Fantastic location, very quiet eventhough in the centre of town.

Cottage was super comfortable and clean. Had everything we to needed and felt like a home from home. Parking being provided was an amazing bonus too.

Highly recommend. Well equipped, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Free parking permit was superb, I left the car in the car park for the full week. Which in Keswick is invaluable. There are many beautiful walks from the door & public transport was excellent. Would love to return at some point.

Another lovely stay in this accommodation which is right in the centre of Keswick but is quiet and escapes the business of the town centre.

The free car parking is a bonus with the car park being a few minutes walking away. The cottage is comfy and well equipped and communication with the host is excellent. Can highly recommend.

This was our 3rd stay at Stone Ledges, keep coming back as it is such a lovely cottage in a perfect location.

We love the location right in the centre of Keswick, accessed from a very quiet private path. Great to be able to park the car and leave it for the week, as everything can easily be reached on foot, or by bus if travelling further afield. The cottage is compact, so in colder months it is extremely cosy as it heats up very quickly and stays warm. Great drying area for wet boots and clothing so that it’s dry and ready for the next day. All necessary facilities for self catering.

We had an excellent stay at Stone Ledges.

This cottage is ideally located right by the Moot Hall yet is quiet. Very well equipped and comfortable. A pass for the car park was very helpful. Highly recommended

Lovely Cottage , ideal location , in centre of Keswick.

Great for the New Years celebrations, Even though we were so close to square, we heard very little noise . Great location for walks straight from the door , leaving car parked up the whole holiday.

This cottage is a beautiful place, with a fantastic location.

It’s very close to the center of Keswick, making it convenient to visit shops, the weekly market, and explore the charming town. The proximity to the lake and walking trails is a huge plus, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation. Additionally, there's a large car park nearby, so parking is never a problem. Overall, a lovely spot that combines comfort, convenience, and stunning surroundings.

Cosy , extremely clean and fantastic location One suggestion though. Could a small disability hand rail be put above bath in shower? I struggled getting into shower but a rail or something be great. Apart from that Fantastic.

Good value comfortable cottage.

Generally well equipped. Good heating. Surprisingly little disturbance considering the house could not be closer to the busy main street. Keswick is a great base for walking - especially in borrowdale. There's a good bus service and we really could have done without the car.

Small, but we felt quite significant improvements, would be a smart TV in the living room, and a firmer mattress in the main bedroom. (we both had sore backs when we left) Also, I couldn't understand why there wasn't a toilet roll holder on the wall next to the loo, as it would be very cheap and simple to fix one to the wood panelling? Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who didn't mind a soft mattress and wasn't planning to stream anything on TV.

Another fantastic stay at this wonderful cottage.

Its central location is a real bonus and it is really peaceful at night even though it is just off the main square, The property is furnished to a high standard and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you could need. Lots to do from your front door so that you can leave the car behind. All in all its a pleasure to stay here.

We are a family of three with a small child (5 years old), and so the cottage was perfect for us. I don’t think you could find a more perfect location on Keswick, as it is in the middle of the town and acted as a great base for our holiday. Furniture is fairly basic, but comfortable. We are both tall and had no issues with the height of the ceilings. The upstairs floors are a little wonky but that is due to the age of the cottage and adds to the charm! The cottage was clean on arrival. I would suggest that some basic provisions such as tea, coffee etc are made available to guests on arrival, perhaps in a little welcome basket? That would have been wonderful after we’d spent such a long time travelling and didn’t have time to go to the shops in the evening, but it wasn’t a big issue, just a “nice to have”. The bathroom is lovely and big, with plenty of towels provided. The kitchen is compact but has everything you need to prepare and cool meals. Car-parking is very close and it was a big weight off our mind to know the permit was done before we even arrived - that’s a big perk which is great! Owe really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Keswick.

Nice central location, surprisingly quiet in spite of being within a few yards of 3 busy pubs.

The owner was particularly helpful when there was a wifi outage which affected the town, not just the property.

Our first time staying in Keswick and Stone Ledges was a perfect choice.

Situated off the high street but in a quiet lane the cottage was warm, spotless and extremely comfortable with all the facilities you would need for a self-catering holiday. There are many walks straight from the door and we were spoilt for choice on how to fill our week. We did a nice railway track walk from Keswick to Threlkeld and another walk in Dobbs Wood and a favourite leisurely walk along the lake shore to Friars Crag. And we also had a chance to see a production at the Theatre by the Lake which was real treat. Keswick has a lovely market town feel with plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops to visit just minutes from the cottage. A bonus with this property is the permit parking which enabled us to leave the car safely in the car park all week which we did. We would love to return at some point in the future.

This is my second time staying at Stone Ledges.

It is a lovely old cottage which has a really cozy feel to it. Heating and hot water system work great. It’s very well equipped and very clean. The open plan layout works really well. Upstairs the beds are comfy and the showers is decent. The cottage is tucked down a really quiet side street very close to the Main Street in Keswick so it’s very convenient for all the amenities in town yet tucked away nicely. Car parking in the main Keswick car park is conveniently close. Owners of the property are very helpful and efficient. Highly recommend

Stone Ledges was the perfect location for our stay.

It is so central to the high street whilst being super quiet! The communication with the owners re: parking was great and was superb to not have to worry about parking. I can’t recommend enough!!

We had a great time, location was amazing, it was great to be in the middle of everything and comfortable space to hide from the rain when the weather turned :).

You cannot access directly from central carpark as this side of poplar Street is gated. From central carpark head to the keswick main highstreet and the entrance is down the alleyway next to the old keswickian chip shop.

A perfect holiday cottage.

Stone Ledges couldn’t be more central, and the cottage is warm, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Although it’s only a few yards from the Square, the cottage is really quiet at night. We’ll be back next year we hope!

Lovely little cottage in a very central location.

Literally seconds from the High St but very quiet. Clean and tidy, and a very comfortable stay. It’s worth noting Poplar St is not accessible by car so from the nearest car park you have to walk up an adjacent street, along the high st and back down Poplar St. Would have been handy to know before booking as we had a fair amount of luggage. However the cottage is lovely inside and we enjoyed our stay. The car parking permit worked perfectly too.
