  • "We had such a lovely stay at Lovies."

The pod is very comfortable with all the amenities you could require. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. We loved the hot tub. A beautiful and peaceful site, within good reach of a number of Lakeland towns and attractions. We went up Catbells whilst staying here, to Ambleside (Rydal Hall and caves), Brothers Water, Ullswater steamers, and Aira Force waterfall. And a huge thank you for the surprise pumpkins and Halloween treats; our children ABSOLUTELY LOVED them! We’ll be back.

Thank you for your feedback back, we do like to treat our guests and to celebrate the holidays Looks like you had a great time exploring Were are in a great location to get to many different places Hope to see you all again soon Team Crossgate Property Owner

  • "We had a great time at Lovies Place for our 10y anniversary."

The pod's facilities were great, as described, the view gorgeous and the owners Rob and Diane were really friendly and helpful. We forgot to bring toothpaste and they were kind enough to drive to the pod and give us a tub- this has been such an appreciated gesture! Diane also provided us with milk and eggs which was again a lovely gesture. There are a few things we would have loved to know in advance which are: 1)the insects situation in the evening was out of control and had we known, we could've packed a few more sprays, plug-in insects killer, soothing creams etc. They have provided us with a dry oil spray, room spray and citronella candle but we needed a little more help than that (my partner has developed a severe allergy from the bites) so a heads up would have been nice. 2)Another heads up that would have been greatly appreciated was the fact that the main road (Kirkstone pass) that took us to the property was closed for a few weeks. The Waze app did not pick up on that and we ended up having to detour and take a different route which took us 60miles. Diane has helped us with directions from the road closure back to the highway and to a different route. We rely heavily on the navigation app but in some cases like this one, the app was not updated with the road closure so the owners would have saved us a lot of diesel had they at least mentioned it as a warning before our arrival day. All in all, we had a wonderful time and we will certainly stay there again but probably when weather is less hot and insects are out of the picture.

Thank you for your comments. We hope that you had a lovely anniversary. It is lovely to hear that you found the pod to be great and enjoyed the views! As the property is on a working farm, with livestock, some flies and insects are to be expected. We are sorry to hear of the issue that you experienced upon finding the pod, the Kirkstone Pass being closed is beyond our and the owners control. It was advertised online and on the councils website. We hope that would return again. The Lake District Lodge Holidays Owner Relations Team. Property Owner
