  • "The apartment is very comfy and clean."

Conveniently located and within 1 min walk to supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Would have been perfect with a washing machine. Highly recommend.

Hi, thank you very much for your comments and we hope you had a lovely stay. We had to make a decision to either install a dishwasher or washing machine when refurbish it recently as the kitchen space doesn’t allow both. We choose the dishwasher as guests would use more. Hope this helps. Property Owner

  • "Really nicely fitted apartment and a great location."

Comfy and clean. Great base to explore the Lakes, either walking directly up the hill to the lovely views of Orrest Head, or catching the open top bus to beautiful villages and mountains. Apartment is close to good restaurants and shops too and only a 10 minute walk from Windermere rail station.

Really enjoyed our stay (2 people) for 5 nights however: 1 x toilet roll was insufficient 2 x towels was insufficient Lack of kitchen roll Fridge was quite small & limited what we could store within it

We are pleased to hear you really enjoyed your stay at Windermere Crescent. From our understanding, providing 1 toilet roll seems normal in many holiday lets however as we have requested our agent to provide sufficient amount for our guests stay i.e. at least 2, we’ve enquired about this. We were informed that we had a cover cleaner for your stay and she wasn’t aware of this therefore only provided 1 so apologies. Kitchen roll is normally provided. There are a Co-op just downstairs to our apartment, and a Sainsbury’s across the road. Although they are not supermarket size but store all the essentials and some more options especially for holiday makers. I hope you will find them handy to use when you stay with us again. • "Really nice place to stay."

Right in the centre of everything from walking / driving distance. The apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival and instructions how to collect the keys from the apartment prior to arrival was very clear. The apartment has the basic things you need for your stay. To access the apartment you need to go up around 30 steps so if you have walking difficulty’s or mobility issues I would check this prior to booking. Salt , pepper , oil , hand soap , washing up liquid , cloths , tea towels and limited dishwasher tablets was also provided what we was unaware off. Also a welcome box with tea bags / coffee / biscuits / sugar / milk sticks was in the apartment kitchen , this was a unexpected nice touch. The allocated parking spot was available the whole time we arrived although upon check out there was a car blocking us in behind our car , but lucky we could get out from a tight squeeze down the other parking space next to it as there was not a car there. If there was we would have not been able to get out. The night before the same car was also blocking us in but by time we went out late afternoon it was gone so had no issue getting out. The only thing I would say and it has been mentioned on another review is maybe a welcome pack , as we was not sure where to put the rubbish and instructions on the Wi-Fi code and maybe how to use the hive and what to do with used towels / if we was required to strip the bedding etc. Overall though it was a lovely stay and would definitely recommend Windermere Crescent , brilliant for small family’s or a couple.

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback about Windermere Crescent. We are very pleased to hear you had a lovely holiday. We’ve taken all your suggestions onboard and all detailed information will be updated onto our Welcome Pack, which will be available in mid-August in the apartment. We’d also like to provide info here: the wifi code is on the box of the router, which is in the lounge. Parking. We’d recommend parking in the outer space. If this is not possible and you need to move your car, a knock on the door at charity shop or downstairs’ neighbour would be fine. The staff in the charity shop are always happy to help (during shop opening hours) Property Owner

  • "Nice flat, we usually stay in Bowness so enjoyed exploring the local bars and restaurants."

The flat is well furnished and had everything we needed. We were lucky in that we were in two cars and expected to struggle to park one but we were the only ones parking there all week.

The property was clean and has sufficient space and basic supplies for the family to enjoy. I have been bragging about this property to our friends and planning to book another stay very very soon. Thank you.

Very good location for local amenities. Would benefit from a welcome pack with Wi-Fi code, hive heating instructions, local amenities such as launderette. Overall a lovely stay and would return. Perfect for a small family.

  • "The carpark directions didn't match where the car park was, so this might need amending on the listing."

Also locals weren't always happy that you had parked in what is your designated space, but I think this was a misunderstanding and the holiday company called me to say that my car was fine which was appreciated. Probably put an iron to use in the apartment too.. I managed to get myself a cheap one from the charity shop downstairs.

Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us at Windermere Crescent, we hope you enjoyed your holiday. Thanks for pointing out the parking. Indeed, having a designated parking spot right in the centre is like gold dust. As specified in the customer information, we only have one space available for our guests. The parking area is very well signed. Unfortunately during your stay an unauthorised vehicle was parked for a short time, and the situation was beyond our control. We asked the office to reassure you that we were aware and that we would resolve the situation as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. The directions have been amended. We do hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

  • "This property is fantastic!"

It’s in an amazing location right in the heart of Windermere with amenities on your door step. Despite being so central it’s extremely quiet and the owners have clearly invested in new windows to minimise noise. The property is so clean and lovely decorated (nicely modernised with a twist of traditional features), it has everything you need. It is dog friendly and a great price. This property is on the top floor, as advertised, however, is up several flights of stairs, it’s worth assessing if you struggle walking. Overall, I can’t recommend this property enough and we look forward to visiting again.

Dear Miss Birchall, We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. A huge thank you for taking the time writing your review - very much appreciated! We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Take care, Windermere Crescent Property Owner
