Don’t always leave reviews because life gets in the way but it was a must for this one.

10/10 had the most amazing relaxing week here, can’t fault a thing. The accommodation is spotless and everything you need and the location is unbelievable, our kids and dogs loved the beach on your door step. You don’t even have to leave the property but when you do there are beautiful places on your door step we went to the local pub the farmers and had a beautiful meal went to Windermere and rented a boat on the lake and popped into ulverston town and picked up some trinkets. What a beautiful place you have ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Driftwood has the wow factor!

What a view and so quiet and relaxing. Loved birdwatching and walking my dogs on the beach. Good location for exploring the Lakes. The local pub is in walking distance and the food is delicious. Also down the road Roy’s ice cream is the best.

Yet another fantastic stay at Driftwood for us and the dogs.

We decided to stay for two weeks this time, and it flew by. The location is perfect, with easy access to both the beach and the fields behind the cottage, which the dogs absolutely adored. Apart from the occasional grocery trip into Ulverston, we spent our days relaxing and making the most of this comfortable, well-equipped cottage. Everything you need for a peaceful and enjoyable break is here. Highly recommended, and we're already looking forward to returning.

We had a fantastic week at Driftwood Cottage and what was a bit of a pilgrimage for us to Baycliff beach.

Driftwood is spacious, warm, comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. Has everything you need. Great floor for dogs and great enclosed garden. Views are amazing, watching the tide coming in and out, all the sea birds and away from roads. Thanks for the welcome pack and for a memorable week.

Driftwood Cottage is an amazing place to stay.

Modern, clean warm accommodation within a fabulous setting on the beach overlooking Morcambe Bay. It makes for the most relaxing vacation. We will book and stay again and would highly recommend.

We've just had a lovely weekend away staying at Driftwood Cottage regardless of the rain trying its best to ruin it!

Accommodation is spotlessly clean ,all facilities are of a high standard and the views at sunrise are amazing..we've some lovely pictures! If your holidaying with a dog you really can't go wrong here.No criticisms to make; no recommendations to put forward..well done Amy you've a lovely holiday home for people to enjoy.

Driftwood cottage was a WOW.

.lovely location and you can never get bored of the views. We walk into a lovely warm cottage with a nice Hamper even treats for the dogs. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen had all equipment to cook with. We enjoyed the walks along the beach finding wood for the fire. The location is great for going to Windermere etc. This cottage is a little jem. Alot of effort been put into this cottage to make it a lovely place to chill and relax. Thank you

Just the best place to forget about the world in luxury!

Driftwood is understated and beautifully done, from the bed linen to the wood burner and walk in showers. The window seats are perfect for watching the tide and birds. We saw the milky way on our first night, setting the standard for a magical mini break.

Excellent rebuild to very modern standards.

EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION WITH AMY, we had no complaints or problems.Warm and cosy,Washing machine plus a tumble drier and hairdryer were not mentioned in the details .Cleanliness could not be faulted all appliances were best quality. Arrival pack was very well thought out. Very well positioned and relaxing even when raining we really enjoyed our stay. Brian T Solihull

What a gem of a place!

Peaceful location, excellent and high-spec accommodation with everything you could possibly need for a lovely relaxing break. Would recommend to all!

Lovely new and clean bungalow, very comfortable beds.

Great location, right on the beach. We had a lovely holiday here visit the lakes and would definitely return. The only thing it was missing was a couple of utensils in the kitchen ie a baking tray and a colander. But everything was to a high standard.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful accommodation situated right next to the beach.

It is excellently appointed and has everything for a quiet relaxing stay with views over Morecambe bay. As the area is a bird sanctuary it is wonderful to see all the different species of birds. We all had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Many thanks to Amy for a delightful break.

What a gem of a property!

We gasped as we saw the stunning view as we drove down the lane for the first time and the property continued to delight us. Wonderful views from the outdoor decking, ample parking, lovely bedrooms and decor and fantastic facilities. The welcome book really really helpful and we enjoyed the local pub, the Farmers Arms for a Sunday roast, that the owner had recommended. We loved it and would 100% come back.

Superb property, in a peaceful and serene location.

Our intention was to relax and get away from the daily hustle and bustle and Driftwood certainly made this come true. Well appointed, with good quality furnishings made the stay more enjoyable. Will be certainly recommending to friends, especially those with dogs, as the beach walks are literally on the doorstep.

Stayed at Driftwood a few times before and loved it, but the recent upgrade is fantastic.

The location is perfect for us, picturesque, calming and quiet. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard, extremely well equipped and really comfortable. The dogs loved it too.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend Driftwood Cottage, the location is ideal if you want some peace and quiet.

Few small points to note, the local pub that was recommended is actually permanently closed, there were only small drinking glasses so we had to go out and buy pint glasses, also salt was required for the dishwasher.

This cottage is beautiful: well designed and equipped.

The beds, showers and kitchen facility were all excellent and we loved staying here. The location is exceptional- beautiful sunrises and it was so great to be next to the sea. So close we could hear the waves and the birds. We also loved the area and had wonderful meals in pubs in the area. Most places are so dog friendly too.

Gorgeous property with super comfy beds.

And lots of fun family games for the kids to enjoy. Gorgeous views, beautiful scenic walks along the bay. Well equipped kitchen, with everything you could need. Hoping to return back as myself husband and our children did not want to leave.

Had an amazing stay here.

The location is stunning. One morning saw the most fantastic sunrise from the house. The cottage had everything you needed and was very comfortable and clean..My dog loved the beach for her walks. Amy, the owner, was incredibly helpful. Would definitely recommend. Just perfect.

Was overwhelmed with Driftwood cottage the inside was absolutely kept to the highest standard had everything and more that you could ask for the finishing furnishings was to a very high standard that was a delight to be in, the views were breathtaking and the area that it was in was stunning, definitely will be back in fact have booked later for next year and dont think that will be our last trip back to the stunning Driftwood Cottage

Always wanted a holiday with a sea view.

Driftwood Cottage exceeded all our expectations, the Cottage is stunning through and through and the views are amazing all day long. Situated close to lots of fabulous places to visit. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to stay here. Amy is brilliant, her attention to detail is second to none. We highly recommend this cottage, we don’t believe we could get the same wow factor for a very long time, if at all.

Perfect!

We loved our stay at Driftwood. The property is in a fabulous location. Very relaxing to watch the tide coming in and going out - so much so, that we were so content and comfortable to stay in and relax. Great access to the Lakes. Great access to the beach to let the dogs out for a run. Owner lovely to talk to, and felt that we could have contacted her, had we needed to. That said, we were short of nothing!

This is a stunning cottage located on the Cumbrian coast line.

Magnificent views dominate the outlook from the main area. This panorama is constantly changing with the weather and tide, making every time of the day a different experience. Modern and contemporary furnishings also create a very pleasant environment. The interior is extremely comfortable and there is plenty of seating areas to unwind and relax. We would have no hesitation in staying here again! It is perfection.

Driftwood Cottage is a joy to visit.

The location is beautiful and the cottage is perfect. We were warm and comfortable throughout our stay. The ev charging was very useful for us. Our dogs enjoyed the beach, less so the hosing down afterwards but the hose was perfect for the task. We have visited before but the new Driftwood is an outstanding place to stay for a holiday

The cottage is in a superb setting, right on the beach and with beautiful views over Morecombe Bay.

I was on holiday with my daughter and our 3 dogs and it was just relaxing sitting watching the changing tides, sunrises and sunsets. The dogs had a whale of a time on the beach which helped tire them out. Driftwood is extremely dog friendly and easy to keep clean and there's even a hosepipe outside to wash them if necessary. An important point for me is that the beds were very comfortable and ensured a restful stay. We didn't venture far but it is only about 30 mins to many places in the Lake District.

A hidden Gem!

! Driftwood cottage was a wonderful little relaxing haven! The host Amy ,has thought of everything to make this cottage so comfortable for her guests and right by the beach, the views are stunning! We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing time Driftwood Cottage was stunning and location was fantastic.

Certainly lived up to the description. Had everything we needed the only downside was the flies every time we opened the sliding doors we couldn’t get rid of them despite leaving no food out. At one point I counted 15 so I think the sliding doors would benefit from some kind of fly screen. We will be back.

The cottage has been totally renewed since our last stay.

It no longer has a rustic beach hut feel. It now is a more sophisticated modern feel. More space and more comfortable in terms of en-suite etc. The owners have done a lovely job and it was a very comfortable stay. The beds are very comfy. The kitchen is well equipped. We watched to only one evening and it was comfy. We put the wood burner on too and it felt cosy. The main attraction for me is the location and the isolation. It felt less isolated as there were caravans in the field that used to have lambs. Not sure if that’s permanent, but there were more people trucking past the cottage than there were previously. However it’s still not a beach that ever gets heaving with visitors. It’s lovely watching the tide come in and enjoying a glass of wine or a coffee from the cottage. We have already booked again. I just hope it’s still isolated when we return as there is evidence of other development - inevitable I suppose, but I hope it remains unspoilt and still quiet. If it does I’d love to keep returning. Owners are very friendly too and left a lovely welcome pack for us and the dogs - thank you Amy!

This was seriously the perfect location and the accommodation was everything you could wish for and more.

The host was excellent and communication was 100%. You have everything you need for a perfect escape and the views are just ...... wow

Truly amazing transformation of Driftwood Cottage, although was fabulous before renovations it is now more outstanding than ever.

Nothing has been overlooked or forgotten to ensure a 5 star luxurious stay. This beautiful cottage caters to all your needs in an idyllic, beautiful setting where you can relax and enjoy a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet is still within reach of leisure facilities. We were so pleased that you accommodated our dogs too, they just loved access to the beach walks.Driftwood Cottage is a really magical place to stay, a hidden gem. We hope to be back again soon.
