"A very upmarket property, ideally placed."
we had everything we needed, perhaps a small bin in the bedroom would be appreciated.
Beware the chairs in the front porch they were like bucking bronco's if you sat on the edge.
It was extremely hot in the conservatory when the sun was out, but lovely to sit in the garden then, with a glass of wine.
The weather was dreadful so we played a lot of games and did a jigsaw.
Over all it was a very plush cottage. We sank into the carpet, loved the bathroom and slept well in the comfortable beds.

"The accommodation was wonderful."
Very handy for the village, the lake and any walks we wanted to do. The back garden was amazing - a real sun trap perfect for relaxing after a walk, well sheltered and very comfortable. The bedrooms were all beautifully presented and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It was great to have a bedroom with en suite. The beds were warm and very comfortable. The living area was also very comfortable. The owners were welcoming, super friendly and very helpful and kind. We were unsure how to use the Aga and would have appreciated more detailed instructions, We would also suggest a folder with more instructions such as where to find a doctor if needed, and some information on things to do in the area would be helpful.
Our one negative comment is that we paid for early entry but when we got there the cleaners were just starting so we had to wait till 4 p.m. to get entry. This was not the owners fault but some kind of communication issue between Sykes Cottages and the cleaning company.

"Lovely property in fantastic location."
Would benefit from a guest book giving more comprehensive information about the property and appliances but overall, despite the weather, we had a great time and would book again.

The standard of cleanliness was first-class and the general presentation was lovely.

"We've had a lovely comfortable stay at this cosy, spacious and modern property."
Plenty of room for us and our doggie in a lovely quiet street with Herdwicks (dog-friendly) cafe just a few minutes walk away. Great that the garden is totally enclosed so that our miniature poodle Sam could wander around without supervision.

Immaculate accommodation, all mod cons. Great location with fantastic views. Sad to leave our very comfortable stay. The aga was a special treat, having not used one before. Didn't want for anything.

"This property is situated in a perfect location within Coniston village."
We absolutely loved the design of this place and it was super cozy, with central heating radiators and warm air vents in each room.
Bedrooms were perfect , coupled with two bathrooms(1 an en suite)
Garden was enclosed and ideal for travelling with a pet in terms of being secure.
The pubs were on our doorstep particularly the Black Bull which we regularly visited for food and drink.
Nice walk to the lake and great views of the surrounding countryside.
Owners have taken great care of this property and we highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Coniston.

"We had a wonderful stay at this bungalow situated just off the centre of Coniston in a very quiet cul de sac."
Access was easy and the house provided eveything we needed. We were three ladies ,so all slept in our own bedroom and all slept very well. The house was spotlessly clean. Constant hot water in both bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. We used the thermostat on the lounge wall to control the heating and the Aga in the kitchen kept the house cozy. Really lovely stay even in stormy weather.

"Hazelodge is one of the loveliest cottages we have stayed in, and that’s saying something after 30+ years of visiting the Lakes regularly!"
Presented with the highest standard of furnishings and equipment and very tastefully designed, a great layout too. We loved the kitchen, the AGA was a game changer when cooking a Sunday roast :-)
We had rain every single day with barely a break, so we were very pleased to have a cosy and welcoming place to come home to and enjoy drying off
Owners were most helpful with a couple of small problems which were resolved immediately
We would return without hesitation

"We had a lovely 4 night stay at Hazelodge."
It would have been helpful to have had a folder with information about WiFi code, instructions for TV etc to hand, and a welcome pack with hand soap etc. But the views from the property were lovely and very handy for getting around without having to use the car. The village has all the facilities you need and is just a 2 minute walk away.

"Truly wonderful spacious bungalow in a perfect location, off road parking in the centre of any Lake District village is a real bonus."
Stayed for a few days with good friend and his son for spot of cycling, you would be hard pushed to find a better location in Coniston this place is as central as can be, literally a few hundred feet to the Crown Inn, yet of an evening and night you would not know it as it is so quiet and peaceful. Really nice kitchen and conservatory with great views, unfortunately the weather was not in our favour but the garden would be a lovely place to sit on a warm summer evening. On entering the property there is a large linked area between property and garage, this is fantastic if you are walking or cycling as great place to remove any muddy boots etc. Good showers, didn't use the jacuzzi bath but would be nice after a long day on the fells. Yes the toilet seat is still loose in the en-suite but really would not mark any place down for that. Stayed in a good few places around Coniston over the years but never the same ones, will definitely stay here again had a wonderful time.
Thank you for your lovely feedback
The location is truly spectacular shame you didn't experience the beautiful weather to enhance your stay.
Very sorry the toilet seat is still loose it was attended to prior to your stay but thankyou for sharing this problem.

"We had a lovely week in this beautiful property."
We love the lake district but had never been to Coniston before. 2 weeks before we came we found out my 82 year old Mum was seriously ill and she cried with delight at the views from the garden. The owners have thought of everything and my mum didn't want to leave. We hope to return again when my mum is better. Fingers crossed.
Aww thank you what a lovely review !
