What a lovely cottage!

Beautiful location with fabulous views from front and back. Nice and comfortable and very well appointed. Threlkeld is lovely with Keswick within an hour's walk. Two pubs in the village is great. We've already booked for next year.

Lovely property, one of the best we’ve stayed in, and perfectly placed for walks, and The Horse & Farrier pub - in our opinion, one of the best in Keswick!

Appreciate the issues with heating during our stay (can’t be helped), but the house was beautifully warm, and it was very thoughtful to provide such a lovely welcome pack. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there - thank you

A wonderful stay at the Beech Croft.

The house is decorated beautifully, so clean, kitted out with all the essentials with some lovely personal touches from the owner. It’s in a brilliant location with stunning view. Would highly recommend this property and will be rebooking myself.

Lovely property in a fabulous location for walking and views.

Very comfortable, we had a very restful break

If you like to watch normal tv, or dvd, or listen to music/ radio you can't due to roku tv which needed the owners to set up twice,and does not have this facility.

Great location and definitely a house for Dog Owners.

Basic but adequate facilities, we did have to wash saucepans and frying pans before use. The heating boiler was in bits and not fully working so the house was freezing on arrival and no hot water. This was resolved the next day, but not a great way to start. Simple things missed, such as wood and kindling supplied but no matches or lighter. No games for rainy days.

What a fantastic stay in this very clean & comfortable house.

Very well equipped kitchen & thoughtful extras like eggs & biscuits etc. there was even a dog bed & head torch & high visibility vest for walking the dog in the evening. Lots of walks from the doorstep & a great coffee shop & pub within the village. Would book this property again for sure & hopefully not in the too distant future!

The accommodation was well equipped and very clean throughout, and the views front and back were fantastic.

We did however have issues with the heating not working properly, and although the owner was responsive this unfortunately didn’t improve, which was not ideal with a young child.

We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect location just a short drive from Keswick and the bus stop is right outside. Also so close to the railway walk into Keswick. The owner has thought of everything from a dog bed to children’s cutlery. Such a comfortable setting and would highly recommend. The only suggestion we would have is to have a stair gate for young children. Other than that we couldn’t find a single fault. Would definitely love to come again.

Great location.

Amazing views from the front & back of the cottage and great dog walks from the door. Highly recommend the village cafe and the walk along the railway to Keswick. Very comfortable cottage and we enjoyed the sun trap on the patio. We loved our stay and really appreciated the little extras like head torch & reflective jacket for walking the dog at night.

Beechcroft is a beautifully presented property throughout.

It is clean and comfortable with lovely views nestled in a lovely little village. Would highly recommend this place for your visit to Keswick and the Lakes.

All the comforts of home and then some! Well equipped for both humans and dogs.

Lovely clean & comfortable property in a wonderful location.

Beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches for both us & the dogs. Loved waking up to watch the cows, sheep, rabbits & foxes from the bedroom window.

Great house excellent location, the views!

What a lovely house, perfectly situated to climb Blencathra.

The views to the front and back amazing. The house is very comfortable, spacious and well appointed. So good to look forward to returning to Beechcroft after long walks. My son who is a big runner just loved being able to run early up the mountain wth his dog and back before bfast... Beds super comfy and lovely hot shower and deep bath! The owners were friendly and prompt to answer any questions. Eggs from owners chickens delicious and wine, milk and biccies appreciated. Thanks Julia and Chris we will definitely be back and will recommend your lovely house to friends and family.

Beechwood is a lovely property with amazing views.

The garden is great for dogs and the welcome pack was very helpful (inc dog treats). Overall it was great value for money

What a lovely week we had in this excellent cottage.

The view of Blencathra from the breakfast table was stunning. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It had a secure garden, which was a blessing for our dogs. The location was fantastic. Lots of walks from the doorstep, including a beautiful walk into Keswick; 2 good pubs in the village and easy access to Keswick

Beech Croft is a beautiful cottage with stylish interiors and very cosy vibes.

We could not have found a better place to stay. The sight of the mountain was a beautiful view to wake up to and we loved seeing the neighbour’s chickens running up the field every morning, full of joy! The cottage provided everything that we needed including things for our dog. Highly recommend a stay in this lovely place.

Loved our stay of just over 3 weeks, everything is well thought out and done to a high std lovely and peaceful.

Great location for local walks, the railway line walk to Keswick is a must. Hopefully get a chance to return in the future, thanks for having us!

The house had everything we needed, and in a lovely village. Would happily stay here again.

Absolutely lovely property! Nicely decorated throughout and very cosy and comfy of an evening. Also very well set up for dogs, with a great utility room! We will be back when we stay close to Keswick again! Would 100% recommend to anyone. Lovely food at the Horse and Farrier up the road, would advise booking at least the day before for an evening meal, as they do get very busy! Thank you for another great stay!

Great property in a fantastic location.

Very spacious, sociable kitchen/diner, handy utility room, very clean and tidy. Beds super comfortable. On a personal note as we have 1 nervous dog, we would have preferred a gate to enclose the back patio area so we knew he was safe. The garden is enclosed when the gates are closed.

The cottage is comfortable and in a great location, with amazing views front and back. The owners left us some fresh eggs from their chickens which was a nice touch. This is our 4th visit to the village and our first stay at Beech Croft, we will be back.

Beech Croft is a beautifully presented, spotlessly clean cottage.

Lots of extra touches provided, including fresh eggs from the owners chickens, to enjoy. The views both back and front from the picture windows, are amazing. We spent ages just watching the light change on the fells. As well as watching the wild rabbits play in the next door wild garden. The Horse and Farrier just down the road is a lovely authentic coaching inn, serving great food. We had a fabulous week despite significant rainfall - nothing dampened our enjoyment of staying in this wonderful cottage.

Beech croft is a brilliant cottage and in an excellent location Threlkeld is perfect for Blencathra, and you can access all areas of the Lakes very quickly.

Would definitely recommend and would stay again for sure.

We have had a lovely weekend - the house is in an excellent position to explore the Lakes.

It was very comfortable and clean and there were lots of extra things added for dogs which made our stay very easy. The welcome pack including freshly laid eggs was a lovely touch - bright yellow yolks and they were delicious! It is a real find and we hope to return soon.

Lovely place to stay.

Owners are friendly and helpful. There’s two pubs in the village one does take away. Nicely enclosed grounds once the main gates are closed. Comfortable beds. Lots to do around the area for both walkers and site seekers

Lovely cottage in a lovely little village.

Great that the garden is secure so we could let our dog out and know he's closed off from the road. Great views from all windows (we would have preferred a blind up in the bathroom window). Lovely to sit outside in the sunshine and plenty of parking. Would definitely return to this cottage.

A lovely property in a beautiful setting.

A good base for walking if you don’t want to use the car. The garden was secure for our beagle. We were warm and comfortable given the disappointing weather.

The cottage was very well kept and presented and in a great location. Threlbeck is a nice little village with a couple of pubs and lots of walks on your doorstep. It is just a 5 min drive to Keswick. Highly recommended!

Amazing location for exploring Ullswater, Keswick, Ambleside & Windermere, fantastic views, a lovely cosy cottage with good facilities would definitely come again thank you.

Beech Croft is a lovely house which is very well located.

The house has everything you need for a lovely week on the lakes. Keswick, Blencathra, Aira Force, Ambleside and Windermere are within easy reach and the bus to Keswick/Penrith stops outside the house.

We've returned for New Year's break.

(It's our second time staying at Beech Croft.) The cottage is really cosy and we loved the Christmas decoration put up by the owners. The house is very clean and well maintained. We just loved the property and location and will definitly come back again.

For us and our first Christmas away from home, the cottage was perfect.

The cottage was warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated with everything we needed - cooking Christmas dinner was a breeze! Very comfortable beds too. The views, both front and back were stunning, regardless of the weather, helped along with the open fire which we loved. The owners were friendly, helpful and kindly left us some thoughtful welcome gifts, which were appreciated. We would certainly consider returning at any point in the year, we had a brilliant stay!

Lovely property, nice setting friendly and helpful owners.

Downside on arrival there was no hot water. After a day's walking I was looking forward to a nice bath, no chance as water was cold, no hot water ag all. Plus did not work out how to get the shower working. So got quite chilly and turned up the heating and wet to bed earlier to get warm. Suggest guidance ( just a sentence) is included in the welcome pack to advise there is a switch outside the bathroom which people need to put on before the shower will work. This is a practice none of is had come across before.

First time staying in a cottage.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. No issues with the cottage. It was clean, warm and easy to keep it so, even with 2 dogs. Threlkeld has no street lights if out in the dark beware. There is two rustic village pubs and a cafe, Lots of great walks along with the old railway line path

A lovely place to stay , we had everything we needed .

Such beautiful views and decor was beautiful , loved the giant canvas prints in the bedrooms . The beds were the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had in a holiday home .

The cottage is nice and clean.

The view at the back looking towards Blencathra is amazing. The location is good. We enjoyed our morning walk/ jog to the railway path. It’s also very dog friendly. This is our first family trip with our 10 month old cockapoo. She’s really enjoy as well.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Beech Croft.

The cottage is delightful and in a great location in the village of Threlkeld with many great walks possible from the cottage itself. The cottage was well presented and had all the amenities our family required and expected for a week in The Lake District. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We had need to contact the owners during the week and they were very helpful and responded in a timely manor. I would not hesitate to recommend Beech Croft as a place to stay.
