  • "Everything was perfect."

Well maintained and clean. Beds super comfy. Only issue, we could not find the slabs provided for the BBQ.

Thank you for the feedback Fatima, it means a lot to learn people enjoy our place as much as we do. Regrettably we do not allow the use of BBQs on the decking due to previous damage. People are however allowed to BBQ on the hard standing at the side. Property Owner

  • "Lovely well maintained lodge."

Hot tub huge bonus. Small recommendation but would benefit from airer in the storage cupboard, as nowhere to hang wet clothes after using the on-site washing machine. Stayed on White Cross Bay many times in different areas. This is the nicest lodge we’ve stayed in.

Thank you for your positive feedback Lisa, and thank you for choosing Ghyll lodge for your stay. We take great pride in our lodge and your feedback is warming. The launderette does offer dryers for wet clothes for future reference. Ghyll lodge owners Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic holiday, the lodge is very clean, modern and in good position."

The decking wraps around the 3/4 of the lodge and has a jacuzzi but dog safe. The only thing I would say and this is not the owners fault or Sykes holidays but on 2 of the days we couldn’t use the decking or jacuzzi because we were invaded by a decking company who arrived in 4 vans and 2 cars, parking everywhere when working on the lodge opposite 8am till late 2 days on the trot. They parked 12 inches from the decking staring directly at our deck playing loud music and swearing etc. we did ask at one point if they could turn the music down which they did but the noise and shouting was horrendous. I did ring Sykes on the day who were not made aware of the work and they contacted resort to try and get them to move their vans but it was late on. Like I said this was not the owners fault who you can tell takes pride in their lodge. On the plus side for customers in the future, there is no decking to be done around any of the close lodges as it looks like they have all be renewed. Will I return, yes as it is a lovely lodge and I do understand workmen have to do their jobs it was just the closeness of their vans and noise etc

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you were disturbed by the work in the area being completed by Parkdean Resorts, had we known prior to your stay, we would have made you aware. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. That said, we are delighted this did not take away from the fantastic facilities Ghyll Lodge has to offer and that you would return. We look forward to welcoming you. Owner Relations Team - Lake District Lodge Holidays. Property Owner

  • "Lovely location for exploring the Lake District."

Wonderful spacious lodge, we loved using the hot tub. Excellent facilities throughout the lodge, we had everything we needed. Wifi isn't great but this is clearly stated in booking. I'm not very good at being off grid but we did use the clubhouse if we needed better signal. The only thing I would add is a few more hooks on back of doors to dry towels etc Thanks for a lovely stay.

Thank you for your feedback Natalie, We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. Regrettably, the Wi-Fi is out of our control and your feedback regarding the additional hooks on the back of the doors is a great one. We shall take this onboard and hopefully on your next stay, you can hang your towels with ease. Hope to see you again soon. Ghyll Lodge Owners, Chris & Cheryl Property Owner
