  • "Apartment has lots of good points."

Really lovely open plan living area. Kitchen had everything you needed and more. Bathroom is good. Location and parking is great. The not so good points really relate to comfort. The sofas are past their best and you just sink into them. Combine that with the TV being too high on the wall and there's an issue. We had to move the sofa as far back as we could so our necks weren't strained trying to watch tv and add cushions to sit on it. The dining room chairs are also past their best. So heavy and again you sink into them. Had to put cushions on them to sit comfortably. The main issue was the bedrooms. The bed in the main room is so low (below knee height) and we found the mattress so uncomfortable. My partner ended up sleeping in the other bedroom where the bed is standard height but you can barely move around the edge of the bed as room so small. The rooms are also so light we just did not sleep. The blinds are useless and due to the lights being on in the car park below it's never dark in the bedrooms. It was then getting light at 4am so we barely slept all week. There is also a really annoying ticking (like a clock) coming from the wardrobe in the main bedroom which may not bother some but for me was incredibly annoying. When we arrived we found a note taped to the washing machine saying out of use due to a leak. We weren't informed of this when collecting keys so had to call the office and get them to send someone out. Which they did the next day which was great so thank you for that. Sadly would not return due to the issues raised. We regularly come to the Lake District and this was our most disappointing stay sadly.

  • "The bed sheets were old and uncomfortable with buttons missing so they did not even fit over the duvet."

The pillows were poor quality and very uncomfortable. I did not sleep well at the property due to this. The actual apartment was in a convenient location and had everything in it to make it a home from home.

In August 2021 prior to this review both bedrooms were fitted out with replacement quality pillows and fine Egyptian cotton hotel quality duvet covers and sheets. On the 4th November 2021 after the review, the apartment had its annual Visit England Assessment and we were pleased to receive a four star rating. The Inspector commented on the bedrooms stating ' The beds are firm to the touch with a supportive mattress and quality bed linen provided'. Please see the photographs on the website for confirmation of the high rating the apartment has recieved Property Owner

  • "Lakelovers service isn't what it was."

Amoung other things we were email a "noreply" email the day before departure setting out work the we Must Do. You'll be asking us to clean the oven, Bath, Sinks and mop the floors next,. Came across very very badly. A bossy communication not aligned to providinga great holiday service. There's AirB'nB and several other more service orientated rental companies inthe Lakes. You also ripped us of when we had to change dates because the whole country was in lock-down on account of the Corona Virus -nto impressed.

Please note the comments in this review are of Lakelovers customer communications, and Lakelovers have been asked to review their messaging to customers. This review does not reflect on the quality of accommodation provided at Lakeland Loft. Please be assured of a comfortable stay in this wonderful contemporary apartment. Property Owner
