• "Gardener's Cottage was a good place for us to stay for a visit in the Lytham area."

  As non-car owners or users, the convenient and frequent public transport was a main reason we chose to stay here, and because there were places of interest all very easily reached by foot. The cottage is clean, with 2 good bedrooms and a handy downstairs washroom along with main bathroom upstairs. Although a great place, there are some things we found less so. We did not like the numerous air freshening 'things' in all rooms. It was a very strong smell and we hid them away during our stay due to sensitivity to them. We suspected this was to hide any doggy smells, as there is a great deal of emphasis on dogs there and in the area. We do not have a dog nor like much their inclusion in a property. However this cottage was clear on its theme. The garden also was a bit of a disappointment, although again used a lot by dog owners, and therefor a bonus for them. The traffic was noisy all day and well into the night and early morning hours. Too loud to enjoy a sit in the garden or sleep with windows open.

I’m also glad you found the cottage clean and comfortable, with the two bedrooms, downstairs washroom and upstairs bathroom working well for your stay. Regarding the scents in the property, these are certainly not there to mask any smells. They were chosen to help create more of a hotel-style ambience, in keeping with the high-end finish and styling of the cottage. I do appreciate, though, that not everyone loves a place being gently scented. Gardener’s Cottage is proudly dog friendly, as many guests love to travel with their pets, but it is thoroughly cleaned and welcoming for all guests, whether they have a dog or not. I actually used to live here myself and now reside exceptionally close by, which means I can maintain high standards and check the property regularly. I was surprised by your comments about the garden, as it is a beautiful walled garden with a fabulous terrace and patio area. I appreciate the weather has been mixed, but the garden is something our guests have always loved and was a key reason we bought the cottage. It is quite a rarity to have a garden like this with a cottage in Lytham, and I was pleased to see you enjoying it during your stay. I’m sorry the traffic noise affected your enjoyment. Being well placed for Lytham and the surrounding area does mean there can be passing traffic at certain times. Thank you again for your honest feedback. • "Our second visit to this beautiful cottage."

  Didn’t want to leave. Such a warm, welcoming place and beautifully furnished and decorated. So well situated for a walk in to Lytham or Fairhaven. Thank you again to the owners for creating such a magnificent place to stay. See you at Christmas!

• "We have just spent a lovely relaxing 2 weeks at Gardeners Cottage, the cottage itself is beautiful, the owners have created a very special place with a very homely feel to it, and done to a very high standard."

  The garden was also great and our dog loved being out there, it was also a little suntrap for most of the day too. Parking was never an issue over the whole 2 weeks, always able to park right outside the gate. Being in a central location to lots of different places is perfect for those who like to get out and about, however it is also just as lovely to enjoy the comforts of the cottage itself and to switch off from reality for a while!

• "We had a wonderful stay at the Gardeners Cottage."

  The property was perfect for us with everything we needed and was clean, warm and cosy. Its location, especially for the promenade, shops and lovely restaurants was excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending Gardeners Cottage and we are already looking at coming back in the near future as we loved it so much!

• "Absolutely loved our stay at Gardeners Cottage."

  So warm and welcoming and thoughtful owners left lovely Easter treats for us. Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, beautiful decor and quality kitchen items. Already rebooked for June and Christmas! When we arrived the grass had been freshly mown and I knew instantly this was our type of place. Well done to the owners- we loved our stay!

• "What a beautiful cottage ,absolutely ideal for dogs ."

  Perfectly situated between Lytham and St. Anne’s . Hardly used the car as we walked along the promenade and the sand dunes in both directions and the dogs were able to run freely and had a fabulous time. Will certainly stay here again

• "It really was as good as it looks in the pictures."

  So good I wanted to take up permanent residence! Ace location for long walks with the dog along the beach. The weather was grey most days, but the cottage was warm and cosy. Bella

  The Gardeners Cottage is cosy, spotless, and beautifully looked after, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break. The location is perfect — peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Lytham and St Annes to enjoy the shops, cafes, and seaside walks. The cottage itself is warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches that really make you feel at home. The garden area is a real bonus and a great spot to relax. Hosts were friendly, helpful, and made the whole stay easy from start to finish. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a great location. We’ll definitely be back!

• "Gardeners cottage is a treasure, so warm, just inviting you in with a beautiful kitchen, the furniture and furnishings are designed to the highest of standards to fit in with the cottage."

  The owners should be so proud of all they have put into place for us to feel totally at home They have thought of everything. Little treats and snacks, for your furry family pets as well. Arrived with cosy lights on, heating on, l relaxed immediately and felt very happy comfortable and at home. The bedrooms are exquisite, peaceful, and restful for a lovely night sleep which l did. Quality comfy beds, bedding and towels. I hope to return when possible I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to stay in your beautiful cottage. Margaret

• "Fabulous stay at Gardener's Cottage - beautifully appointed, so cosy and welcoming."

  We really appreciated the attention to detail, with everything provided for a comfortable stay. The house is very handy for Lytham's great choice of bars and restaurants; plenty of places for a lazy lunch or dinner and with long walks along the seafront on the doorstep. Although we visited in winter, the garden looked delightful and must be lovely and sunny in summer. We would not hesitate to return and can thoroughly recommend Gardener's Cottage.

  From the moment we arrived it felt warm and welcoming. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, with beautiful walks right from the doorstep and it is only a short, pleasant walk into Lytham centre. It was ideal for relaxing and exploring the area. The owners were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us – we would happily stay again and highly recommend it to others.

• "Just spent 5 nights at Gardener's Cottage - this cottage is superb - a quality cottage and a real discovery."

  From the minute we opened the front door upon arrival it was Wow, Wow, Wow!!! - so warm and welcoming with cosy lights on, a flickering fire glowing and the heating on to welcome us. Everything you could want is there and parking is available right outside the garden entrance gate. Location is great too - not too far from Lowther Gardens - with a great cafe and also Lytham Windmill is just a short walk away. The owners of the cottage are available if you need anything which is good to know. We would have no hesitation in recommending Gardener's Cottage.
