."

13 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs. The house and grounds are stunning with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, as well as communal areas where everyone can come together. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The views of Catbells and surrounding fells are superb. Plenty of good walks nearby. Keswick has lots of lovely shops and places to eat out, plus the pencil museum, Hope Park and the Theatre by the Lake. We enjoyed an excellent private dining experience in the grand dining room, provided by The Keswick Kitchen. When the chef was stranded because of localised flooding Jackie and her team went above and beyond to get him and the food to us - thanks to Lucie who saved the day by rescuing him in her Landrover! Everything was perfect and they even washed up. *Imported from Google Reviews

  • "Celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary weekend at this beautiful house with the wow factor in the most stunning location."

The size of the property meant our large group (16 adults & 2 children) had the space they wanted. The dining room is magnificent for special occasions, with 2 kitchens and an orangery for breakfast or BBQs. The decor in the main bedrooms is delightful. They are spacious and comfortable. All our guests loved it. I would like to thank Lucie for being so helpful. Also a huge thank you to Nick Foster Catering. He catered for our BBQ on Friday evening & our big private dinner at the house on Saturday. The food was very good (everybody enjoyed it) and the service was excellent. We highly recommend this mansion. *Imported from Google Reviews.

  • "What a wonderful place this is."

We needed a large house for a family celebration and happened upon Bristowe Hill. We had a great week in this luxurious very spacious house. We loved 2 dishwashers, 2 lounges, lots of bathrooms with loads of hot water, very comfortable beds and lots of parking. We were able to bring our dogs as long as they slept in the kitchen and didn't go on the furniture which was fine by us. Lucie our host was absolutely brilliant, responsive and helpful and very patient with my myriad of questions. Would recommend to all, we will be back

  • "I hired Bristowe Hill as a pre wedding venue for my daughter’s wedding earlier in July."

The house is amazing and even though I had seen photos on the website I still went wow when I went through the front door. Each room has been fantastically designed with comfort and luxury in mind. The kitchen is very well equipped, although if I had a small quibble it would be that the sharp knives were not very sharp. The location of the house is excellent, only a short walk into Keswick and Derwent Water. I must mention Lucie who from start to finish was so accommodating and answered any queries promptly. If I was looking at staying in Keswick with a large group again I would certainly rebook.

  • "We had a great stay at Bristowe Hill manor in Keswick."

The property manager Lucie was very easy to reach and quick to respond. The location was beautiful as well as the manor itself! There were separate sitting rooms so people can have their space. The kids loved playing in the grass outside. Lots of seating areas. All of the rooms had character. Easy walk in to Keswick town - we used the pretty riverside walk to get there. A good base to visit around the Northern Lake District. We also used a caterer - Nick Foster - to give us a catered big private dinner at the house. His food was delicious and there were 20 of us all together. No complaints at all and everyone enjoyed their food. If we ever have a large gathering again in the future, we would love to repeat our experience at Bristowe Hill! *Imported from Google Reviews

  • "A truly outstanding house."

We spent Christmas week here with family. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a Christmas theme. The kitchen facilities were excellent as we did all our own catering for the week for over 20 people. All the bedrooms were exceptional. The children enjoyed the outside amenities and there was ample parking for all the cars. *Imported from Google Reviews

  • "The house is beautiful and very well situated, close to the amenities in Keswick but detached enough for it not to s=feel like a town house."

It is very well appointed and the interior decor is stunning. The kitchens are large and well appointed though we did find the ovens slightly difficult to get started with. Some basic instructions for these may help. For a large party this is a superb house and fully deserves the awards it has received and we had a really good weekend there. Could it be improved? A slightly better music system would help (I think we found an Alexa but better speakers in each of the communal rooms would be a nice feature. Instead we did use the piano and that was an unexpected bonus. Overall a really lovely property. For the price, a slightly earlier check in would have been nice (5 pm is a bit late. We are Lakelovers owners too and our check in is earlier).
