  • "The space was perfect for our family of three, but it could comfortably accommodate a family of four or even five depending on the setup."

    The lodge itself was very convenient for us. While it’s a bit far from the main sightseeing spots, we actually enjoyed the longer drives each day—the scenery along the way made the journey really pleasant. The facilities were just right for our needs, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The only minor downside was the noise from a nearby train. However, it didn’t bother us much since we spent most of the day out exploring and were usually quite tired by the time we returned. Overall, our family really loved the place.

  • "Stayed 4 nights at this really nice caravan, spacious and spotlessly clean."

    Had a minor issue with the heating , which the owner helped us with immediately. Lovely spot for walks through the woods and fields, and a short drive to Silverdale village and Arnside, and 40 mins to Bowness. There is a train line behind the caravan, which did not spoil our stay and didn't bother us at all. Would be happy to stay here again!

  • "Fantastic area for relaxing."

    Quiet and clean. Lots to do in the surrounding area and further afield. I.e Hiking, visiting Heritage sites and parks. There also other towns to visit within twenty minutes or an hours journey. The whole family enjoyed it here. Thank you

  • "We had a lovely stay & the children 12yrs & 8yrs thought it was great."

    Both said the beds were comfortable, as did we. It was very nice to find out that it was a working farm & having 2 horses almost next to our van was a bonus especially for the grandchildren as they are both learning to ride. The owners were very welcoming, friendly & very helpful. An added bonus was being able to use the facilities at Holgates, only a 5 minute drive away, swimming pool, bar & restaurant. There was also a play park & a small indoor bowling, but we didn't go on that, maybe next time. We would not hesitate to use this holiday site again.

  • "5 stars – A peaceful and comfortable retreat."

    We recently stayed at Lodge 3 @ Old Waterslack Farm in Silverdale and had a truly lovely experience. The lodge itself was spotless, spacious, and very well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep each night. Everything was well organised and clearly set up with care. It’s an ideal place if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, surrounded by beautiful countryside and a great base for exploring the Silverdale and Arnside area. We’d happily return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, cosy escape.

  • "Beautiful location, well presented clean accommodation in good condition."

    A perfect place for exploring nature on foot, with the occasional use of a train or bus available with a little forward planning. Unfortunately I need a better quality mattress in order to sleep comfortably, and being a lady of a certain age I really couldn't regulate my temperature with the polyester bedding covers. I guess people with cars could bring their own home comforts.

Sorry about the mattress not being to your liking, it was bought brand new before we opened from a very reputable supplier but as you can imagine, it can be hard to fit everyone's requirements! Customers are more than welcome to bring their own bedding/towels, they just need to let us know so we don't make the beds up before arrival. Property Owner

  • "We had such a lovely stay at this lodge in the Lake District!"

    It was spotlessly clean, really comfortable, and set in a beautiful, peaceful area. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and they shared loads of helpful information about the surrounding area and the local wildlife, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There are some fantastic walks nearby, and the location is ideal—within easy driving distance to lots of places we wanted to explore. We’re already thinking about coming back, it was that good! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic getaway.

The property boasts two bedrooms, including a double room with its own en-suite facilities, great for unwinding after a day of exploring.

The second bedroom features twin beds, ideal for children or additional guests, and is serviced by a convenient shower room with a walk-in shower.

The social hub of the lodge is the open-plan living space, where you can gather together to cook, dine, and relax in one cohesive area.

The local surrounding area is a “nature lover’s paradise” with stunning limestone pavements and wonderful woodland walks through countryside alive with rare plants, trees and wildlife - the internationally renowned Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve is just 1 mile away from the village. Further afield, but within easy touring distance, are the Lake District and Lune Valley, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland.
