  • "Stay away from this listing."

    They've made bogus claims(we left the property on time but still claimed that we overstayed, claiming that 8 people stayed and breached the contract but only 3 people stayed in the property). They have the card pre-authorised so that they can claim whatever they want to claim.

    Mr. Kumar, This is simply not true. Sykes is the only party that can charge your card. They rightly demand verification of any damages caused and costs incurred before they charge you. We supplied this, and they could see the damages caused by your party. I am pleased to say that in the last year, no other guests have behaved as your party has, and so none have ever been charged before now. Up until your review these have all been 5 star! This is our home, and we are very proud of the furnishings and the very high standards our cleaners maintain. It really is exceptional. Finally, I do hope you follow your own advice and stay away in the future. Property Owner

  • "The only thing missing in this property was a microwave."

    beautifully and immaculately presented throughout ideally situated in the centre of Kendal no need for a car as bus and train stations close by.

  • "The accommodation is a little gem in the middle of Kendal."

    Whether a central base of operations for touring the Lakes or like us a base to visit friends it serves its job well providing a convenient place to go home to. The house is unbelievably silent considering what you would think would be a noisy commercial area, however it was spot on, already recommended to friends and family and look forward to visiting again

  • "Property exactly as described."

    Bit of a last minute booking with friends and not disappointed. We were the only car in the car port at the time of staying but would be very tight with 2 cars, that said it’s a very quiet close so car could be unpacked a bit before parking. A little tip, get the key before parking! Beds comfortable and property clean and welcoming. Literally the only thing we said we could have done with were a pair of tongs in the kitchen. Lovely and quiet with the town of Kendal right on the doorstep. Would definitely stay again if going away with friends.

Further from the property you will find the fantastic Lake Windermere with two beautiful towns located at the water's edge, including Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside.

All have lovely independent stores and eateries, as well as ample opportunities for watersports activities, walks in the scenery and lake cruises.

For a day at the coast, head over to Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or even head into the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
