  • "This is a lovely property in a perfect location with everything you need both in the cottage itself and within easy reach."

The people in Middletown are friendly and welcoming and it is a beautiful village to visit. We had an issue with the hob as there are no instructions, I did eventually work it out for myself but the neighbour offered to let us use his hob, how kind is that? Before we left I hoovered the property, as we have a dog and always aim to leave the property clean and tidy, there was rather a lot of dirt and dust behind the sofas, including a rogue malteser, which definitely wasn't ours! We did have a lovely stay though and would definitely recommend this cottage and will be back.

Thank you for your kind words about The Cobblers! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the cottage and found everything you needed. It's great to hear that the village and its people made your stay special. We appreciate your understanding regarding the hob situation and have taken your comments on board. Also, thank you for your efforts in keeping the place clean and tidy – it means a lot to us. We're delighted that you had a lovely stay and are considering a return. Your recommendation is truly appreciated. We look forward to hosting you again and ensuring another enjoyable experience. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed the cottage, it was perfectly situated, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen."

Also appreciated the local info, recommendations and maps. As keen runners, walkers and swimmers we really loved the Kings Walk into the nearby woods, it's very lovely in autumn. The village has all you need, little supermarket, deli, good second hand bookshop. We will plan to return again, thanks for a lovely stay

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. The foresters bistro has delicious reasonably priced food and is only a couple of minutes walk from the house. The information book was a fantastic source of inspiration as were the many leaflets and walking guides. We had a fantastic week in your warm and cosy home, thank you for the welcome treats they were very much appreciated.

Very clean and well maintained. Beautifully decorated and presented overall…even the outside WC! We couldn’t find the visitors book so were not able to leave any feedback. A great base to explore the stunning countryside. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

  • "Absolutely lovely inside as per pictures."

Obviously all recently renovated. Spotlesslessly clean. Everything you could ever need for a week or more stay. Kitchen full of equipment and so nice to have a full sized fridge and added bonus freezer. Lovely dinning area to eat in. All very cozy. Beds very comfortable. Parking on front not an issue. Walks galore from door were outstanding, and there were lots of walks/walking books/info on stuff to do.Traffic a bit noisy in a morning, but certainly wouldnt put us off returning. Weather not the best, but didnt stop us having a good holiday, it added to the fun. Loved the O/s map on wall and local scenes. Nice welcome gift. Thank you

The place was spotless, and very comfortable. The whole house was tastefully decorated, and the kitchen had everything you needed (even a wine chiller). The outside area was secure, so our Nell (6 year old cockapoo) could wander in and out at will safely. Cannot fault this property at all. One of the nicest holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend.
