It’s such a beautiful and charming cottage, homely and comfortable, extremely well equipped and very clean. Set along a quiet lane, it feels like your in the middle of nowhere, but you are only a few minutes drive to Bowness. The gardens are immaculately kept and the wildlife a joy to see. There are many lovely country pubs nearby.. perfect for a spot of lunch on a rainy day.! Anne and David are the owners and live in the attached cottage, although the walls are so thick you wouldn’t know anyone else was around. They are the perfect hosts.. warm and welcoming and so helpful, yet very discreet in their presence. Another one of Anne’s delicious cakes was waiting for us on arrival.. as was a lovely hug from Anne. It felt like coming home, and we have already booked for next year.
