What guests are saying
From previous reviews we were expecting great things from Bracken Ground but even good reviews don’t portray just how special this property is.
The isolated location and beautiful grounds give you an immediate sense of calm. That, along with the outstanding facilities, thoughtful touches and obvious passion Karen and Mat have to give their visitors a truly memorable holiday make this property a one off. Easing aching limbs in the sauna or hot tub after a long day on the fells or simply admiring the thoughtfully lit grounds and lake at dusk were just a couple of highlights. As a group of 10, spanning three generations, we visit The Lakes each year, but Bracken Ground will be our ‘go to’ from now on!
As a family of 3 generations we always book a weekend away to spend time together , We look for quality accommodation and certainly found it in Bracken Ground .
The furnishings were of the best standards and so clean and comfortable , kitchen crockery/ glasses/ utensils everything you needed was there. Hot tub and sauna were amazing and the location with such a lovely private area to explore was the icing on the cake , thank you to Karen, who was so helpful when we got a bit lost on our way there
We had a wonderful stay with extended family.
The weather wasn’t amazing but it didn’t matter as we had so many great places to visit and a beautiful home to stay in. Everything was spotlessly clean, we had everything we needed and more. We also received a lovely welcome basket too which was so lovely and thoughtful! There was great communication with the host throughout. Highly recommend!!
