What guests are saying
It's hard to find accommodation close to a Lake District town centre which also has parking but this flat is the ideal holiday home for this.
It's on the 4th floor, in a quiet and private cul-de-sac just steps away from Bowness-on-Windermere's restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops including several "convenience stores" for your every-day needs. The balcony looks out over the outskirts of the town and the lake is just a short walk away. Whilst the kitchen is very small and the living and dining room aren't much bigger, it has two good-sized bedrooms and a modern bathroom with large shower enclosure. There's free WiFi and an Amazon Fire TV which is great if you have subscriptions to all the streaming channels. There are a few things to be aware of but shouldn't necessarily be considered 'negatives' (which will depend on what you're looking for). Being so close to the town means it can be a bit noisy until after 11pm, especially on a Friday and Saturday evening but you can't hear much if the windows are closed. There aren't any drawers so, apart from a couple of hanging rails, be prepared to live out of your suitcase. The hard floors might be easy to keep clean but they're cold! A couple of rugs in the bedrooms wouldn't go amiss. It's a bit of a squeeze to get around the door between the kitchen/living area. Although there's a welcome dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, bear in mind there's no washing machine. For some reason, it takes the hot water 2 minutes to get to the kitchen/bathroom taps from the tank which is only 14ft away, so I don't know where it's going en-route!! Thankfully, the shower is electric, so no waiting! There's a garage (great for bikes etc) and they claim there's space to park 2 cars - they'd have to be very small unless you put one in the garage, otherwise you block the access to 6 flats. None of this would stop me renting this flat again - the positives more than outweigh the minor negatives and I had a very pleasant 2-week stay.
