Lovely appartment spotless clean close to center ideal location already booked to return

We had a lovely stay at Fox’s Den.

once again this is the third time we’ve been here and will definitely be coming again. The car parking space is a bonus and Fox’s den is situated just in the right place. I would thoroughly recommend it.

The property is in an excellent central location for all facilities in Keswick, very clean and everything that you need for a short break.

The parking space is a real bonus even though it is slightly difficult to manouver into, this was not helped by large bins being placed next to the space for a couple of days. Would be better if check-out was a bit later, 9.00am is too early especially as check-in is not until 4.00pm. Could do with some recycling facilities for your rubbish at this property, very suprised that this is not offered in this day and age.

The property had everything you could need was very clean and had fantastic features such as the bed with the tv in the bottom the wardrobe space was very good with plenty of hangers.

It was decorated with lovely things which made it seem home from home. I would definitely recommend and will stay again it's perfect so close to all amenities. The weather was fantastic so we definitely saw keswick at its best.

Property difficulty to find initially, aware that it was a first floor apartment but surroundings at entrance not pleasant with bird droppings.

Also extractor pipe from next door restaurant giving off unpleasant odour at certain times of the day. Very noisy on the first night. Once inside pleasantly surprised. Clean and well equipped. Parking spot in a busy Keswick was ideal although quite tight to get into. Please ensure you use the shower mat which we found in the cupboard as my husband slipped and fell in the shower. 9am check out is too early especially as you have to strip the beds as well

Excellent service from Sykes Cottage.

The apartment was fabulous all as described and very clean and tidy when we arrived at 4pm. Excellent location - allocated car park space which was a must. We were a family of 4 , ample space for belongings etc. First time staying in Keswick and will definitely be returning and re booking with Sykes. Highly recommend.

Cozy, warm, comfortable and well equipped apartment in the centre of Keswick.

Allocated parking a real bonus too. 1 minute walk to Keswick Square but very quiet. Lots of excellent pubs and eateries right on the doorstep. We rarely return anywhere twice but this may be the exception.

Beautiful property in a very convenient location for all amenities in Keswick.

Parking easily accessible but tight to turn around. Shops, pubs and restaurants all close by and only short walk to lake. There was some street noise but nothing that bothered us. Would gladly return.

Lovely property ideally situated in the centre of Keswick, perfect for exploring the town or local area.

Property is well equipped and a minor niggle with Wi Fi was cured promptly by the owner. Very happy with our experience there and will definitely check if the property is available on our next visit to the area.

Excellent apartment in the centre of Keswick.

A bit noisy at the front in the mornings as would be expected. A shelf in the bathroom and a washing machine would be improvements, but it is a great place to stay. There is a parking space right next to the property which is invaluable; I easily parked our Landrover Discovery …so let’s have no more comments about it only being suitable for small cars!

Lovely flat in an amazing central location in the Lakes, and with parking.

Flat had everything we needed and was really comfortable. The owners had responded to previous feedback about the bathroom, so it was beautiful and clean when we stayed. We chose it together with our friends who stayed in Keswick Loft in the same courtyard so that we could spend time together but have our own space. We really appreciated being allowed a late checkout as noone was staying straight afterwards, though it did mean that we ended up going shopping in Keswick in the morning again!

This is the second stay for us at Fox's Den.

It's got a lovely and cosy feel to the place. Great location and added bonus of a parking space - it is a little tight for bigger cars but just takes a bit of manoeuvring. Bed is really comfy which is just what you need after a day walking. We love it here and already looking for when we can come back our next stay!!

Cottage was lovely and overall very clean but the bathroom had a fair amount of black mould and a general lack of attention to detail when it comes to cleaning.

There were areas around the shower that had accumulations of dirt in places that would be easy enough to clean

Bigger towels would be a bonus as well as a 10am check out so that your last night of holiday is not over-shadowed by the thought of a very early start.

Leaky tap in kitchen (was reported). Apart from that, the flat was perfectly clean, well stocked with everything we needed and in a great location. We would definitely book this flat again.

Unfortunately there was a very noisy upstairs neighbour who got up very early and went to bed very late - one night we were woken at 4am. Is there a soundproofing problem? We haven't experienced this in the past . We were disappointed to have to leave the property at 9am , when our booking details stated 10am.One hour makes a big difference, especially if you have been disturbed during the night. Not at all sure I would return here.

Brilliant locationin in the centre of Keswick with all the services within a short walk.

plus your private parking space at the rear of your accomodation etc. I would highly recomend the Fox's Den as a central base for anyone who enjoy the Norther Lake's etc. are just to chill out around thr town.

The location of Fox's Den and car parking are excellent, but living areas in the cottage are basic compared with other cottages we have stayed in.

The master bedroom does have a large king sized bed however which is a media bed ( TV, DVD and radio ).

Lovely flat, great location in the town centre.

The parking space is a real bonus. Loved the TV at the bottom of the bed. Had an issue with the shower which was promptly fixed. Some early morning noise from the road outside with deliveries, which didn't really bother us but may affect some people. Definitely stop here again.

It is worth noting the ceilings are very thin and the noise above is loud.

We could hear everything. The shower is also very weak. For the price we paid we would expect a lot better.

The flat is excellent if a little grubby.

It's very dark inside so some things can't be seen until the lights are on (hair on sink, crumbs under sofa, food on hob, dust on wardrobe doors and mirrors). The cafes across the street are the only major downside. Drinkers making a lot of noise until well after 11.30pm followed by early risers heading for breakfast mean very little sleep. It's to be expected in a town but it's not for us so I don't think we'll return unfortunately because the accommodation really is superb.

We enjoyed our stay.

The accommodation was central to all Keswick amenities. We enjoyed visiting many areas of the lakes for the first few days. However, we had to leave early Thursday morning as we were notified that Mr Gibbs had to attend a hospital appointment on Thursday evening in Middlesbrough

Have stayed here several times .

Ideal for a couple . Situated in the centre of Keswick. Clean , comfortable & well-equipped (apart from lack of a washing machine )

The location was perfect.

We were able to go walking from the apartment without having to drive. Keswick is a walkers dream for shops. I will be back.

Lovely accommodation, very comfortable and clean and in a great location.

Property itself was perfect for my needs.

Position in town great could walk everywhere. It was great to have own parking space but this outside area was very grubby. I understand there’s no choice re bins etc. but felt rear of property and the surrounding ones could do with a decorate. The communal selfclosing door didn’t close and lock properly, so it meant anyone could access the building if that door hadn’t been shut properly. Wouldn’t put me off, some noise from property above but overall a great stay.

We have for many years always stayed hotel or b&b, so a comparison to others is difficult.

But we were very pleased with this accommodation and could not fault it. It was ideal for our needs and will definitely look at a holiday cottage in the future.

Fab location.

Furnishings all felt new. Great TV bed - kids loved it. Lovely and cosy.

Enjoyed stay in Keswick immensely.

The flat is as described, modern, clean & perfect for a short break. Parking space a little tricky to get car into but very useful in busy town. Some noise late at night & early morning from traffic, etc but to be expected with such a central location.

Fox's Den is a well equipped apartment, which was lovely and warm.

Added bonus was a private parking space. The Apartment is in a central location so we parked up and left the car all week, doing lots of amazing local walks. Only downsize was that the wifi didnt work, but we contacted the office and we was given the code for the apartment above.

Didn't realise the flat was above a shop opposite a bar .

.only drawback it was very very noisy !

We loved being so near to the centre of the town. The accommodation was extremely clean and had everything we needed with a parking space which was a big bonus for us. I would certainly recommend it.

It’s the first time that I have been contacted by phone to let me know that the property was ready to move into and Sykes were attentive throughout.

We have just returned from a week at Fox's Den, Keswick.

The apartment is in central Keswick and so is ideal for all the many amenities the town has to offer. The apartment is very clean and well furnished. It has everything you need for a good stay. Appliances and heating are easy to use with clear instructions. Parking space is a bonus. The main entrance is not as beautiful as the apartment itself, but it is secure. There are also clear instructions what to do at the end of the break relating to Covid. It is clear that cleanliness is a high priority at this location. If you are considering booking a stay in Keswick, and plan on using the local pubs and restaurants, I would highly recommend you reconsider booking this town currently. Keswick used to have fantastic pubs, but now the pubs are restaurants that happen to serve beer, because of the Covid regulations. Many use a pre-booking system that have a two to three night delay. Some are on first come first served, but the queues are long. Most are just booked up all night. If you just require a few drinks, horror upon horror - just second class citizens. You are not allowed to drink inside but shown to a back yard or overfull beer garden. Not very pleasant with the rain we had during our stay. We tried twice but just stayed in at night. The town is too full currently and is not ready for the visitor numbers it had pre-Covid. We will book Keswick again, but not until Covid virus is beaten and things get back to normal. When we do book we will certainly try to book Fox's Den first.

Excellent accommodation - warm, clean and comfortable.

All required things present and nothing missing. Well decorated and beds v comfortable. Town either wasn’t noisy or we couldn’t hear any noise. Couldn’t adjust shower room radiator so room hot - slight waste of energy? Entrance passage and gate doesn’t do property justice - looks a bit unwelcoming but there’s little one can do about that I guess!

The ladies in the office were so friendly and key pick up and drop off went smoothly. Would love to stay here again!

The fox's Den is a lovely flat in a great position, a real home from home.

We hope to return one day as we had a fabulous break.

Great apartment - good amount of space to accommodate teenagers and so nice and close into town.

First of all I would like to say that we found our stay in the cottage very clean and comfortable.

It was ideal in so far as to its superb location very close to all shops and restaurants and all local attractions including ,the pencil museum , Puzzle and illusion museum and the proximity to the fabulous derwent water where we hired a rowing boat and a 6 mph power boat which were great fun. my husband fished off the piers catching perch and roach. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed your stay in the lake district loving the mountains rivers and lakes.

Well decorated modern 2 large bedrooms and adequate resources to stay there comfortably

It was not a problem for us, but we think that as the flat is overlooking a road it is subject to traffic noise and this might be mentioned in the flat description.

Thought the pressure sensor bedside lights in the main bedroom were great fun.

The entrance area and the car park space were littered with rubbish and cigaret butts.

Staff from nearby pubs and shops were using these areas for smoking.Passageway was dark and unpleasant.

The cleanliness and comfort of this apartment was among the best we have ever experienced, thank you!

It was stylish and yet very child friendly for our toddler. The noise from the street and apartment upstairs would be the only concern we had, but with such an amazing central location we understand street noise is very difficult to avoid. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Fox’s den was such a lovely little family stay!

The apartment was so clean an modern and had everything you needed and more!

Could do with a blind in kitchen, otherwise a delightful flat with high standard furniture and fittings.

Warm and cosy with gorgeous shower. Shame there had been a washer there before, but no longer, so will consider booking their flat above which does. Was pleasantly surprised only muffled sounds from street below in evening. A little awkward approaching main entrance but once inside no problems.

I love this flat, it is so convenient as our parent's own and rent out the flat above this one, so you can rent both flats out with family and have privacy and the convenience of being right next door.

We have rented this flat twice now and have already reserved a third time. It is clean, well stocked and has nearly everything one would need... if I had to think of one thing, it would be nice to have a washing machine, given the weather in the Lake District and the need to wash children's clothes. But overall it is a wonderful flat, with a great view of activity in the town. Many thanks!

Fantastic location, beautiful little apartment

Lovely apartment in centre of town.

Met all expectations, will book again in the future.

The apartment was neat clean and modern to a high level.

Downside ,The shower screen hits the sink when you open it,it could smash,needs a sliding door. No toilet roll holder. Otherwise everything else perfect. Score 9/10

Had a wonderful short break here, in the most comfortable of surroundings, would definitely recommend to others.

I think the price was too steep charging £366 for two nights for two people, especially as it was very noisy in the apartment with people above, double glazing did not stop the noise from the street and from the fan on the wall near the rear bedroom attached to the restaurant, also there were no games in the apartment and no mirror in the rear bedroom.

The alley way was dirty and not pleasant to walk up in the evenings. people from the restaurant smoked and chatted outside below the rear bedroom window which was also unpleasant for a non smoker. If the price would have been lower then I would have given it higher marks but for that kind of money I expected it to be quiet. The key provider was excellent and should be praised for them allowing us to go in early and to be very attentive.

The flat was very clean, well presented and luxurious. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and had a lovely stay.
