  • "Lovely cottage in a really good location for accessing Bassenthwaite (about a 10 min walk)."

Lovely garden area with a beautiful view. There's also an enclosed "dog paddock" which was really handy. Comfy bed. Good water pressure in the shower. Would definitely stay again. The freezer compartment needs fixing - we were messaged about this beforehand which was helpful. The WiFi is shared with another cottage and the router is there so the WiFi signal was very patchy. Maybe a WiFi booster could help with this? Those were very minor issues in an otherwise lovely stay.

  • "Generally a very comfortable stay but we were disappointed when there was no water during one night and it did not come back on until 7."

30 am the next morning. We tried to contact Sykes but the telephone queue length time kept increasing the longer we waited on the phone. We wasted a lot of time trying to report this to Sykes, who were our only point of contact with the new owners.
