River Walk

This is our third stay in the apartment as we like Kendal,the property is central to the town,is modern,has car parking and is near the bus station which has good transport links to the lake district.

The apartment has everything you need with an amazing shower,the only negative feedback is that the bedding could do with renewing especially the sheets and the sofa is uncomfortable now.

The apartment was easy to find, very clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped.

The location is ideal for the town’s amenities. We attended a music gig at the Brewery Arts Centre which was in walking distance. Also there is the lovely river for walking along.

Perfect location for seeing all the many events at the Mountain Festival. Gaby responded to a problem with speed, professionalism and kindness which really impressed us. Our week's stay was comfortable, warm and we loved the cinema sized telly! Would not hesitate to book again

It’s a great base for exploring Kendal and nearby Bowness-on-Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. There was a bit of dust in places and some of the drawers hadn’t been cleaned inside but Gaby apologised and promised to follow up. Overall, a lovely stay!

We explored all the local places and was lucky enough to have great weather. The beds were very comfy and the lounge had everything we needed. The kitchen would benefit from more crockery and cutlery so that we could have made better use of the dishwasher. I loved the shower beach scene and apart fronvtgecwindiws desperately needing a clean everything was perfect. We would live to stay again. Max & Wendy

This is my third stay in River Walk.

I lived in Kendal for 25 years until 2019 and if I can book this property on my return visits. It is clean, comfortable, convenient and value for money and suits my needs entirely. An excellent property all round.

We had a delightful stay at River Walk, a really cosy apartment in the heart of Kendal, the town centre, restaurants and bars were only a short stroll away.

It was very well equipped lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. The allocated parking bay was very near and we found it more than adequate for our car which is not small. If you don’t want to use your car the bus stops are only a couple of hundred yards away and there are loads of routes to choose from. Gaby was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had an issue with the boiler and Gaby arrived promptly with a plumber who fixed the problem very quickly. We were very impressed with this level of service and we will certainly be returning to River Walk again.

Lovely property with everything you need.

Great location as is in the town centre. Great choice of entertainment for the family with board games and plenty of tv shows for all if having a family night. Needs a little updating of the sofa, beds and bedding as they seem a bit worn. The sofa is very hard and uncomfortable. Having parking is good however the spaces to manoeuvre into thus particular space is very tight if there are other vehicles in the immediate area. Other than the parking issue this is a great property and we'll worth visiting.

Once again we had a comfortable stay,it's a bonus having a car parking space in the centre of Kendal.

The flat was well presented and in an excellent location for the lake District.

Perfect location within the town. Short walk to shops, bars and resteraunts. Also great base for exploring the lakes. The apartment had all you needed. Great touches like games and walking books. Will definitely stay again.

This is a great base everything you need will be back again

A lovely 2 bedroom apartment close to all amenities however we did have trouble finding where the apartment was located as we were not familiar with the area.

Two kind local people helped us to locate it.The kitchen facilities were good so that we could easily make meals when we didn't want to eat out every night. Comfortable sofa and chairs and a great large tv with streaming channels which was a bonus. The beds were comfortable also although we are used to having a king size bed but as there was 2 bedrooms with double beds this was not a problem! Loved the decor of the bathroom with the walk in rain shower. All in all we had a lovely stay while visiting Kendal which has a lot to offer in relation to shopping, eating out and good transport bus links to visit other towns in the Lake District area.

The whole flat was very clean and comfortable . Shower cubicle was lovely . It was a lovely treat having chocolate biscuits left for us . There was a bottle of wine too but we dont drink wine .

Lovely property perfectly placed for trips out across the lake district and so close to shops and restaurants.

Had everything you'd need inside the flat as well. Really helpful owners who responded to a query I had with speed and positivity. Highly recommended.

Very enjoyable stay - would definitely recommend.

My only criticism is that the property postcode doesn't work on my incar Satnav.

However the directions given by Sykes website proved to be spot on. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

Daisy chaining of extension sockets in the bedroom is very dangerous and a fire hazard.

Very noisy fridge freezer which needs levelling. No evidence of gas safety certificate

Great location with parking although quite tight to manoeuvre if it’s full with a big car.

Flat nicely appointed with everything you need, a nice big TV and comfy sofa. Mattresses not great for us but that’s a personal choice, overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you want to stay in town.

The property was really comfortable,once we parked the car we didn't have to use it as the town was in walking distance.

A good base for visiting the towns in the lake district,because of the good bus service, Maybe the owner could get another shower mat as getting out of the shower was a bit slippy,apart from that it was a great shower and stay.

My family stayed here when they came for Christmas and new year 2023.

They loved the apartment. It was tastefully furnished, warm and cosy, with everything you would need away from home, and lots of choices for eating out, and entertainment, within an easy stroll. I requested a baby cot and highchair, and these were in the apartment on arrival. Gaby even put up a christmas tree for us. Correspondence with the owners was easy and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this holiday apartment, and I would definitely look to book here again in the future. Thanks Gaby. You are a super-host.

This was a really comfortable apartment in an excellent location in Kendal.

The kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing I missed was a hairdryer… but it didn’t mention a hairdryer in the details so this isn’t a criticism. We had a wonderful week.

This is my second stay in the property.

As I lived for 25 years in Kendal so Riverwalk is a nice convenient spot in the town centre to revisit. The property is ideal for my purpose

Accommodation was very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Was near to shops and ideal location for visiting the Lake District. For our personal circumstances it did not work as well as we would have liked. Flat was fairly small and there was limited space to dry laundry. There was no airer apart from a small pull out unit in the bathroom. Bathroom floor was very slippery when wet, and there were no hand towels. Hanging space was limited with no wardrobes just a couple of rails and drawers. If you expect to do washing and have wet, muddy clothes, rucksacks etc., as nice as the flat is, this may not be the right holiday let for you. Allocated parking space caused a few problems as we had a larger car.

We had a great time at this lovely spotless apartment very central to all amenities and added bonus of private parking space nice touch of bottle of wine and shortbread.

This was a beautiful apartment and was very new with everything in it new.

The only slight drawback was there were no wardrobes in either bedroom only coat hangers on hooks. This did not prove a problem and I managed the situation. Everything else about the bedrooms was luxurious and obviously to achieve that wardrobes would not fit but the rooms were of a good size, I did contact the owner about a couple of minor points and she was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Ace had a wonderful break like home from home close to town would love to come back in future

It was a very well presented flat, clean and functional.

The welcome package was a nice surprise. We had reason to text the property owner and they were very helpful. On Comfort we do prefer a king size bed, although we appreciate the bedrooms were not huge. The maintenance manager was very helpful in terms of car spaces - the whole place was good value for money.

Very close to town centre and all that has offer and less then 20 minutes from the lake district . In a ideal location . We had a fantastic stay and will be back some time in the future

The flat is very comfortable and has everything you would need for a holiday.

It's just a short walk into the centre of town and having it's own parking space is ideal. I really enjoyed my stay and would look to come back.

The accommodation was absolutely spotless. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. A book with instructions for the electric hob (only ever used gas) the knack with the front door would be good. The single glazing made you realise how much I appreciate double glazing but I suspect there isn’t anything you can do about it (listed property?) but having said that it didn’t spoil our stay. My daughter and I found it super relaxing. Thank you.Julie

Easy access to town centre.

We had an enjoyable stay at River Walk, a tastefully furnished, bright, modern, and clean apartment, in a great location in the centre of Kendal.

The allocated parking space was ideal, being in a private courtyard near to the apartment entrance, and we found it easy to get around the lakes from here, whilst enjoying all the benefits of staying in a town centre, such as good restaurants, pubs, and shops. We can definitely recommend this property to others.

This is a nice flat.

Comfortable, warm and well equipped. It’s ideally located for Kendal town centre. I used it as a base for hill walking and again its location is ideal for the eastern/ southern Lake District and the Pennines. Parking bay allocated to flat was of a good size and very close to the main entrance. All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending.
