  • "From the moment we walked into Kilmory Lodge we were blown away!"

It was absolutely spotless, nothing went missed at all! It was very well kitted out, and had everything you could possibly need for a weeks stay. Upon arrival there was a food hamper in the kitchen, a basket of ‘things incase you forgot anything’ In the bathroom cupboard, and even robes and slippers for the hot tub, which were such a thoughtful touch. The owners clearly care about the lodge, they have clearly spent decent money on making it beautiful, cosy and maintaining it! The owners really should be proud. After postponements and waiting, it was so worth the wait! Me and my partner will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

  • "We have just returned from a lovely week at Kilmory Lodge."

We have stayed at lots of cottages, but this is definately one of the best. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard with absolutely everything you might need for your stay. Mark sent a little video preview before we arrived explaining everything, brilliant idea and very helpful. The hot tub is perfect, with the added bonus of robes and slippers. We would highly recommend Kilmory Lodge and will definitely return in the future. The only downside is the busy main road outside, its almost impossible to see the oncoming traffic when exiting the driveway, maybe a mirror would be helpful??

  • "Kilmory Lodge is the perfect place to unwind and relax in very comfortable surroundings."

Mark and Julie have provided the place with everything you would need for your stay. It’s furnished and decorated to a very high standard, the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was great to sit and read in the lounge or watch a film on the Smart TV. The hot tub in a very private area at the back of the property was great and nice way to chill out with a drink after a long walk. I’d highly recommend this property, thanks again to the owners.

Very clear instructions, Mark even sends a video of key location and the basics. Lodge was spotlessly clean throughout. Equipped to a very fine standard. Mark and Julie really have thought of everything. Nice big comfortable bed. The Hot tub was a lovely way to relax after a day exploring. The lodge is wonderfully peaceful and we would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

  • "Kilmory Lodge has everything to make a holiday perfect."

A gorgeous patio area at the front with pots and hanging baskets of colourful flowers where you can sit in comfort and have a drink or a meal. There were a couple of G&T's & Milk in the fridge and a wonderful welcome pack in the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Nothing was forgotten in the rest of the bungalow either, even a sewing kit. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. I requestd a lightweight duvet and my request was honoured. The shower is perfect and there are large fluffy towels. We didn't use the hot tub but if you do there was a couple of dressing gowns and slippers and extra very large towels. Mark is very helpful and there if you need anything, he even booked hot weather for us, but if you are unlucky and it is cold there are lots of extra blankets to keep you warm. The TV has very good reception and the boardband is fast. I noticed this as we come from the east coast where the connection is much slower. We had a wonderful holiday and I would recommend this bungalow to a couple who like luxury, it has one bedroom with a huge bed and a large dressing room with loads of storeage space.

  • "Just got back after spending the week at Kilmory Lodge and it was a lovely holiday in every way."

The lodge was exactly as it looks on the website and the hosts are always on hand if required but didn't even need them as all instructions were perfectly provided in the welcome pack. Made good use of the hot tub and the bed was probably the most comfiest we have ever stayed in. The local buses were excellent and well worth paying £5.50 for 24 hours that gives you access to trams in Blackpool as well. The area was beautiful and locals were really friendly. Pop down to the shovels inn for good quality pub food and head to fleetwood for a nice quiet beach. Everything about the lodge and area was perfect and will definitely be going back at some time in the future.

We followed Sykes guidelines taking towels and pillows etc. The Bungalow was beautifully finished and everything we needed was there. Everything worked but after a power cut there was a problem with a TV but the owner quickly came and sorted it for us Patio area and gardens are a joy to sit in. We didn’t use hot tub but it was primed ready for us if we needed it. Great place to stay and visit surrounding areas.

The hot tub was perfect and very secluded. Own parking space. Convenience shops and pubs nearby. (The Seven Stars Pub served a fabulous Sunday lunch) Knott End on Sea has a charming Cafe on the river front. A five minute ride on the ferry and you are in Fleetwood, for its market and Museum.- both not to be missed.

  • "What can I say!"

This lovely lodge has everything you could possibly want for a fab self catered break. Nestled in a little village type setting, with plenty of local amenities. The lodge itself, was uber clean, very well presented, and has a very homely feel about it. Fabulous attention to detail with decor etc. There's a hot tub, which isn't overlooked by anyone, and was great to be used at any time of day or night. The hosts, due to Covid had taken every opportunity to still retain the lodge's functionality. We spoke on Whatsapp, and they were very responsive, both before, during and after our week at the lodge. We had taken our bikes, so took advantage of this when we went out the for the day. There's many places in the surrounding area to visit, whether it be for the beach, a bike ride, a walk, all are very close to the lodge. But when the day is over, the tranquility of the lodge was extremely welcoming. The bed is huge, and extremely comfortable, to the point we noted the make and model of the mattress, and will be ordering one! I cannot fault this lodge, the hosts, the location and I would return in a heartbeat!!!

The pictures of the lodge look great but they really don’t do the place justice it’s much bigger and really homely in the flesh. The hot tub is completely private at the back of the lodge which meant you felt so relaxed and log burner was really nice as well. Mark and Julie the hosts were always on the end of a text if we needed anything responded quickly but you didn’t feel like they were intruding on your holiday. They gave us some good recommendations for places to eat. The Thornton lodge was very nice pub about 10min drive from the lodge. They also left nice little extras that were a lovely personal touch. About the location

Blackpool 9 miles; Morecambe 18 miles; Lancaster 22 miles.

The historic market town of Poulton-le-Fylde, within the Wyre Borough of Lancashire, is a charming place full of cobbled streets, unusual shops and ancient sights. Tour the town and its scenic surrounds on the three-mile long Poulton-le-Fylde Historic Trail, which sets off from River Wyre Hotel, a 19th century pub close to Skippool Creek, where smuggling was once rife. From here you wander past salad-growing fields and quaint cottages until you get to St Chad’s Church. In springtime the churchyard becomes a riot of colour thanks to carpets of purple, yellow and white crocuses. Traditionally agriculture was the main industry in the countryside surrounding Poulton-le-Fylde and records show that a market has been held in Market Square since at least 1348. This tradition continues to this day, with a farmers' market held every fourth Saturday. Poulton-le-Fylde has something to suit all tastes; visit Old Holly Farm and the Braedens Pony Trekking Centre, which make for great family days out. The Trough of Bowland is nearby, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, while the many varied delights of Blackpool and Morecambe, as well as the towns of Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal and Windermere and the stunning Lake District National Park are all within easy reach, making this a great destination for everyone.
