The Parsonage

Hello love the accommodation, the off-road parking was bonus, and the garden at the back enclosed was fabulous specially with a dog enjoy the world Top bath, it did say there was a dishwasher on the facilities but there was not one, overall had a lovely day and very central to Kendal to walk into town without having to use a car thank you so much Liz

First stay here.

Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed. Near to everything (pubs, town centre etc), lovely Kendal Castle walk on the doorstep. Lovely few days in nice accommodation.

The Parsonage is in a convenient position to tour the lakes, and with the train station a short walk away travelling to Windermere without the hassle of parking was a bonus.

Regarding the accommodation it was comfortable, kitchen has sufficient resources to cook if you need to, Thankyou so much for the welcome mini prosecco, however there is no privacy in the small garden as residents above and to the side and the garage door does not prevent anyone from looking in at you, could only talk at a whisper so you’re not overheard. The bathroom and bedroom need some TLC e.g cobwebs hanging from walls and ceilings and the bathroom tiles in the shower would benefit from a spray of Cilit Bang(purple bottle)to remove the soap scum and mould. The shower was not a welcome place to refresh yourself. We have limestone grout and similar tiles in our bathroom and within minutes of using the spray the grout looks like new. Duvet was discovered to be baldly stained on removal of the cover to help the cleaner, that was not nice to realise what we slept under. Large black mirror in hallway is long overdue a dusting. We have never experienced any of this through Sykes as we only use them to secure our staycations each year. So sorry to have to share this with you but hope it helps improve a few points for the owners.

The property is within easy walking distance to the centre of Kendal and is on the edge of Kendal Castle which is a great area for walking dogs.

We contacted the owner of property and she came straight away and sorted the problem out for us. We really enjoyed our stay ar the Parsonage.

The parsonage is a great apartment for 2 people and a dog.

The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking implements you could need. The living room has high ceilings and a big bay window, letting in lots of light. The bedroom is big with french doors into a garden/ courtyard. The parking space is huge- big enough for an estate car or 4x4 / day van, with plenty of space to get round the car. There is a huge field (and castle) 20 paces away where you can walk your dog and its less than 10 minute walk into town or the supermarket.

Lovely accommodation in a superb location.

Great communication and outstanding support during our stay. We couldn't ask for anything else. Big spacious rooms, great well stocked kitchen and easy parking on site.

Enjoyed our stay everything was as listed and we found the apartment well equipped and very comfortable.

Would recommend for a stay in Kendal.
