  • "Property lovely clean tidy little extra’s very nice."

    Milk, bread, jam, tea towels, wine and larger However the smell en-suite meant we could not use it. Bi-fold doors falling apart when opened

    Thank you for your review. Regarding the on suite , there was an issue on site causing this to happen. We have never had this issue before as you can see by our reviews. I am taking this matter up with the park. Maybe I could message you privately regarding the door as I wasn't made aware they are falling apart? I am there this week and will get down to the bottom of this: I know the glass has blown on one panel and this getting replaced this week. Property Owner

  • "7 Lake view is a fabulous chalet in a wonderful position near to the lake."

    We were there in the May heatwave .the outside area was nice but we felt it needs a parasol for a bit of shade as it gets the sun all day

  • "We would recommend it to friends which is as is a commendation as possible."

    Tiny thought - no shower gel that we could find. And we were not fans of the classical head on the table! But in every important way this is a fine place to book and we are thinking of returning

  • "We had a lovely stay at 7 Lake view."

    The lodge was perfectly cleaned and prepped for our arrival. The bottle of prosecco & 2 bottles of Madri were a lovely touch and we're very grateful. The choice of jams and butter in the fridge were also welcome addition. The beds were very comfy and there was definitely enough room for all 5 of us to be comfy but not on top of each other during our stay. Parking for 2 cars also a bonus. We'd have to be really nitpicking to say the only additions we'd personally have welcomed is a tv in the 2nd double bedroom, and some lights on the decking steps as in the dark and rain, the steps were a little hard to see. But that is not to detract from how lovely the lodge is and how much we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Regarding the TV due the mirrors we wouldn't be able to fit one in this room, we do have fast WiFi so all IPads and phones will be able to down load movies and streaming.   • "BEAUTIFUL lodge!"

    The decking is so big for the summer! The property was super clean with beautiful touches left like the Prosecco, bread, butters etc. every room was perfection and everything so close by like Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere being a short drive. Great communication. I would 100% recommend this as a luxury stay to anyone!

  • "We had a lovely stay at 7 Lake View."

    The lodge is amazing. Comfortable beds, clean, milk in the fridge, a real home from home with a luxurious feel. The Prosecco and beer made it feel extra special. The location of the lodge is great with beautiful views of the lake but only a short walk to reception and the main entrance. The host was very attentive. We had no problems but I have no doubt that they would have gone out of their way to help should anything have arisen. I’m hoping we’ll be back for a stay in the summer months to make the most of the large deck. Thank you for a great stay, I would go so far as to say it’s the nicest lodge we have stayed in. And we’ve stayed in quite a few!!!

  • "Absolutely loved my stay at this cabin in Windermere!"

    Everything was high quality, the place had everything you could need and was spotless! The view of the lake from the cabin was incredible – truly breathtaking. It was easy to find and in a fantastic location. Would definitely stay again – highly recommend!

  • "We had a lovely stay over the October half term, and couldn’t fault anything."

    The lodge itself was beautiful and welcoming with lovely touches like; underfloor heating at this time of year! Having a starter pack with milk, jams, tea coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. The view of the lake from the lodge was gorgeous and I imagine it would be even better in the summer on a warm day sat on the decking. The beds were really comfy and we got a great nights sleep! The location of the park was great and we easily managed using the buses and ferry port from Brochole to get around the local areas without having to use the car. Overall we had a lovely stay and it was like a home from home, with everything you needed and would highly recommend staying here. Contact with Christina was simple and she was very welcoming.

WINDERMERE

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

7 Lake View is accessed by 7 steps to the decking.

White Cross Bay has its own onsite facilities. You will need to purchase a complex pass from reception which includes the use of the pool, entertainment and access to bar and restaurant. The prices are subject to change by park management.

Please note, strictly no BBQs are permitted on the decking.

The nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
