    “I have just returned from a fabulous four night break at Cow Byre Cottage.”

    The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and housed an abundance of amenities including a log burning fire. The addition of a roll top bath in the bedroom was fantastic and the bed was super comfy. On arrival, we were greeted with a welcome card, wine and homemade cookies. The views from the cottage were breathtaking. The cottage is in close proximity to Kirkby Stephen and other surrounding areas. I would without hesitation recommend Cow Byre to anyone visiting the Lake District ...

A beautiful stone-built, semi-detached cottage, attached to the owners' farmhouse in the quiet hamlet of Barras, just five miles from Kirkby Stephen and the Tan Hill Inn, England's highest pub.
