Barn was fantastic, as large family , plenty of large bedrooms and showers and baths. The beds are so so comfortable. Lovely fluffy quilts and bedding. Not slept like that for so long, and with it being so dark and quiet was so relaxing. Showers powerful and lots of hot water , lovely soak in bath. Plenty of games. Games table. Cooking utensils etc. . Barn very remote but in perfect location to travel to so many places like the lakes Blackpool. Etc. All only being at the most around hour away. Williamson park is a must. Phil was so helpful and around somewhere if needed him. It’ was so nice to cosy up with the wood burner when we returned home after our adventures everyday. We had Halloween party For the children whilst we were there and all had great time. It was funny watching the chickens strutting by tantalising the dogs. The only thing I would say is watch the cooker hood extractor as we all banged head on this during week We will definitely be returning again.

Check in from 4pm and check out at 10am pretty much means its one day on the saturday. A change in these times would make a huge difference in the stay, to make it a longer stay for more of the weekend. However it was a lovely weekend, the owners were lovely and friendly. The house was well equipment and it was a very comfortable stay. Would rebook the property.

The layout of the barn gives you great social spaces but with plenty of space for everyone so never felt crowded. The hot tub, games table and sports pitch were all an added bonus. • "We had a wonderful holiday staying at Bowland Barn with a couple of negative points."

The road up to the house was in terrible state, with huge pot holes but I assume that has nothing to do with the owners. The main point was it was not suitable for disabled and I found it hard to negotiate stairs as there were no handrails for me to hold on to so I tried to stay in the same place and not to walk about due to the fear of falling down the steps. Apart from that the house was so nice and my family were the rest of the party thought the same and are already talking about hiring the property again. Everything was clean, well equipped with everything that we needed and the quality of the fixtures and fittings along with all the kitchen utensils was 1st class. The owners were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very friendly, polite and easy to talk to. For anyone wanted to stay here I would rate it 10/10 as long as you had no walking disabilities. A really lovely property well worth the stay. Thank you

Not only were none of the bathrooms warm, it was not possible to dry the towels. In addition the ambient temperature throughout the house created by the underfloor heating was also inadequate. Two ladies in our party were constantly cold.

Kitchen is the best for entertaining and all being together round the table. Each room was just lovely and the most comfiest beds and helped that each room upstairs had an en-suite. Was able to get a Tesco food delivery to the property which helped loads! Had a brilliant time & the property catered for all - our age group was 23mths - 69 years old. Phil & Claire were great - at hand if you needed anything but left us to it otherwise. The pictures on the website do not do the property justice, it is amazing, spacious & very well equipped. We all enjoyed playing with the board games - there is a cupboard full. The pool/table tennis/air hockey table was enjoyed by all & a few tournaments played. I do think it is worth mentioning that all upstairs 4 double bedrooms are all en-suite & the 2 bedrooms downstairs share a bathroom. There is also a separate W.C just off the entrance. I have not seen a property with the same amenities. We had some lovely family meals sat around the large dining table - the kitchen has everything you could think of from washing up liquid to wash powder to herbs/spices. The separate wine cooler was a big thumbs up too. Really looking forward to returning again next year. There are some lovely places to visit & we had some cracking cycle rides (hills not for the faint hearted). Would recommend to all our family & friends.

Huge open spaces inside and out. The dining table could seat us all without feeling squished and that was a huge bonus. We could happily hang out in the kitchen while food was being cooked and natter away, not to mention the benefit of two ovens and more cutlery and plates than you could possibly need in one sitting so there was never any need to continually wash and re-use. The owners are wonderful — helpful and friendly — and have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Highly recommend!

This barn is very spacious and extremely comfortable, perfect for our much needed family get together. Everyone, from our 3 year old grand daughter to grandpa at 74 had a fabulous time. There’s plenty on site to keep everyone happy and occupied, from the games area upstairs to the hot tub, and the adjoining land, suitable for exploring and short walks. We had lovely weather for November so bbq’d, made hot dogs and drank hot chocolate together outside. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable and made for a good night’s sleep ready to start again next day! There’s everything you could possibly need to cater for a large group and seeing the whole family congregated around the enormous refectory table was truly special. Many thanks to Phil and Claire (the owners) who have put so much thought and effort into the barn, and for being so friendly and helpful. The holiday was a huge success for every one of our party.
