  • "Lovely comfortable cottage with nice dog friendly garden overlooking countryside."

    Very close to river for nice dog walks and just up the road from Lazonby community swimming pool where we cooled off during the heatwave We would definitely recommend this cottage!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at 3 Eden View, it was like home from home and had everything that was needed."

  • "Beautiful little cottage, clean and comfortable, the garden was really lovely and it was a real treat to be able to look out over fields for us townies."

    We had almost everything we needed (apart from a bread knife) and thoroughly enjoyed the cozy log burner. Parking was easy and the local shop and pub (The Midland) were welcoming and friendly. Plenty of walks nearby and great access to the train.

  • "Comfortable cottage with some lovely features and a secure garden, so great for dogs."

    With some tweaks this cottage could be perfect. Steps up to garden are steep and without a rail so care is needed. Parking is on the road and was fine for my stay. Has reasonable co-op nearby and all other main shops in Penrith about 15 minutes away. Lovely area with lots to see.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Eden View."

    Everything we needed was available at the cottage. Lots of character inside and a dog friendly garden with lovely views. We would definitely be booking again as we travel to Lake District quite to visit our son who lives there.

  • "The cottage is a real home from home and very well equipped."

    The bed is very comfortable, the back garden is secure and was a great space for our dogs. The garden patio area was a lovely place to sit, relax and enjoy the evening sun.

  • "Lovely cottage!"

    The garden was secure (great for the dogs) and was real suntrap! Really convenient for the local shop and outdoor swimming pool. Lovely walks by the river (just down the road) and a good base for visiting the area.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Eden View, the cottage is cosy and well equipped."

    The garden has beautiful views , love the idea you can step out the bedroom onto the patio. The area has a lot going for it , walks on your doorstep, local shop and pub even has a community outdoor pool. The owners have been more than helpful , they can’t do enough for you. Fully recommend to anyone who is looking to book this property. We even had fish and chips from the chippy van on a Thursday , delicious!

  • "A beautiful, comfortable property."

    Perfect location, not too far travelling to various locations, we visited Scotland, Northumberland and the Lakes on our stay. Clearer instructions at the property required, such as the TV all I got was a pixilated picture sorted that by signing up to Netflix. The shower was good but I had no clue how to put on the overhead shower, the handheld one was good enough. I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again, beautiful cottage, beautiful location, loved it!!!!!

    Everything is catered for - a great place to relax and the outdoor area to the rear offers such good views. Also, you didn't need to come and drop off the new quilt; but the attention to detail was very thoughtful. The log burner is just amazing - it was so nice to sit in the evening with that blazing. The property

Perched in the delightful rural village of Lazonby, Cumbria, is this charming mid-terrace cosy cottage, 3 Eden View.

Dating back to 1860, the cottage enjoys a prime location set between the North Pennines AONB and the Lake District National Park.

3 Eden View is a wonderful pet-friendly choice for couples or a family of three.

Complete with original features, be welcomed into the inviting living/dining room with a plush sofa, TV and a woodburning stove, perfect for relaxing evenings with loved ones.

Settle at the dining table for four where you can enjoy long, lazy dinners over a celebratory bottle of fizz.

Continue through to the well-equipped kitchen, where you can rustle up your best home-cooked meals, which can also be savoured out in the rear garden patio or courtyard as you soak up the last of the day’s sunshine.

Follow the stairs up to the first floor, where you can wash away the day amongst the bubbles in the beautiful p-shaped bath, before retiring to a tastefully decorated double room or a fun relaxing single room with French doors overlooking the rear garden to catch your rest.

The private pet-friendly rear garden is south facing overlooking open fields that often house sheep, depending on the time of year.

Swallows and house martins are frequent visitors.

Explore the village, where you can treat your loved ones to a meal out at the Midland Hotel, stock up on essentials at the Co-Op supermarket and store, enjoy leisurely strolls along the River Eden footpath and further afield, or take a dip in the Lazonby & District heated outdoor swimming pool.

The walk to Kirkoswald is just over a mile along a safe off-road path that runs alongside the main road.

KO as it is affectionately known locally is home to two pubs - the Featherstone Arms and The Crown Inn as well as a village post office.

The Featherstone offers exceptional meals and is extremely popular.

Next stop is Penrith, where you can tour the Penrith and Eden Museum, visit the fascinating Penrith Castle, hike up the Beacon Hill which offers breath-taking views, enjoy wildlife rich walks through Thacka Nature Reserve, test out your swing at the excellent golf club, or visit the nearby Brougham Castle and Mayburgh Henge.

Slightly further afield is Pooley Bridge, home to Granny Dowbekins Tearooms, a café, sailing school, bookshop, a boat hire service and a watersports centre, so there are plenty of opportunities to get out on the water!

Pooley Bridge 15.6 miles; Penrith 7.5 miles.

The attractive rural village of Lazonby is situated on the edge of the Eden Valley and North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The River Eden meanders through the bottom of the village and this area is famous for canoeing, trout and salmon fishing together with climbing, walking and cycling. Between Lazonby and Armathwaite is the Eden Gorge, one of Cumbria's best kept secrets which is well worth a visit. Lazonby has a good selection of amenities including a church, two pubs, a supermarket and a post office. There is also a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. The railway station which is part of the Settle-Carlisle Railway line offers a scenic day out. There is also an independent wooden toy shop, Croglin Toys & Designs which is located in the old school (approx. 18th century) which makes bespoke toys and decorative objects such as wooden bunting. The innovative Rheged Centre in Penrith is within easy reach of the village with its exhibitions, large 3D screen, shops, play area and spa. Historic sites include, Long Meg and Her Daughters which is the third largest stone circle in England, and Hadrian’s Wall, both a short drive away. Ullswater, Keswick and Pooley Bridge are all stunning lakeside locations within easy reach. This village is perfectly placed to discover the stunning scenery and many activities the Yorkshire Dales and Lakes District National Parks have to offer.
