Jubilee Bungalow Pet Friendly Sleeps 3

Property was very clean but lacked personality.

Sleeps 3 and only equips for 3, 3 mugs, plates, knives and forks etc. A few more would save washing up after every drink. Garden at the property very basic and not somewhere to spend any time. The site had nice grounds and lovely walks nearby. Great for a bargain stay and funds support a good charity so can forgive it's failings.

The bungalow was clean and tidy and very comfortable, the beds were comfortable.

The single room would benefit from a small set of drawers. The outside area could have been better maintained, lots of large weeds growing up through the stones and slab area making it difficult ro walk to the picnic bench. Would have benefited from more comfortable seating for sitting outside at night to enjoy the weather. A clothes pole would have been a great addition to support the towels on the washing line. The use of facilities could be better advertised, only being able to use the gym outwith the hours of physio sessions and the same with the pool. All staff that we interacted with throughout our stay were very helpful, informative and polite.

Enjoyed our holiday, lovely site and accommodation and staff.

Would stay again.

This bungalow is spacious, the settee is a little low for people who have mobility issues.

Cleanliness is excellent but there are a few issues with the decor a little plaster and paint would bring it up to perfect condition. We had a slight issue with the size of the double bed when there is plenty of room to fit a King size bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The place where the property was on was beautiful and so quite.

Lovely river behind and waterfall. The property was nice and slept 3 which meant there was only 3 glasses plates forks etc. It was clean however could do with a refresh as there were chips on the walls and stains on the ceiling in the main bedroom. Reception staff were lovely.

Peaces and quiet .

...plenty of walks 4 miles from pooley bridge visited a lama farm too Time out .

The bungalow is sited within a quiet area, with easy access to Penrith.

Situated to the east of the Lake Distict with good access to Ullswater and Keswick. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. This is our third week staying at this location and we look forward to returning here. Wi Fi is now available at the property.

This was our third holiday at Eamont park, this time in the bungalow.

As always, the property was beautifully clean, and provided everything we needed. It was cosy, and the shower was great. The bed was comfortable. We slightly preferred the sitting room in the bungalow, as it was a bit bigger, and was a separate room rather than an open plan dining room/sitting room. I would highly recommend this property, and this holiday provider.

21 is a practical as opposed to quaint semi bungalow. It is very well maintained, spotlessly clean, great hot water supply and a comfortable bed with lovely white cotton bedding. The situation in parkland is very attractive and parking outside the door. Didn’t use the pool/ gym/ restaurant faciities.. Dining cutlery, crockery is minimal so we took a cafetière. 150 yards to the bus stop with a frequent service to Penrith and on to Keswick, Carlisle, or Windermere in the other direction, although this servicei is curtailed in the winter timetable. We loved lit and have booked no.9 for next year.

We enjoyed our few days stay.

And was glad to help the charity.

Very very very basic.

Found info book useful for places to visit. Shame there was no WiFi. 2 very good dog friendly pubs within easy walking distance with bus stop outside handy for visiting Penrith.

Amazing property and facilities, makes for a very comfortable stay.

Perfectly located for exploring the Lakes, second visit here and certainly wont be our last!

While I could not fault the house itself, there was no wifi apart from at the reception area and the phone signal was very poor.

Also, there was a clothes line outside but no way of drying clothes inside, ie no tumble dryer or clothes horse. We asked about the latter and was told there should have been one, but unfortunately there wasn't. The location was ideal for exploring the Lake District. Penrith had a good variety of shops and supermarkets, all within a few minutes drive of the house.

Lovely and clean nice location and very peaceful and quiet.

Would definitely use Sykes again. Only fault was only 1 piece of cutlery, 1 mug,1 plate, 1 bowl per person so had to wash up after every use. Apart from that perfect and on arrival there was a complementary bottle of milk in the fridge so cuppa before we unpacked was perfect, thanks

Really liked the property, had everything we needed, clean tidy and well maintained, very peaceful, the grounds were very pleasant especially with the river bordering the property.

The reception staff were polite and helpful. One of the best places we have stayed over the years. Will certainly be going back next year.

We arrived early and expected to wait but the the property was ready for us it was lovely and clean and the staff in reception on every occasion were very pleasant, we had a very peaceful stay it's so quiet in the bungalow a very enjoyable relaxing holiday would love to come back again the beehive pub a couple of minutes walk away was nice and only a short drive into penrith which is a lovely place to visit highly recommended thanks.

The bungalow was comfortable, providing everything that we needed and is conveniently located, close to Penrith.

Lovely clean warm bungalow in a good position for exploring the lakes.

It was well equipped with everything I needed. The grounds were well maintained with a waterfall at the back of the garden. The garden was dog friendly and secure. My dogs felt at home as did I. A welcome 7 night break. I didn’t use the pool as I had the dogs but that’s ok.Thank you for providing a home from home environment.

Really bad no WiFi compounded by bad mobile phone signal.

Difficult to plan days out. Location fairly easy to bus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 21 Eamont Park, and hope to return, as do our family too.

It was immaculate, spotlessly clean, convenient and with all the facilities reqyuired. It was conveniently situated within distance of all the places we wanted to see. Even the weather was kind to us.

Quiet and comfortable and the location makes it easy to gain access to the beautiful Lake District.

Lovely, well maintained clean house very comfortable beds, in a lovely quiet setting.

perfect location for us near town, shops etc with lots to do and see close by.

Beautifully clean, well presented property.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the lovely grounds and the general area. Food available on site and a small bar.. At the entrance is the crown pub,lovely food and welcoming, AVOID the beehive, expensive rubbish! Could have done with a couple of extra knives, forks etc. If we'd asked I'm sure they would have provided them. Ideally a dishwasher . On the whole lovely

On arrival the lady in reception was so lovely and helpful.

Told us everything we needed to know. Very knowledgeable about the area, and, printed off maps for us. Once inside the cottage no 21, we were really pleased as it had everything we needed. Plates, dishes, cutlery pots and pans etc. Really comfy beds. We felt really at home. Unfortunately the site itself was a disappointment. We nipped to reception to enquire about booking breakfast for the morning after, and enquiring about pool opening times. We were just about to nip into the lounge area to use the WI FI, (we already knew to cottage didn't have it so we understood that), we were then told we couldn't go in that area with the dog. We asked if we were able to leave the dog in the cottage just for an hour for breakfast etc. The breakfast times are only 7.30-8. 15 am, so even if you did decide to do two sittings, it wouldn't be possible. We were told that wasn't allowed, therefore we couldn't eat on site, or go swimming as a couple. This was a real disappointment and luckily there is a great pub just outside the camp on the same side called The Beehive Inn who do great meals, we had to go into Penrith for supplies for breakfast. We did think of going separately for a swim as that wouldn't have mattered, unfortunately there is no lifeguard so at least two people over 18 have to be in the pool. Really disappointed as although cottage is dog friendly, the same can't be said for the camp.

Nothing to complain about.

The property was clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic, beautiful surroundings and well kept gardens! We just felt the site was lacking in information. The site itself would benefit from more obvious signage i.e, reception, dining room, pool, gym, bar etc It would have been useful to have information regarding on site activities as well as local facilities, shopping, attractions etc. , without having to attend reception for this information, staff were very polite and helped when asked ( so you need to know what to ask !) but did not offer suggestions. Perhaps a few brochures,leaflets and local grocery/shopping info.within the accommodation would help? Due to lack of WiFi (informed of this in the listing) we had difficulty in finding any information. This however, did not stop us from enjoying our short break .

The bungalow is situated within a very quiet setting.

Beautiful grounds to the main building. Couple of pubs within a couple of mins walk. The bungalow has everything you need really with the exception of WiFi which they have already stated. Would stay again. Great location as a base for popping to St Bees and many other places.

The claim for this property is that it has a fully-equipped kitchen.

The accommodation is for three people but I felt that providing only three of everything in the kitchen was taking things too far. Three dinner plates, three side plates, three cereal bowls, three table knives, three forks, three wines glasses, three beer glasses, three tumblers etc is lacking in imagination. In addition to this there were no scissors, no eggs cups, no cheese grater, no potato peeler. Also, none of the knives would have cut butter hot. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how efficiently Sykes Cottages dealt with a problem that could have ruined our holiday. the problem had all the potential to spoil our stay there but Sykes came up trumps and sorted the problem for us in less than 24 hours.

Above expectations in every aspect.

Felt as though we could move in and never go home. Great pub with meals close by and very friendly and helpful people. Only addition would’ve a seat in the walk in shower. But this was trying to think of something to include.

We wanted a relaxing base to visit the Lake District.
