  • "Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need."

Didn’t use the lounge or dining room spent the entire week in the kitchen conservatory. Nice and cosy so didn’t use the heating. The bed was very firm. Lisa was very helpful and there was a lovely welcome hamper.

Thank you so glad you enjoyed your stay hope to see you soon Lisa&David Property Owner

  • "Beautiful cottage in a great location for exploring the Lake District."

I got to sit with a coffee each morning watching the river flow by with herons, swifts, ducks and more, this was the perfect start to each day. The cottage is so cosy and well equipped. We stayed with our children (13yr boy, 9yr twin girls) and they loved it. We'll definitely look to come back again.

  • "Gorgeous quaint cottage, very well equipped and beautifully furnished."

The kitchen/conservatory is so relaxing no matter what the weather is like outside. The river runs past the bottom of the garden, lovely to see the ducks. Great base to explore this part of the Lake District.

  • "Thank you for a wonderful stay in your quaint cottage."

The cottage is well equipped, we never used the lounge at all as the conservatory was sunny and relaxing. there was a problem with the microwave which was replaced promptly the next morning. The views of the river are lovely we were entertained by the ducks, swallows and swifts skimming the water. Lovely garden to relax in and soak up the sun once we returned from out travels. Keswick was visited on market day, lovely little streets. Pooley bridge worth a visit. Appleby is a must great butchers and fruit shops away from the big retailers. we had a lovely lunch at Threlkeld village hall.

The house is stunning and the perfect location for some amazing hikes. The view over Newlands Valley from Dale Head a short walk from Honister slate mine is definitely worth the hike. Pooley Bridge is great for food.
