What an amazing cottage.

It is so comfy and cosy and the layout is perfect. It’s in a picturesque village and being able to park outside the cottage is a plus. It was spotlessly clean and the owners are lovely

! very modern and spotless, everything you need included. Great location, easy to find, parking right outside, lovely enclosed back garden.

This was our second visit to the cottage, and it was just as amazing as our first visit!

The cottage is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you need to wind down and relax. A real home from home.

Everything about the cottage was excellent; it was very clean, well maintained and had everything needed to make our stay very comfortable.

The fittings and furniture were top class, comfy bed, plenty of room, nice bathroom, cosy lounge and separate 'snug' with gorgeous views over the secure back garden and miles beyond to the pennines (i think). Numerous walks on the doorstop or within a short drive, village pub with good food within walking distance. The owners were very friendly and helpful, enjoyed the chats with Stephen. Lovely property in idyllic situation.

This was our second visit to Lime Tree Cottage and it did not disappoint!

Lovely, clean, comfortable cottage with everything you could need. For a dog friendly cottage, you would never know dogs had been there before, it is spotless. The garden is fully secure, which is one less worry when travelling with your pup, and Teddy loved it. It's also a perfect base for exploring Cumbria, The Lake District and Yorkshire. We'll definitely be back!

And mable loved the garden great real ale bar in kirby steven called La nook Tan Hill is worth a visit for a meal

Wow what a fabulous cottage and people in Winton, perfect in every way, absolutely lovely, like a home from home.

Everything is there for you to enjoy your stay. Brilliant location. Stephen and Judith are lovely and excellent hosts. We enjoyed our stay that much we have already booked to go back in February next year. We couldn't have asked for better. The snug is wonderful and in the morning with a coffee listening to the radio is the perfect start to the day. Koda and Syrup loved the garden it was great for them and us as we had no worries about them getting out we could open the doors and let them have an explore and a play.Thank you. Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful cottage, very clean, very relaxing. A complete home from home. We had some washing whilst we were there so the only thing we would’ve liked is some pegs and a washing line but that’s a minor critique in comparison to how good it all was!

Lime Tree Cottage was utterly fantastic, it was just ideal for our family of 4.

Washing machine was available, dishwasher. Kirby Stephen was less than a 4 minute drive to get supplies in the Co-Op supermarket. The house was so easy to clean, great shower. We will be back and would highly recommend this beautiful house. Thank you Judith and Stephen

Lime Tree Cottage is a beautiful, well presented and resourced cottage and we had a wonderful holiday here.

The owners live next door, and are available as required but leave you to enjoy your break without any hassle. The cottage itself is great, cosy and has everything you need. Teddy (the pup) loved the garden. Winton is perfectly placed for us to explore the Lake District for swims and the Pennines for hikes. Would highly recommend!!

Excellent accommodation.

Clean, warm and cosy. Host was so welcoming and chatty. Lovely scones. We really enjoyed our stay. We don’t have a dog and you would never have known that the accommodation was dog friendly. It was immaculate!

A very comfortable cottage in a friendly and quiet village.

It had all the facilities we needed and we felt immediately at home. It was a great base for our hikes in the Yorkshire Dales.

Really beautiful cottage.

It had everything we needed. Lovely garden for our two dogs to have a run round. The cottage had plenty of storage and space. One of the best cottages we have stayed in so far. And we have stayed in a few!

This is fabulous property ideally located for walking in the Dales, Lake District and Pennines.

The traditional property has been sympathetically modernised and tastefully decorated throughout. We had every comfort here with a comfortable bed and great facilities for cooking in house. It is conveniently located for eating out in the village or getting a takeaway from nearby Kirkby Stephen. Our dog was delighted with the garden, and we could sit in the snug room with the radio on and chill out enjoying the view of the Pennines while he played outside. We would highly recommend, and we will be back again for more walks!

Our short stay at Lime Tree Cottage was perfect.

The quality of the decor, kitchen equipment and beds was high class. The enclosed garden gave our young dog the freedom to run around safely and gave us confidence that she was secure. The cottage was in the perfect village from which we could explore the beautiful area around Kirkby Stephen and beyond.

It had everything you need in a holiday home, there were so many beautiful walks from the door step and owners were very helpful with directions and walking advice. Would definitely recommend and book again!

Charming cottage in a beautiful location.

Facilities in the cottage were first class. The location was great for exploring the area. We would recommend the bay horse pub down the road, food was amazing and generous. Special shoutout to the barman he was so amazing and kind. All in all a great week away we would definitely return.

Amazing cottage, very well presented with everything you need for your stay.

Location is spot on and the garden space is a real bonus as well. Our kids loved the games left for us to use. Loads of information in the welcome pack for walks in surrounding area.

We have stayed in many cottages over the years but Lime Tree cottage was one of the best and ticked every box for us.

It was beautifully appointed, with everything needed for our stay. Although below freezing outside, it was so warm and cosy for a New Year break, in a pretty village with a friendly pub and with beautiful walks from the door. Many thanks!

The property was amazing, clean and comfortable.

The view from the snug lovely. The bed was so comfy I slept amazingly. The owners were on hand and so helpful. The property had everything you needed, more than any property I’ve stayed at before. Lime Tree Cottage is beautiful has everything you need for your stay.

The owners live next door and are available if you need anything but do not intrude on your stay. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend it, especially for a cosy break away.

Just perfect, cottage is cosy, beautifully renovated and well located.

The village pub serving lovely food was a bonus. The only things that could have improved the stay would have been some additional towels/bath mat and lamps downstairs so that the main lights could be turned off. Thank you for an amazing few days

This is a wonderful cottage in a pretty little village a very good location for exploring both Cumbria and Yorkshire.

The cottage finished to a fantastic standard with lovely grounds and great for our dog. Can't wait to come back. 10 out of 10 .

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Lime Tree Cottage.

The cottage is perfect. Very tastefully decorated throughout, comfortable and well equipped. The welcoming basket from Stephen and Judith was much appreciated. The garden was ideal for the dog. Plenty of space and enclosed with views of open fields and countryside all around. Winton is a beautiful, quiet location with plenty of walking options. A meal at the Bay House pub is recommended but definitely book first. The nearby town of Kirby Stephens had plenty of places to eat and drink and the people were all welcoming and friendly. It's location gives access to the Lakes, Pennines and Yorkshire Dales which are all a short drive away. Already planning our next stay. John, Karen and Bert the dog.

Beautiful cottage renovated tastefully in pretty village.

Friendly helpful owners, all conveniences provided. Welcome pack and many other thoughtful touches. Thoroughly recommend.

The cottage was very comfortable, very clean and recently renovated to a high standard.

Especially loved the Rocking chairs looking out onto the garden, very relaxing at any time of the day with a morning cuppa or glass of wine in the evening listening to the birdsong. Thankyou for the welcome gifts, they were very much appreciated.

A true little slice of heaven perfect venue and location for getting away from a stressful busy city life.

The house was wonderful, we enjoyed every moment and were definitely sad to leave . The village was peaceful and the locals very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend it .

Absolutely perfect little cottage in a idillic location.

Lots of local walks right from your doorstep. The inside decor is well thought out and is spacious but also super cosy. The weather was on my side so enjoyed the garden as did my dogs, one literally slept on the grass all day long! The snug and its rocking chairs looking out onto the garden and fields beyond was perfect. The owners live next door and were very friendly and said I could knock on their door if I needed anything. The only one thing I feel I need to mention is the garden fencing, if you have a very small dog or a fence jumper this garden will not be secure enough.Also if they are reactive to sheep as they are in the field at the bottom of the garden. Having 4 dogs myself and 2 of them being super reactive and escape artists i know I could not bring them. Having said that the two I did bring had the absolute best time and I will 100% be returning to Lime Tree Cottage
