"Let down by parking issue."
If more than one car forget it. Mad neighbours don't help. Ruined our weekend!

We are sorry to hear of the issue that you found with the parking. The web site listings for the property state that there is private parking for 1 car at the property (further on street parking is available 40m away). We have not had any previous complaints about the neighbors and as we were not informed of any issues during your stay we are unfortunately unable to fully investigate. "Very lovely and comfortable holiday property with excellent furniture and fittings and decorated to a high standard."
Master bedroom bed extremely comfortable and we enjoyed looking at the hills from the bath. Would happily stay again.

"Fantastic cottage."
We had a lovely stay. Laura at Sykes cottages was so helpful and able to get our trip organised with short notice. The cottage was very well placed for Grasmere and the surrounding areas. Really well equipped and decorated to a high specification and it was a delight to stay there. A real home from home. And the wood burner ……. Just what we were after. Thanks again.

"Honeywood House is a beautiful, comfortable home!"
Key retrieval was easy. The kitchen is the best outfitted of any vacation rental I have stayed in. Bedrooms and baths are well appointed and comfortable. Location in beautiful Grasmere is perfect. We really enjoyed our stay!!!

"The nicest holiday let we've stayed at in the Lakes (in over 20 years)."
So comfortable, pristine clean, and equipped with everything we needed. Loved sitting out in the secluded garden and just a short stroll to great places to eat out. Walks for all abilities from the door. Perfect.

"We first saw this house when it was being renovated but never had chance to stay until now."
You enter a cloakroom/boot room then into a lovely dining area and kitchen then into a lovely lounge. Everything was well thought out including the downstairs toilet. The cosy fire was perfect on a cold day. The bedrooms were lovely plenty of storage and fantastic views from every room in the house. It is in a very quiet spot with a lovely garden. We had everything we needed. Very close to all the amenities. We will definitely be back

"Tv always came on with HDMI 2 not HDMI 1 as it should."
We soon learnt how to fix but had to do it each time we switched on.
We find big leather sofa less than comfortable for us - consider on next change.
Otherwise we were very happy - thank you!

"An excellent property, but severely let down by the quality of the beds/mattresses/pillows."
Cheap mattresses that offer no support. A bed frame which creaks every time someone moves. Pillows with no filling and which fall into the gap between the mattress and the bed-frame. Agh!!! But apart from that every thing else was excellent.

We are sorry to hear about the issues you encountered at the house, unfortunately we weren't aware of any of the issues you had as we could have resolved them to make your stay more comfortable.
We haven't had any reports from previous guests regarding the standard of pillows, mattresses etc. These are all personal choice, however the owner has taken your points onboard and has ordered a new bed, mattress and pillows.

"Lovely property, and in a good location."
We note that 3 recent visitors questioned the lack of a 'starter pack' for the log burner and the response in each case being that the owner was rectifying the situation - well they still haven't!
Also not a single 'tab' for the dishwasher? This is the first 5* Lakelovers property we have been to that has been missing this type of 'little touch'. Come on, don't blame it all on Covid, you can do better.
However, we had a great time and would recommend the property.

"Fabulous cottage, lovely and clean and warm."
Tasteful and comfortable furnishings. Beautiful walks from the cottage. Particularly enjoyed the walk to Ambleside, Grasmere with lunch at the Britannia and Alcock Tarn. Disappointed that after a long journey, there wasn’t a starter pack of logs to enable us to light the fire. It does mention this in the cottage reviews from others that the owners had rectified this so we didn’t take any. Thank you.

"Very lovely and well appointed property, with everything you could possibly need."
The only thing I would say is, we knew there was a log burner and usually when we have been in winter to a cottage, logs have been provided. We did manage to source some, but we could have arrived prepared had we known. Many thanks for a lovely stay at your property

"Beautiful cottage, well maintained and comfortable beds."
The location is excellent with lovely views. It was a great stay.
The only bit of feedback we could think of was no welcome hamper of any kind, which we've had at every other cottage over the years, so don't expect to turn up and there be a pint of milk, some lovely scones or any other lovely treats which is a shame considering how much the cottage is and nor is any wood provided for the fire, even just for one night.

"Great property and beautifully furnished."
Frying pan needs replacing and could do with rug in sitting room. We broke a wine glass - do we owe you? They are a little fragile!

"The accommodation was excellent, clean , tidy , a really beautiful house for 6 people to comfortably stay in for a week."
The kitchen was brilliant we were able to prepare and cook our own meals as the equipment and crockery was all clean and in excellent condition. All the rooms were spotless , hats off to the cleaners they had done an amazing job especially in these COVID times , the addition of The White Company products was lovely , the house smelt lovely all week. All the bedrooms and bathrooms had been prepared to a very high standard. The addition of seating in the garden was great and we were able to dine inside and out. We had a wonderful stay at Honeywood House , and would highly recommend it . The stroll into Grasmere is not too far and its location for the pubs and shop makes it a really good place to stay.

"We have been to the property before and it was as good as we remembered."
It is in an excellent position and the house has everything you need. There is a good size porch for storage of coats and shoes and a heater to dry them if needed which is an added bonus which you don’t find in a lot of cottages. Will definitely be back.
