In a great position for watching the tide in the bay and boats on the canal.

Accommodation is clean and comfortable. The owner couldn’t do enough for us!

We travelled up from the south of England for a family event, and stayed at the house over the last 4 nights.

We were so impressed with Mountain View on all fronts. Both bedrooms were of good size, bright and well appointed, and all beds were comfortable. We all loved the furnishings throughout, particularly the G-Plan and other 50's style pieces. The views were nothing short of amazing from every room, and we enjoyed the very short walk down to the seafront via a coffee shop (which was excellent btw) several times per day. We would definitely recommend this property, and hopefully we will be back. The only thing we would change are the photos on the website. The grey day simply doesn't give the house and the views justice. The upside I suppose is you will be delighted when you first arrive!

Great position and beautiful views.

Modern well equipped kitchen. A good addition would be a teapot and cafetiere. It was clean and attractive and liked the theme. We were very happy to stay there. We did find the stairs were a challenge as we are both elderly but we knew from the information given that there were external and internal stairs. Would certainly book it again, despite the stairs.

A lovely property with amazing views, clean and well maintained.

Convenient for both rail and bus links which was good for walking around Morecambe Bay. Communication with the owner was good but communication via Sykes Cottages was hopeless.

We had a lovely few days at Mountain View,as stated in the description the views from the windows are wonderful.

There is everything you need for your holiday. Will definitely book to come back again. Really enjoyed the walks along the canal.

We have stayed at Mountain View several times.

The location is perfect for us as we have relatives in the area. The Hest Bank pub directly across from the apartment is a friendly establishment with good food served every day. Close proximity to the bay .shore and the canal make it perfect for our dog. An easy short walk brings you to the Morecambe promenade and also easy access to the lakes and many other beautiful areas make it a great location.

The location and views from Mountain View are superb and it is well located for exploring the area.

The owner, John, was very considerate, especailly given we had to change our booking three times due to illness! The area is very safe and with two pubs on the doorstep, even our two dogs were happy and content! We would certainly recommend Moutain View and look forward to our next visit.

Well-appointed accommodation.

First time to the area and I will return. Enjoyed the nearby walks and pub ( The Hest Bank). More instructions about operating the boiler would be helpful. As extra touches, some adult-sized garden chairs would be useful as would a shoe horn and an actual, fold up map of the area, to pore over the dining table.

I had a bit of difficulty with Sykes web site initially, I could not retrieve enter info and nor could my friend, we had to call the host who helped us.

The accommodation was excellent, splendid location and Jonathan was a very attentive host. I would definitely like to return to this accommodation. Was unable to drive into the allocated parking space, fortunately I was able to park on the street.

We had a lovely time lovely comfortable clean well equipped place ,on arrival beds not made up ,but rang John and this was soon sorted ,asked about toilet seat as needs tightening up ,but hopefully now sorted , weather was great ,and crossing pub well worth visiting .

Lovely place had a enjoyable stay fantastic views ,enjoyed going to The crossing micro pub and walks on canal and Heysham nature reserve .

A very comfortable stay.

Mountain View is ideal for us when visiting family in the area and is in a quiet location with lovely views.

Mountain View is a super place if you don't mind a few stairs.

The location is great with easy access to Lacaster Canal and the Morecambe Bay shore and a 10 min walk to the Morecambe Prom. The Hest Bank Hotel Pub is directly accross the road ser ing good pub food and a selection of ales. The Crossing micro pub nearby is a friendly establishment and well worth a visit. This is our 2nd time at the Mountain View and we intend to return in the future.

Well appointed apartment in a good location, with views over the canal to Morecambe Bay.

The pub over the road was friendly and welcoming, and the food was lovely. Would definitely stay again. The owner had provided everything we needed, even towels for the dog.

Really comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Absolutely fantastic location with views over Morecambe bay. A great base for visiting this part of Lancashire. We absolutely loved our time here and we're sad to leave. We will definitely be back.

We only had a two night stay at Mountain View but it was spot on for us.

A really comfortable stay especially the beds. Excellent shower . The kitchen has all we needed. Views across the bay and the canal very close made it excellent for walking the dog . A large rug for the dog and we were all happy. Would definitely recommend. Ralph

Mountain View the best yet owner should be proud, sitting room duel aspect views of the sea Morcambe bay and view of canal, kitchen every thing you would want, beds superb bedrooms quality, Parking outside cottage, great location good communication from owner John 5 stars will definitely book again.

Our stay at Mountain View could not have been better.

We absolutely loved the accommodation and John was a brilliant host. It is lovely to see how much care and attention John has put into making sure that his guests have a great stay (and our four legged companion too!). Everything was spot on. The name of the property could also have been Canal View or Sea View - it’s truly a beautiful spot, with breathtaking views from every aspect. We felt really at home and only wish we could have had two weeks instead of one. We could not recommend staying here more strongly and would not hesitate to come back. Thank you, John.

Fantastic property in a wonderful location.

Furnishings and artwork/decor were absolutely lovely. The owner has obviously put in a lot of work to reach the high standard of quality and presentation we found when we arrived. The bay window seat is a place you can sit and relax while watching the world go by on the canal. Views from every window are outstanding and an added bonus was the great pub literally on the doorstep. Would highly recommend.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at Mountain View.

This is an owner who has ticked every box to make very comfortable, stylish accommodation. Added to that is the apartments unique location. Next to a quaint canal bridge with stunning views across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District. Hest Bank is handy for trips in many directions, while still being a restful, sleepy village. There is a handy pub/restaurant just across the road (it isn't noisy). Walks from the door abound, and the owner has left very useful instructions with maps to find them. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, while still having lots of space for your own consumables. So many holiday houses forget you need at least one cupboard for your porridge etc. The very friendly owner was only a text message away when we had a query. We whole heartedly recommend Mountain View.

We had a fabulous 4 day break here.

This is a beautiful property in a fabulous spot. The views onto Morecambe bay were stunning with the canal in the foreground. Great walks to the beach and along the canal. This is a good spot for visiting the Lakes, Morecambe, Lancaster and the Dales. The house was really well looked after, beautifully furnished and clean. We booked last minute as our previous booking fell through and hit the jackpot here. We plan to visit again and bring our kayaks to enjoy the water close by.
