Dalegarth Hall Farm Cottage 2

Fantastic Cottage in a lovely location.

Cottage was spotless, very comfy and had everything provided that we needed including a much appreciated welcome gift of homemade cake, wine and chocolate. The owner introduced herself gave advice about the area and was easily contactable if we needed anything. A very quiet location with nice views. Two great pubs doing lovely food within 10 minutes walk. Location perfect for some great walks including several from the door. We will definitely be back again next year.

Beautiful property, felt like a home away from home.

Spotless, modern and stunning views. Tranquil with river on doorstep not to mention walks. So much work gone into the handbook of information of the area. Handy having 2 bathrooms. Absolutely loved it. Lovely to meet Lottie too the day after we arrived. Highly recommend. Tracy

Perfect, perfect, perfect.

The cottages have been beautifully renovated and are spotlessly clean, contemporary, and well proportioned. Lottie was kind and helpful, and left us with a delicious lemon drizzle cake amongst lots of other things. The cottages are well situated and served us perfectly with more family staying at the neighbouring Dalegarth Hall. We will definitely be recommending the property, and we will definitely be booking again. Thank you very much.

This is a delightful cottage in a wonderful peaceful and secluded location.

It extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and the showers are good . The lounge area is spacious with a good dining area and there is a useful utility room. The owner is available if needed. On arrival there were fresh flowers, tea and coffee, cake and milk which is a very nice personal touch. Despite its quiet location, the cottage is walking distance to The Boot Inn which serves excellent food. We had a most enjoyable week.

Little gem of a cottage in an idyllic location.

Everything you need provided by Lottie and Phillip along with a very thoughtful goodies welcome basket. Five star rating for sure.....lovely to see the Red Squirrels and various bird species too feeding on the bird feeders Lottie also provides

Dalegarth Farm Cottage 2 is quite the nicest holiday rental I’ve ever stayed in.

Our hosts were excellent, the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The accommodation was first rate, clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location. Well equipped so we could cook at home and close enough to the local pubs that we could walk to them if we didn’t want to!

5 stars all the way.

Wonderful cottage with every detail thought of. Host brilliant. Wonderful location. Walks from the door. Close to great pubs. We had the best of weekends. Thank you.

Just stayed at the property for 5 days, had an amazing time in the lake district, the house was just as advertised, was so nice coming back to a nice clean and warm home after a long day walking, plenty of walks to do locally, saw lots of wildlife in the garden, the welcome pack was absolutely an amazing gift to be welcomed with.

Would definitely recommend, Adam, Maxine, zoe and copper

Wonderful comfortable house at the end of a wooded private drive which is perfect for the first and last dog stroll.

Beautiful day walks in all directions from the house. Everything was provided and a really lovely welcome pack with lots of extras provided. Highly recommended.

Our 3rd stay at wonderful Dalegarth Hall Farm, as always a warm welcome and such a fabulous property!

Can't wait till we are back there.

Really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property with fantastic amenities. Owners very helpful. Would definitely stay again

We have returned from a wonderful 7 night stay in Eskdale.

The holiday accomodation was excellent. The cottage was just perfect. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Everything we needed was there. The location was superb and we saw an abundance of wildlife, thanks to Lottie who regularly filled up the feeders for both birds and red squirrels.

This is in a great location the house is like your very own home from home one of the best holidays we have had lots to explore close by and great food at the local pubs.

The house is fully equipped with everything you will ever need plus more and the layout is great for families cosy and clean.

Lovely property well equiped, comfy and warm.

Great location , good owners.

We loved our stay at Dalesgarth Cottages!

If walking, biking and wildlife are your things, you'll be hard pressed to find a better place. It's spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a fantastic position close to the River Esk. We saw red squirrels, a weasel and a badger in the garden, with dippers on the river and owls hooting in the tress – just magical. Lottie is a fantastic host. We hope to be back soon.

This by far is the best cottage we have stayed.

Everything you may need is there and the host Lottie was really friendly and accomodating. Quiet, beautiful surroundings and relaxing.

Beautifully equipped cottage in a lovely secluded location by the river esk, but only a short walk from pubs.

Eskdale is one of my favourite lake District locations and we'll definitely be coming back to dalegarth cottage. The weekend we stayed was very windy, but the house was still warm and cosy. The welcome pack was a nicely thought out touch and the hosts were friendly and approachable. Recommended.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in.

The attention to detail was second to none. Everything thought of and quality immaculate. No threadbear towels, no running out of toilet paper etc etc. Amazing welcome pack. Bird feeders stocked and refilled numerous times to attract red squirrels, woodpeckers, nuthatches and numerous little birds as well as deer coming to below the feeders. The owner came to welcome us in the property. And finally the weather was great with only one we day during our stay and several nearby great pubs with good food…

OUTSTANDING!

This is a lovely cottage…comfortable, well-equipped and very clean. It’s obvious that Lottie, the owner, cares a lot about doing things right..and she does. Our week was probably in the wettest and most rainy week this year for Cumbria but the house is toasty warm and very comfortable so we just did short dog walks locally during the worst of the weather and Lottie did check in with us that we were coping with the weather ok, Most importantly for bookings on or around 5th November…NO FIREWORKS to pester our nervous and reactive rescue dog. Comfy beds, comfy sofas, great facilities. Will we be back….you bet we will!

I booked Dalegarth for a week away with my partner and parents - it was absolutely perfect!

The cottage is cozy and clean, has great amenities to cook dinners but also is close by to fantastic local pubs for food and drinks. The location is serene and quiet, you can hear the nearby stream and there are many beautiful walks just on the doorstep. Lottie was a brilliant host and I'd highly recommend this for a stay in the Lakes!

Possibly the best cottage we have stayed at, lovely quiet location, dog friendly, modern but still cosy, very well equipped, walks from the end of the drive.

We shared with friends, so four adults and two golden retrievers, did not feel crowded.

Dalegarth Hall Farm Cottage 2 was even better than we’d imagined.

Very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean, with plenty of room for four adults and a baby. The owners were very welcoming and even left a lovely cake and welcome pack for our arrival, which was much appreciated after a long journey. The location and views are superb, offering short or long, easy or challenging walks and two excellent pubs within easy walking distance if you don’t want to cook (take a head torch). We’ve been visiting Eskdale for many years and this is easily the best place we’ve stayed!

Beautiful cottage in idyllic location.

Spotlessly clean , beautifully furnished and they’ve thought of everything you could possibly need!! Amazing waterfall and stunning walks on your doorstep. Lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers on arrival…very much appreciated..thank you! Can’t recommend highly enough!! We will definitely come back!!

This is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful area.

The owner left a delicious welcome gift which made us feel at home immediately. I would highly recommend this property and will be back.

Our 2nd stay at this wonderful cottage and already looking to re-book!

It's location is so idyllic and so many beautiful walks and places to explore, places to eat and drink without even moving the car. The cottage is spacious, light and homely, the owners have really thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Immaculately clean throughout. We even had a few morning visits from a little deer and the saw a cheeky few little red squirrels this time!

We have visited Eskdale many times over the last 15 years but this was our first stay in Dalegarth Hall Farm Cottage.

It was absolutely delightful. Clean, warm, bright and airy with lots of space. Tastefully decorated and practical too. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything that you could want. The bed was very comfortable. It was great to have an upstairs bathroom and separate downstairs shower room/wc . The cottage was spotlessly clean and the fresh flowers were lovely too. Beautiful location with stunning views and the river Esk bubbling near by. There is lots to do here and the cottage is ideally placed for walking. There is a plethora of walks that you can do without driving anywhere. 'La'al Ratty is always a great way to travel through the valley too. There is a choice of pubs to choose from, either very close by or further up and down the valley. Thanks Lottie for the welcome treats, so kind of you and very much appreciated. We had the most amazing stay. Would definitely recommend this cottage and we would like to return.

Wow, what a fantastic property!

One of the best holiday cottages we’ve ever stayed in. Perfect tranquil setting, walking distance to 2 pubs, plenty of footpaths and walks from the doorstep. The cottage is immaculate, high spec, and beautifully decorated throughout. Great communication from the owner Lottie, who also provided very helpful directions. A wonderful welcome hamper was a lovely touch, gorgeous thoughtful items - best lemon drizzle cake ever - thank you! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend/return to the cottage - absolutely loved it. Thank you.

A perfect holiday property in every way, thank you so much !

Fabulous Property and a warm welcome as always - rebooked for next year already!

An excellent property, beautifully decorated and well equipped, and in a very quiet spot.

. We enjoyed a lovely holiday in this beautiful area. Lottie had left a lovely welcome hamper, including delicious lemon cake.

An amazing little cottage tucked away of the beaten track in just the perfect location.

The cottage was immaculate and so beautifully presented. The owner Lottie who is so lovely has done an incredible job of ensuring you have everything you need for your stay. The welcome pack was a wonderful surprise and well needed after a long journey. There are so many walks straight from the door including Stanley force which was a lovely walk and has a stunning viewing point. There are plenty of good pubs with lovely outdoor gardens in walking distance or just a 10 mins drive up the road. The river that runs alongside the cottage was perfect for our dogs to have a good swim as well as us humans. I can't wait to visit again

We spent a lovely week at Dalegarth, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and all the local wildlife (red squirrels were the highlight).

Accommodation was perfect, well equipped and spacious, we felt welcome there and very relaxed. Stunning walks right from the front door, including the challenge of Scafell Pike from one of the lesser known routes, but plenty of less challenging walks/climbs too.

This is our second visit to Dalegarth cottage, again a lovely welcome treat on arrival, even the dog gets treats, everything in cottage is to very high standard, comfortable beds, lovely linen, nothing at all to fault it, set in beautiful countryside with deer outside kitchen window, red squirrels feeding, wildlife on your doorstep, will be certainly booking again, looking forward to going back.

This is the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we've stayed in loads!

We had a brilliant stay over New Year at Dalegarth.

House superb, attention to detail superb, location superb! This has been one of the best houses we have ever stayed in, top quality. From the gorgeous lemon drizzle cake to the bottle of wine, Xmas tree to the best information folder. Lottie the owner was lovely, met her in our second day and let us get on with our holiday but was there if needed. Stunning location, two pubs in walking distant, the Boot Inn was superb. The only thing we could find fault was only one TV, on a rainy day two would be great especially when you have kids! You will not be disappointed with this property! Definitely will book again in the future!

Perfect, everything we wanted plus more, looking to book early next year, highly recommended.

The property is set up perfectly, everything you could need is available, the owners have done an amazing job with this beautiful property, very comfortable, clean and tidy, It’s in a perfect location for exploring the area with two pubs which both do great food, just a few minutes walk away, only 35 minutes from Scarfell pike and the beautiful Wast water, such a perfect place for the best escape.

WOW- a fantastic location, close to the river quite secluded whilst still only 15 minutes walk to the Boot Inn and Brook House for food, if required.

The cottage has been very well renovated and extremely comfortable, good quality furnishing and accessories. A variety of walks from the cottage and can swim in the river too. A lot of thought has gone into making this property home from home, with many little touches. Owners were on hand if required. Will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful stay, it’s been the best place we have stayed in.

We will certainly be back as soon as we can

We had a lovely stay.

A gorgeous cottage with fantastic amenities, in a great location. Lottie was a fab host. We’d definitely return, thank you!

Had a great break at Dalegarth.

Cottage has been recently refurbished and facilities are first class. Location is beautiful, very peaceful and quiet, couple of pubs serving food nearby and lots of opportunity for walking etc. couldn’t recommend highly enough!

A brilliant holiday let , superb location very picturesque and quiet.

Lovely walks on the door step with local attractions. The cottage was fully equipped and renovated to a very high standard, enjoyec the little extras of home made cake , wine and doggy treats. 5 stars all round

Outstandingly beautiful property with everything you could wish for!

Thank you so much, I really enjoyed my stay.

What a fantastic property in the most beautiful location!

Everything was perfect, from the cleanliness and facilities to the little personal touches - we were greeted with some little treats on arrival that were greatly appreciated after a long drive. Lottie is a great host and made sure our stay was comfortable and hassle free. Thanks for a lovely break away. Would highly recommend!

The cottage ticked all our boxes that we were looking for ie location, amenities and peace and quiet.

It would have been nice to have a tumble dryer available but understand space was not available for one.It would be beneficial to state that the property had to be reached down a track. It wasn’t a problem for me but our friends were not to keen on it.We will return in the future.

Quite simply the best cottage I have rented in Western Cumbria in the last 20 years.

Very thoughtfully purpose built holiday home. Kind and considerate Owner, happy to help if needed. Lovely location close to the river, many valley walks from the door and foodie pubs nearby. Dog friendly although garden not enclosed (mine don’t wander and are used to living by a farm)
