• "We have been coming to Bandol every year for the past six years, and this was yet another lovely stay."

  Great location - amazing views and wonderful walks straight from the door, pub a stone’s throw away plus village shop, cafe and other pub down the road. Bandol is always very clean and is a very spacious holiday home, with plenty of fridge and freezer space and utility/boot room. Would highly recommend.

• "Bandol is a fabulous property."

  It was clean and really well appointed. All the bedrooms are a good size and storage plentiful. The views are incredible and wildlife all around. It was really quiet and peaceful yet only a short walk to the pub and shop in Braithwaite and 5 minute drive into Keswick. The owner and housekeeper were friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to return.

  Well maintained bungalow with stunning views of Skiddaw across the valley just up the hill from two pubs and a lovely village shop. Perfect for a visit to the Lake District.

• "A fabulous spacious well equipt property with fantastic fell views, the added bonus of rabbits, pheasants and sheep with their lambs in the surrounding fields."

  The house was comfortable, tastefully furnished, well equipped and very clean. There are beautiful views from every window. We were three generations from 22 to 89 and the house worked perfectly for us all. We would love to return and will highly recommend.

• "This holiday house has everything you need for a perfect relaxed holiday whether you want to watch birds from the panoramic window ,walk ,cook or play games and read ."

  There is space so you never feel cramped . The location is also perfect with many walks from the door and a very well stocked village shop very close nearby .

• "Fantastic views from all points of the house."

  Very large sitting room with panoramic view of the mountains. Very well equipped kitchen with attention to details such as hooks for hanging coats and towels in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Excellent for walking the mountains straight from the door. We enjoyed the most comfortable stay ever. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed at all.

  Positioned just above the lovely village of Braithwaite the views are stunning from every room and the location provided a peaceful stay. The owner clearly cares passionately about providing the perfect home from home with everything you need and more. Bandol was comfortable, clean and cosy. • "Bandol is the best cottage we have stayed in."

  It is very comfortable and is extremely well equipped. The accommodation is very spacious allowing 8 guests to have there own space. The owner has thought of every detail to ensure the holiday is a delight from bird feeders to blackout blinds and comfortable settes and chairs . Bandol is in a great location .The views towards Skiddaw are superb and it is in the ideal location for walking in a variety of directions from the door .

• "We were very pleased with the accommodation and it was an excellent location with good facilities and beautiful views."

  The only negative comment we could make was that the master bedroom had not been hoovered as there was quite a lot of long loose hair on the carpet. Also, it would be a good idea to be supplied with two keys for large parties who may be splitting off and doing their own things for the day. Other than, we would certainly use the property again if possible for another large family stay.

• "Years since we last visited Lakes, so delighted with our choice of holiday home."

  Comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. View of Skiddaw across valley from living room is spectacular! Peaceful and relaxing spot. Excellent base for seeing this northern part of Lakes - lovely walks at Derwentwater, Buttermere and Rydal. Pencil Museum in Keswick is genuinely fascinating. Huge thanks to owner - our first trip since September was wonderful and we'll definitely be returning.
