I don't think you can fault the accommodation for the price.

I would prefer a blind in the bathroom but that is just my personal choice. Kitchen is really well equipped. It is in a great location with off road parking. We have booked this accommodation again for New Year.

Lovely little apartment, although we felt that there could be some little improvements.

The outside space could be made more inviting as it really is just a gravel patch. The dinner plates provided do not fit in the dishwasher. The Mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable, so far as to say it lead to very unsettled nights sleep leaving us far from refreshed and relaxed as you'd expect whilst on holiday.

Fabulous location, just 5 minutes walk to the town and lakes.

Really appreciated the little gravelled garden. Photos do not give it justice! Very modern and cosy for 2 adults and dog. Bedroom area a little cosy but very comfortable.

We were really pleased with our accommodation, it's location was perfect for us, 3 mins into bowness yet very quiet spot to stay and easy parking access.

The owner went above and beyond for us and I couldn't be more grateful. Would definitely stay there again.

.perfect location..your own parking spot(a must in Windermere) 10 min walk into Bowness, Spar shop 2 mins away,accommodation spotless and everything you need..nice to have a secure front yard for dogs..not really a "garden" more of a gravel patch..only complaint would be the sofa is a little "tired"..and the bed was a bit hard for us..but we would return .

The sofa is very soft and low down.

Park View - a comfortable apartment on the edge of Bowness.

Handy for restaurants, pubs and shops; the nearby Spar shop was a surprise for choice and quality. This was my 3rd visit and I would expect to visit again.

Been in this place before and looks like it's been upgraded slightly.

Bathroom and living room, kitchen great. Plenty room. The bedroom is slightly small with no storage for suitcases so they had to go in the car once emptied but not a big problem. The bed is a double so not big enough for us. (I like a king). Location is fab. Liked the garden for the dog.

Ideal for a couple, warm, clean and comfortable with a good sized shower room. Just a short walk into Bowness town centre and close to many other amenities. A generous welcome pack was much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.

This is ideal for a couple with or without a dog , very close to the town , it’s well kitted out , shops bus stops nearby , it’s the third time we’ve stayed and are due a fourth next spring .

Very helpful owners if needed , own parking space , we’ve never had a bad stay , rain or shine .never used the car there’s no need. A nice welcoming gift on arrival, it’s warm and cosy and so ideal for the area ,one again top marks all round , thanks to Michael .

We had a great weeks holiday,2nd visit this year.

The property had every thing you needed, it was clean and cosy.A kind gesture was left for us a bottle of wine and cake,parking space too. we where in walking distance to lake windmere, local shops and pubs. Within driving distance to different fells . Check out the local fells Trout beck tongue was a lovely walk and the views where amazing .

took a while to get used to the washing machine and induction hob as both were not what we were familiar with .

my wife didnt find the hair drier until the fourth day. in general the property fulfilled our needs and location was perfect.

Lovely place to stay, perfect for two people and a small dog, has everything you need and we were welcomed with a lovely bottle of red wine and some local biscuits plus a range of tea and coffee.

It’s nicely set back away from the bustle of the main road but only a short walk to all the pubs and boat cruises.

Our stay at this delightful studio apartment was perfect.

The apartment had everything you could need to make your stay comfortable and the owner Mike certainly made sure of that. There was even a courtyard with table & 2 chairs to sit and relax. If you didn’t want to travel out of Bowness every was on your doorstep Pubs, shops & lake. The ground floor apartment was situated across the road from Spar garage which had a great butchers. We would definitely book a stay here again & we even had good weather!

We had a fantastic weeks stay at this property.

Well equiped, clean, tidy very comfortable. We where left a bottle of wine and some lovely chocolate biscuits.Which I thought that was a really kind, thank you very much. We where very close to lake windmere and other places, local pubs and resturants by. we did a lot of walking up the mountains, the wheather was great.we are hoping to book agan soon.Brilliant Holiday !!

A wonderful stay in a wonderful property.

This is our second stay & we can’t recommend highly enough. The location is wonderful & the property is equipped with everything you could need & more. We mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary & we’re delighted to find that the owners had arrange a wonderful surprise for us on our arrival. Absolutely beautiful little flat.

Very modern and fully equipped. Above all, it was so cosy and we felt very much at home. Perfect location for town and lake. Parking spot, which is gold in Bowness. Lovely gift of wine and cake from the owner, who is a lovely man. Cannot fault this. We will be back.

A lovely comfortable flat.

The small things made a difference to the holiday i.e the heater in the bathroom, a shower caddy for storing toiletries, the welcome pack, tea, salt and vinegar etc. Thank you we had an amazing week.

Lovely appartment , nicely done out , everything needed inside for cooking washing etc , easy check in , car was parked all week never used , ideal for 2 , nice hot shower , nice relaxing outdoor seating , close to town and pubs , nice touch of a welcome pack wine cake etc , we had a very chilled week there , no complaints at all , pleasant informative owners , i have been visiting the lakes for the last 42 yrs and seeing prices rise and rise year in year this dwelling comes highly recommended indeed , great value , top class all round

Perfect ! The kind, helpful owners had left a lovely welcome tray as well - much appreciated! If only the weather had been half as good ! However, the flat was so comfortable and pleasant, it was lovely spending time indoors! Booking it again, hoping for better weather ….

This was our third stay at Parkview, we love it.

So close to lake, pubs restaurants shops. Lovely and quiet on an evening and a small garden for your four legged friend, also a parking space. Needless to say we'll be back again thank you to hosts for welcome pack much appreciated .

Stayed here again after staying last summer, it’s just the most ideal spot, your own parking space, got all the essentials and the bottle of wine and biscuits is always lovely.

Very ideal for me and my dog, just a nice amount of space for us, I’m sure I’ll be back again next summer!

Had a great week's stay at Park View, very clean and tidy, close to lake and local travel and all pubs, restaurants etc.

I would recommend Sykes update the pictures as the appartment looks nothing like the ones shown, is very modern and bright. Would recommend and would stay here again.

The only fault we found was the bedroom space only one bedside table not two and one small wardrobe, the double bed was small,this mybe because of the room size it would only take that size bed ( 4' not 4'6") otherwise very clean with clean with all you needed for cooking etc.

Well kept and equipped compact studio apartment that is ideally located.

Unfortunately we hadn’t seen comments on the bed size and reluctantly left after three days due to uncomfortable small double bed that is wedged up to a wardrobe in partition area of accommodation (appears to previously started life as the garage hence compact bedroom) in addition the quilt could do with going up a size. Very disappointed with owner as sent a pleasant message explaining we’d left on the Tuesday morning and this early departure would give them extra days to service apartment in preparation of new clients rather than short turnaround on the Saturday to date no response. This issue appears to be only negative recurring comment and either replacement sofa bed in lounge area or moving partition wall forward to allow larger bed would resolve this problem. It’s sad that our polite message explaining our decision didn’t deserve any response.

This property has everything you need for a great week in Bowness .

It has a superb location . Very short easy access to all shops , Pubs and Restaurants . Easy location to do lots of walks too . Highly recommended .

The apartment is small but has everything you need. Very clean and perfectly located. A 3 minute walk into the centre with lovely shop’s,pubs and restaurants. Lovely walks from the doorstep too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Park view. Just a couple of things but they are definitely not negatives….the door opens straight onto a light coloured carpet and it was quite difficult trying to keep off the carpet while drying the dog and trying to remove muddy boots without stepping on the carpet. We were worried about getting it dirty but I think we did ok! We also couldn’t find any instructions regarding rubbish or the WiFi password but we figured it out in the end. Despite that, we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend ☺️

The location was a perfect base for everything we needed “Bowness” has everything you could need and more all within a few minutes walking.

There was a thoughtful welcome pack that included wine, brownies, tea and coffee which was a pleasant surprise. The property was very clean and well equipped with everything you might need including DVD’s and for those that might prefer to cook rather than eat out the kitchen has everything. However theres so many great places we ate out, we had no reason to cook. The shower room is very cold, there is a blow heater but didnt really do much (it was winter) and the mattress was very firm for us. But the bed itself was good quality. We decided not to bring our dog which was probably for the best as the space is adequate but not really big enough for a dog. We thoroughly recommend this flat for a week at The Lakes and would book again!

I have stayed at Park View on several separate occasions, it has always been a great pleasure.

The accommodation has never been disappointing, always very clean to a high standard. It is well equipped with cooking utensils etc. Bedding, towels supplied. It is an excellent apartment for a couple, (with dog), to holiday in. It is situated in quite a central position, easy access to shops and road system. I would be hard pressed to find better. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, only downside was the bed is to hard but we new this from previous reviews. Also there is no recycling facility so I bought ours back to recycle. Could the owner possibly look at this as it would encourage visitors to recycle. If we visit again I would return to this property.

What a lovely little apartment in the perfect spot!

Literally only a minutes walk from the heart of bowness, the parking spot was also ideal. Loved having the patio doors open on an evening, such a relaxing atmosphere and the apartment was very well equipped with everything I needed. Lovely to be left a bottle of wine and a little cake upon arrival as well! I just wish Sykes would update the photos as the apartment as the apartment has definitely been updated since which was a lovely surprise when I arrived, hopefully I will come back soon!

Had everything you needed . Was very clean and comfortable . Great bonus is the location . Only a few minutes walk to Bowness . Great parking space and so easy walking from the door . Didn’t use the car till day 4 . Would return definately

It was lovely and clean, well equipped and within easy walking distance of the town. One thing is that there were no obvious recycling facilities or the option to leave it to be collected. I simply brought my recycling home with me.

Lovely little studio flat right in the centre of Bowness but in a quieter area away from the hustle and bustle.

Walking distance to main centre and windermere town. Space right outside flat for car so no worrying if you go out you wont be able to find a space when you get back. (Which is really handy for Bowness)Flat superbly equipped and spotlessly clean with patio doors leading out to a small garden area (just a shame the weather didn't allow us to have some nice evenings sat outside) It is steps down to the flat so anyone with mobility issues looking for a ground floor flat may struggle. Lovely property in a perfect location in Bowness.

We didn’t have good weather but the flat was so warm and cosy to come back to. Very well equipped. The bed was a bit small and the shower could do with a bit more power, but the location and coziness more than made up for this.

Downside for us: the bed was so uncomfortable, very hard and not a full size double. A welcome card/pack would be nice with a few hints/tips on wifi etc, walks, restaurants, activities. Other than that could not fault, will happily recommend to family and friends and would love to return

Mary & l travel to The Lakes several times a year, and have stayed in various properties.

This has to be one of the best. A real credit to Michael & Hilary.

We had a fantastic stay at Park View, clean, really good facilities, quiet and a great location.

Having a parking space just outside was also great. Was really lovely to receive a welcome pack on our arrival. The only small niggle, the bed was too firm. I would also recommend that Sykes update their photos for this property, as the current ones really don't do justice to this lovely apartment.

Couple suggestions.

Step outside door, its really high to get in and out. Non slip shower mat, even though bobbles in bottom still found it very slippery. We had a brilliant stay and the property is excellent. Would recommend it in a heartbeat and we will definitely be back.

Lovely and clean, the welcome pack was most welcome.

So nice to have thicker towels, not the normal well used ones. I loved the fact that the bedding was ironed, might not be a priority to a lot of people, but it feels cleaner, and is much nicer to get into. Location perfect, ideal for singles. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Had a lovely stay in park view ground floor apartment in Bowness.

Location spot on, Parking available and only a few minutes walk into town. The apartment it self, living room and kitchen was well equipped and spacious. Very clean accommodation with a complimentary welcome pack on arrival. The only little thing I have to mention, is the bedroom is a tad on the compact size, only a foot each side as space then leading into a decent sized very clean bathroom. The bedroom is an open partition off from living space. The bed was way too firm for our liking, so sleep was interrupted for us. Otherwise the overall stay was good and suited us and the dog. Would we stay again, yes, but for my sleep sanity I would bring my mattress topper as I couldn’t sleep as the bed was way too hard for our liking.

It was so comfortable, the bed, the sofa, and spotlessly clean. We cleaned and left the apartment the way we found it. The only thing I would put forward would be to update the shower or shower head, as not very powerful. Thank you

So this is definitely not a 1 bedroom apartment!

It is a studio apartment with a 3 foot wide Small Double Bed! Myself and my husband have used Sykes cottages previously and never been disappointed but unfortunately on this occasion we were. First the issue with the tiny bed.im only small ( size 10) my husband is not fat and average height build etc but we Really struggled with the tiny bed which only just it in the area partitioned off which was in my mind not a bedroom as only a partition wall which didn’t actually go to the ceiling and no door so you were basically sleeping in the lounge/ kitchen! We unfortunately had to take turns sleeping on the sofa so at least one of us got some sleep and thankfully the sofa is a decent size but definitely not meant to be slept on but we had no option. When we arrived I realised this is actually a converted garage ,which is fine but the dimensions are very tight and it’s rather gloomy ( depressing but we wanted to make the most of our holiday and payed double what we have in previous cottages ( pre Covid) so couldn’t afford not to try make it work. I entered the apartment and saw they had only left us 1 hand towel n 1 bath towel each ( which only just fit round my body and looked more like a hand towel next to my husband) so decided to call the owners to request a couple of bath sheets as 7 days with those would be another Issue! That was sorted immediately by the owner thankfully. Just a couple of other small things which niggled me was they hadn’t provided any wash liquid,no tea or coffee ,only 1 half used loo roll.The other cottages we have stayed at have always left a small amount of tea n coffee and a little food welcome pack like cookies ,cheap bottle of wine n dog biscuits etc so we we shocked that the apartment was so basic. There are some small things which we think could improve your stay like this and things like the tea n coffee cups were so tiny as were the drinking glasses,they didn’t have a cheese grater but loads of pans and other cooking utensils I didn’t think were useful in a holiday apartment. This apartment was in a good location and we would return to Bowness but would definitely Not return to this Studio apartment which should only be let out to single guests in the future,ideally with a small welcome pack with the basic provisions as we payed approximately £850 to stay in a garage n sleep on a sofa!! Very Disappointed ☹️

This was our 2nd time visiting the flat and as usual we were not disappointed in the comfort and cleanliness.

Ideal small garden for dog and able to sit outside. Great location with very short walk to shops and restaurants in Bowness. The apartment was very comfortable and in a quiet location. The TV was a smart TV with Netflix etc. The owners are lovely and extremely obliging. I had a truly enjoyable week with my pooch. Can't wait to return.

Nice flat, very clean and pretty much has everything you need including decent wifi and a flat screen tv with Freeview etc.

The flat is quite compact but it’s fine for a couple. Private parking space right next to the gate was handy. Convenient location, minutes walk away from the lake as well as the many bars and restaurants in Bowness (when they’re open and we’re not in lockdown of course).

We had a fabulous time at the apartment it was cleaned to a very high standard and everything we could have asked for was provided.

Really pleased that we chose this apartment close enough to Bowness to walk in and yet not the noise of being in the town centre.

An absolute ideal base to explore the Lake District

Ideally located just 2 minutes from the centre of Bowness and several dog friendly hostelries.

The Albert and The Royal Oak were our personal favourites. When on holiday, we eat out so didn't use the facilities but everything is there if you prefer to cook. Couldn't fault it and you even get a friendly squirrel on the fence every morning.

The accommodation is compact but everything you expect is here and it was comfortable.

Being able to park within walking distance to the town is a bonus. We found the location to be quiet and a bonus to have an enclosed outside space. A couple of wine glasses would add to the experience.

Couldn't have picked a better spot. Everything was within a 5 minute walk. Parked the car and didn't need to drive till we left. Amazing walking and the food available in town was even better. Cannot wait to go back. Our dog loved his first walking holiday as well

Everything you need to cook included. Very clean and comfortable. An oasis of calm just a few minutes walk from the middle of busy Bowness. We had a great holiday.

this is the second time I have they the first time I wasn't keen on it due to noise from the above flat.

this time I did not sleep due to idiot up stairs load bangs during the night and early morning one time bangs every 20 minutes. I will not be going back

The cottage was very well equipped all you could need and comfortable the only disappointment was the out door space very over shadowed with the tree so no natural light got into the house.

We where their when the weather was very nice but could not take advantage of the garden Also because of the garden being so dark the wide life had a field day ie mice.

This property is in a great location, only 5 mins walk from the main eating/shopping area.

The facilities in the property were everything you would need plus a few special touches like coffee, tea and biscuits. The place is very tastefully decorated and there's also off road parking. We had a really nice holiday there.

Flat well equipped & there is a tumble dryer but a small clothes maiden would have been handy just to pop wet coats on etc.

It had everything we needed and is close to all local amenities. Pet friendly and a good garden for our little dog to run around in. There was 3 pet friendly pubs nearby. Would recommend to a couple with or without dog.

This little cottage is in the centre of Bowness on windermere great for the boates it is like a home from home everything is there you need

All good except for extremely uncomfortable settee, bed comfortable and kitchen well equipped

This was a nice, modern, spotlessly clean flat, in the heart of Bowness, with easy access to the town, the lake and beyond.

There were many positives, such as the excellent kitchen facilities, modern bathroom, the good size lounge area, the garden area and the fact that the flat was very warm. I am, therefore, reluctant to mention any negatives. However, it is important to be truthful when giving feedback. The bedroom area was very small and claustrophobic, with no room for a dressing table and without an accessible electrical socket, making it very difficult for hair drying etc. On a personal note, it was a problem for me, as I have a medical condition which means I have to plug in a machine at night while I sleep. I had to run an extension lead from the living room, which could have been a trip hazard in the middle of the night. The bed was hard and uncomfortable for me, although my partner found it ok, and I do realise a soft or hard mattress is very much a personal choice. Because the flat is built in a converted garage, it was dark with not much natural light coming through, and there was a lot of traffic noise because of the proximity to the main road. As mentioned earlier, there were many very good things about the flat, and the owners left us some mince pies and chocolate biscuits, along with tea/coffee etc., which was a nice touch, and made us feel welcome. The flat is very centrally located, and the fact that it is dog friendly is a big positive too.

Overall Park View was great.

It was an ideal location, decorated and finished to a high spec, had most things we needed there and deliciously warm in a cold wet November. That’s the bit to focus on. There are downsides. The design of the bed area is so wrong in many ways. It’s left the area too small and just not enough space for 2. And without extra bedding provided 1 of us couldn’t take up residence on the sofa to give more space. But what’s done is done. The owners aren’t going to move walls now. My advice to the owner would be if you could change the bed from solid divan to one with legs that would be a game changer as bags & cases could at least be stored there and not in the lounge. And more plug sockets in the bedroom area either side of the bed. More hooks would be hugely appreciated again to get things from being dumped around the lounge chairs or the floor. And a clothes airer is really needed. Every day we were coming back wet and we’re told there was a tumble dryer. But we didn’t want to put our hiking gear in there in case it damaged it. A clothes airer would have meant we could have put wet clothes in the shower to at least drip dry before moving near the fire to fully dry. Plus also we did do washing with the washer dryer and it took 3+ hours to wash & get dry and a couple of items of clothes shrunk in the process. What a terrible waste to the environment of all that electricity when clothes could have been drying in the toasty warm studio on an airer. But it was a great base and it was warm. We were lucky with some of the holiday makers above in that they were quite quiet, but others were not and we could hear everything. So when they had a cough keeping them awake all night - we got kept awake all night. So for future guests I’d suggest taking some extra bedding in case one of you needs to go on the sofa due to the space limitations of the bedding area & take some ear plugs to drown out the noise from holiday makers above. If you do that you’ll have the best stay here and I’d recommend on that basis.

Nice safe area for the dog & to sit out in. Stocked with everything you could want and more. Would definitely book again.

Ideal for a couple. Excellent location for town but not too close for noise. Only observation is the bedroom storage was minimal so had to live out of suitcase.

Excellent one bedroom flat very close to Bowness town.

The accommodation was very clean and well presented with everything supplied for your holiday. The kitchen is great with again everything needed to cook during your stay. The bathroom was fine with a good size shower unit with lots of hot water. The small garden was great for my small dog. The owners even left us a box of chocolates. For us this was a great flat which we would book again and the weather was great all week. 5 stars from us.

Excellent apartment for 2 people and a dog, Great amenities and great location just a few minutes walk to the centre of Bowness

We had a fabulous time , it took a while to work out the TV top box , as the remote control wasn't there , apart from that we had everything we needed .

Good allocation, for shops , lake and walks . Even the weather was kind for January , it was my birthday treat

The only issue is that noise from the apartment above can disturb you.

The property is ideally located all mod cons first class.

Location of this well equipped studio is second to none.

5 minutes walk from the centre of Bowness and all it's amenities. We found the accommodation very comfortable, clean and a joy to return to after a day out walking, it really is an ideal base for the Lakes. Look forward to returning in the future as this was a most enjoyable break.

The garden is densely overshadowed by mature trees but is a valuable private enclosed space for the dog.

Would greatly benefit from some lopping off branches.
