• "My husband,self + Labrador spent a smashing week at Jasmine Cottage."

  It was very comfortable & dog friendly, lovely spacious garden, great views. Well equipped & bed so comfy. Had great walks at Whinlatter & other scenic locations. Cottage few mins by car to Keswick has everything u need. Had minor prob with remote control. Management Agency contacted owner & Garry, owner, ordered a new remote & went out of his way to help us so we got our new remote quickly. Such kind owners who left us some lovely treats to welcome us. First class genuine customer service. Thank u Garry & wife, Management Co, and Sykes.

• "We enjoyed our stay at Jasmine Cottage."

  It has been tastefully refurbished and provided everything we needed. Overall we found it cosy, clean and comfortable. The only down side was the temperature in the ensuite bathroom. There were some very cold nights while we visited and the towel radiator did not heat the room, so felt like an ice box at times! This was the same for the other room with a toilet for use by the occupants of the twin bedroom. Apart from this the cottage is in a beautiful spot and very convenient for visiting the surrounding area.

  Thank you for your kind feedback it’s lovely to hear that you like what we have done to refurbish the cottage. I was sorry to hear about the Ensuite and have since checked on the towel radiator. Unfortunately the towel radiator was full of air which has now been fixed. We’re very sorry this affected your holiday but really appreciate you bringing it to our attention. • "I would live here."

  I think that best sums up my experience. Only reason for the marks down was that the floor was a bit sticky (might have been the cleaning products used) and an overwhelming smell of the cleaning products used also. The fridge also had a foul smell of fish which we did our best to mask. Otherwise a very nice place with great views, very cosy and good walks directly from the house without having to get in the car.

  The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was the perfect location for lovely walks round bassenthwaite and in the hills behind. We will definitely be back.

• "Lovely cottage, great location."

  Easy walk and biking from the door. We had great weather for March, amazing walks on Blencathra. The garage was fantastic for storing the bikes safely and the cottage was very comfortable. Our only gripe was there was only a 1-person cafetiere, which is poor for a 4-bed cottage. Made making coffee a right faff! And the parking is tight if you have a family car and wish to close the gate (to keep the dog in), but was do-able with care. We would happily stay here again!

  We’re pleased you enjoyed the cottage and had a lovely week. The biking is great from the cottage, especially on Whinlatter. We have ordered a new cafetière as we hadn’t realised there was only a single thank you for highlighting this. It is worth noting there is also additional parking at the front of the cottage that is available to use which was in the key collection/directions information and the welcome book giving you more space around the back. • "We love Jasmine Cottage, this was our 4th visit."

  The cottage is just perfect for our family break at this time of year, a great place to bring in the New Year. We love Whinlatter and being just on your doorstep makes for fabulous walks especially with having our new pup Alfie with us this year. 10 out of 10 from the McMahon family from Newburgh, Fife. • "The cottage was very nicely presented and close to keswick which was ldeal."

  Itcottage was very cosy and warm especially nice in October. The cottage inside was a little tired in places but over all very good would stay again. Tea shop and gallery was also nice right on the doorstep

  ***Update - Jasmine Cottage has now been newly decorated inside and out with new wooden floors across the whole property as of Dec 2025.*** Thank you for your kind feedback. We agree that the cottage is needing a refresh though and are now actually closed for 5 weeks to renew all the flooring and redecorate throughout. • "Well appointed cosy comfortable cottage."

  The only gripe I have concerns parking. The access to the drive is very awkward, a metal catch in the wall on one side and a solid 5ft sharp edge stone on the other, only suitable for small cars, this should be made clear on the description. Over the years we have been renting holiday cottages we notice that most rental periods now start on Friday, this is the worst day for travelling and only contributes to road chaos, do you promote any Saturday starting properties ?

• "A really lovely cottage, very comfortable, homely and well appointed, with good quality fixtures and fittings."

  In a peaceful and picturesque location. Great kitchen with all the necessary utensils. Very comfortable beds, lovely smelling bed linen and towels. Good off road parking - parked a Mini and RAV4 on the drive. Enjoyed our stay very much. The Coupes and Nightingales

• "Excellent cottage, very relaxing."

  Slight problem with the cooker but wasn't the owners fault and was dealt with very quickly.I would definitely recommend and we would definitely stay at Jasmine cottage again.
