What an amazing place to stay.

Butifully decorated very clean and with a lovely surprise in the fridge, our host was very helpful with all the i formation we needed and the property was so well situated for getting to the lakes, morcambe, Lancaster and Blackpool. Would highly recommend

Comfortable, clean,cosy, with everything you need and more! Walks from the door, along the canal, and a lovely garden centre just a 5 min walk away. Excellent contact with the owner, who left us tea,coffee and some treats! Thankyou Vicki, we had a lovely time.

Lovely bungalow with everything you need for your holiday.

Everything was very clean and house is very well decorated. We got ourselves into a little predicament and vicki and her husband were fantastic at sorting it out for us. Would love to stay again as it's so comfortable plus its close to many places to visit and very handy for access to the motorways.

This is a lovely cosy holiday property, well situated for touring the surrounding area.

The cottage was immaculate and had lovely attention to detail, with everything you may need, including a delightful welcome pack. The owner was very informative and helpful too. We hope to return.

The property is very clean and comfortable located on a small very quiet estate.

It is handy for Morecambe, Kendal, Yorkshire Dales and the Lakes. There is only a small breakfast bar seating two at once. Vicki was very accommodating and left a nice welcome pack. We do hope to return soon.

We had a second enjoyable stay at this comfortable and well placed bungalow.

The sun shone and we had long walks along the promenade at Morecambe. The Royal Hotel’s Sunday lunch was delicious and the art deco Midland Hotel in Morecambe gave us fantastic views across the bay as we had coffee and tea cakes there. We made good use of the regular buses, did very little cooking, but found the kitchen to be well equipped with good quality cookware, cutlery and crockery. Fluffy towels, very comfortable king-sized bed and easy to use walk-in shower. The fridge with top freezer drawer is small but was sufficient. Very nice holiday accommodation.

A lovely bungalow in a great location, M6 easily accessed, near the Lakes.

The village of Bolton le Sands is close to Morecambe bay. Where you can take accessible walks, in summer you can see the sunset and rise. Winter walks also fabulous, wrapped up warm! The village has shops, restaurants and takeaways. Garden centre nearby worth a visit for brunch with a fabulous view of the bay. The bungalow is very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. A wet room again easily accessible. Parking on property can easily take 2 cars, or van. The owner leaves contact details and a neighbour deals with outside bins. Nothing is too much trouble. We had no issues at all. We enjoyed a very comfortable weeks stay in February and will be back...xxx

Firstly, I want to say that the host has been excellent, she was very kind and couldn't do enough for us on our four week stay in the cottage.

On arrival, she left a lovely welcome gift of Prosecco, fresh orange juice, bottles of beer and some chocolates which was a really nice touch. The house was very clean, beautifully warm and there was everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house is in an excellent location for walks from the front door, for visiting the coast, Yorkshire and the Lakes District. We would definitely return.

The bungalow was extremely comfortable,cozy and clean. The owner left complimentary proceseco, couple of bottles of beer, milk and choco, which was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable.

Easy to find and with off-road parking a bonus. Comfy sofa and bed. Nice kitchen and bathroom, loved the shower. Nice to have an outside seating area when it's not raining. Great location for exploring Morecambe, Lancaster and the lakes. Nice pub/restaurant, and Chinese within a 10-minute walk. Lovely welcome pack, most appreciated, thank you.

We received a lovely welcome email prior to our arrival from the owner, and felt at home as soon as we walked in.

The property was spotlessly clean, and furnished to a high standard with everything we needed. There was prosecco , beer , orange juice, chocolates, as well as tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. There are lots of walks in the local area, as well as a garden centre, pub, chinese restaurant all within a few minutes. This is one of the best holiday properties we have stayed in!

We both enjoyed our stay in this well presented bungalow.

It was very comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The fridge is very small with a freezer section at the top. The king size bed was extremely comfortable with high quality bedding. We did not use the other bedroom. We had plenty of hot water and an excellent shower. We ate at the nearby garden centre cafe and at The Royal Hotel in the village. Both were very good. There were regular buses to Morecambe, Carnforth, Kendal and the Lakes. The weather was sunny throughout our stay and we enjoyed breakfast and an evening glass of wine on the comfortable garden furniture. We would like to visit this area again and would definitely return to this property.

This was a lovely little bungalow, clean, tidy and filled with every little thing we needed and more.

We felt very comfortable and had the owner's phone number should there be a problem, which there was not. Some unexpected treats nearby, the Royal Hotel for Sunday lunch and an evening pint, a great Indian restaurant, The Far Pavilion, and an interesting garden centre with lovely cafe and great views. Altogether we had a lovely holiday and appreciate the opportunity to rent this bungalow for the week.

One of the best holiday rentals we’ve stayed in, in a lovely, quiet area.

The bungalow is modern, well-equipped, spotlessly clean and exceeded our expectations. Beds are so comfortable, shower fantastic and very easy to control. Host very kindly offered earlier check-in and left us a much appreciated welcome pack; thankyou. We had a couple of days out in Morecambe as well as some nice walks locally and enjoyed refreshments afterwards in the garden centre. The grandchildren have already asked when we’re going back! We would highly recommend!

We had a great 4 night break at this lovely cottage in a very peaceful neighbourhood.

Short distance to lovely walk along the vast estuary. The bungalow was very neat and had everything in the kitchen and felt like home away from home Owner was very generous with welcome drinks.

It was a delight to stay at a newly renovated property, the host gave us an earlier check-in time which is always appreciated.

Several treats were left for us, wine, chocolates & milk, this is something that other owners fail to do any more. Very peaceful area with fantastic walks on the doorstep. An enjoyable experience we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The bungalow was great, very clean, well equipped with tea towels, washing up liquid and lots of personal towels.

Kitchen was well equipped with full sets of crockery and cutlery, kettle and toaster. Only thing missing was a teapot, which for us tea beĺlies was a big thing! Vicki, the owner, left us milk, beer, prosecco, juice and chocolate, which was very, very kind. Vicki was very understanding when our car broke down and we couldn't make the journey until we got a hire car the next day. I would highly recommend 12 Merefell Road and look forward to staying there again when visiting my brother who lives in nearby Morecambe. Grateful thanks to Vicki for a lovely stay.

A lovely detached bungalow which has been refurbished to a very high standard.

It has a well equipped kitchen, 2 very comfortable beds and comfy seating in the spacious living room. The power shower is excellent and easy to control. The location is very convenient for visits to the Lake District and the west coast resorts as well as Lancaster and Kendal. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Plenty of room on the driveway. Rear of property was a lovely sun trap. The bungalow is beautifully maintained with excellent facilities that gave us a very comfortable and relaxed stay. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. The property was ideally situated in a quiet residential area with easy access to Morecambe, Carnforth and RSPB Leighton Moss. The shore line at Bolton Le Sands was also easily accessible either by walking or driving with plenty of free parking on the front. One of the best Sykes cottages of the many I have stayed in.

A superb cottage with everything that you could want for a relaxing holiday.

Cosy lounge with sofa with high back, fully equipped kitchen; deep cosy beds and fabulous shower room. The garden furniture was useful as we had a heat wave. Lots of places locally to eat eg The garden centre restaurant and The Royal Hotel. Only 5 miles to Morecambe and a walk on the promenade. Return visit to Kendal. Would highly recommend this cottage!

We really enjoyed our stay at Merefell Road, I can honestly say that it was the best accommodation we have ever stayed in, it was modern, well equipped and exceeded our expectations, and especially the welcome drinks.

I did'nt want to leave it was so quiet and peaceful and the neighbours we spoke to were really friendly. It was just a short walk to the bay and a lovely restaurant at the garden centre, If we are up that way again we will definitely book this property.

My husband & parents have just come back from a lovely 3 night stay at this bungalow.

I took everything you would need for a self catering accommodation but hardly used any of it as the property had almost everything we needed. Spotlessly clean on a quiet residential street. Shower amazing. Thank you for the fridge goodies, a lovely gesture.

From first walking in, we were very impressed with the whole interior, it looked all new.

Took a little while to work out how the heating worked and we think an explanation in the property guide book would be useful. Apart from that , totally satisfied.

Ideal accommodation for us as I have mobility problems, with parking on driveway and one step entry to property.

The house was in walk in clean condition, very tastefully decorated, powerful walk in shower. Very comfortable beds with quality bedding. Ample storage. Owners left milk, beer and wine in fridge which was a lovely touch. Quiet residential area, with eating places in the village. We’d recommend Trungs. Central for visiting the Lake District, Morecambe, Lancaster

We have stayed in plenty of holiday rentals and this has been the best in terms of design, comfort and sheer attention to detail.

For a detached, two-bed bungalow it's amazing. This was our first time in the Morecambe Bay area and when we return, we will surely stay at 12, Merefell Road. The bungalow is located within easy access to all the places we wanted to visit, including Morecambe, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, Arnside and Carnforth. The kitchen is well-stocked and it was very thoughtful of Vicki to leave some milk; and even better to see a bottle of fizz and a couple of cold bottles of lager in the fridge. Teabags and coffee sachets are nice, simple touches, so often missed elsewhere. The shower is the best I've ever used. It's powerful and very easy to control. It has both a normal showerhead, which can be hand-held and a rain showerhead. A great shower makes a big difference. I'm going to get one of those floor mats for our bathroom. The beds are big and very comfortable, with four pillows. All the linens are of high quality. Space for two cars off the road. And it's really good value. Just don't book the week we want to return!
