    “The apartment is ideally situated, well equipped, clean & tidy.”

    On departure we reported concerns with the plumbing as the toilet was very noisy, the bath taps tight and the shower rail a bit wobbly! We only got one set of keys (although when I asked on checking out, there was another set) which was a safety issue due to locks/access to the building. Not the prettiest entrance to a property (I wouldn't like to have been on my own on dark nights) and as long as you don't want a lie in (refuse trucks empty bins daily) it was a great apartment right in the ...

The property

This contemporary apartment is situated in the centre of Keswick close to the bustling market square, cinema and within walking distance of the shores of Derwentwater.  Siskin is reached via a shared entrance and is a second floor apartment.

Inside you will find a tastefully decorated, comfortable lounge diner with stove effect electric fire, well equipped kitchen. Master bedroom with king size bed, twin bedroom and family bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC.  The thriving market town of Keswick is host to a vast array of shops, pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions.  For those who are more energetic the foot of Skiddaw and Latrigg are within walking distance, there's nothing more satisfying then enjoying a challenging hike then admiring the beauty of the Lakes from up above on a mountain peak.  Perfectly situated for relaxation or adventure Siskin is a beautiful place for a break with family of friends at any time of the year.

Bassenthwaite 7 miles, Ullswater 20 minutes. Cockermouth 13 miles.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
